This hotel offers incredible value for money and an outstanding customer experience! I arrived quite late, and the front desk staff warmly greeted me, asking if I was tired. They even upgraded my room! The room was huge, comfortable, and spotless. From the moment I arrived, I felt such a welcoming atmosphere. I ended up staying for three nights without hesitation. This will definitely be my top choice next time I'm in Shanghai.

I chose to stay at the Hongqiao Hotel for the women's half marathon because it's very close to the starting line. Even though the hotel is quite old, the room facilities and details were excellent. The bedding, pillows, and mattress were all very comfortable. The front desk kindly upgraded me to an executive king room, which had a bathtub – perfect for a relaxing soak after the race. I was very satisfied with my stay.

I reported it to customer service without expecting an immediate fix, but the front desk quickly sent someone to move us to a different room. It was Christmas when I stayed, and the hotel restaurant was decorated very warmly. On Christmas Eve, I even received an apple from the front desk, a traditional gift for good luck. Carrying it as I walked down the street, I didn't feel so lonely during my travels. This time, I noticed there are many tailor shops just to the left of the hotel exit, which would be very convenient if you need clothes altered or mended. I'm growing to love this hotel more and more.
