"Very clean and modern hotel next to the mall. Numerous shopping and dining facilities nearby. Breakfast was well prepared and set out from 6:30am. Staff were polite and welcoming. Gym and pool available on the second floor. Tea and coffee available in room."
"This is an affordable and quite convenient option for solo travellers or those staying short-term. The room is clean, it’s spacious and generally quiet (at least from outside traffic). The location is pretty central. The water pressure on the shower is excellent, but be careful with the hot water as it can become scalding hot very quickly. The shower can also overflow to the outside so make sure to aim away from the shower door. It is a 15-20 minute walk from the subway station and as there is currently construction on the way to the station, this path is not the most convenient. If you are near the elevator it can get quite noisy with guests coming and going, as well as children. Another problem was the shortage of bath towels. We only had one large bath towel and had to go down and request this twice. However all the staff and cleaners are friendly and efficient."
"We enjoyed our stay at Joya! It’s a beautiful boutique style hotel that brings in the Chinese culture. Located in a one of the most Japanese dominant area in Shanghai. Room are very spacious, great service, lovely intercontinental Chinese morning buffet. The shower area is relatively big, overall a lot spacious compared to other regular rooms. We would definitely stay here again, it’s about 15-20mins drive to most prominent areas. Reception also gave us a little gift upon check out! 🩷"
"We had a short stay sadly, but we loved every bit of the hotel experience. Amazing staff, English speaking, hotel is at good location, luxurious. Available swimming pool and fitness on 4th floor. Breakfast and dinner are amazing."
"I would like to recommend this hotel is good location, very decent area and comfortable to stay. Excelent breakfast, close to metro lines, all services very good. Staff is friendly, next time sure will come here again."
GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with their warm and professional service. The check-in process was smooth and quick, and the room was clean, modern, and very comfortable. One of the highlights was the view — whether from the room or the rooftop, it was truly impressive. I also appreciated the amenities: a well-equipped gym, a relaxing pool area, and a delicious breakfast buffet with a wide variety of options. The location was ideal, close to restaurants, shops, and public transport, which made getting around very convenient. I also liked how quiet the rooms were despite being in a busy area. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers.
GGuest UserI’ve been visiting The Peninsula for a decade, and it’s a magnificent hotel. The location is brilliant, the indoor pool is one of the best in the world, the spa team is phenomenal. Yet on this recent visit, the service, while quite good, wasn’t the sort of impeccable, seamless joy one hopes for: the early staffing for breakfast was limited, without a dedicated host to welcome and seat guests; I realize it was a Saturday night on a holiday weekend, but a twenty minute wait just to be able to order room service is a bit much; over half of the deserts on the menu were unavailable. The room is wonderfully comfortable as always, fantastic housekeeping and amenities—I do hope they can get back to the very high bar they’ve set for themselves across all of their hotels. Plus truly stunning views if you’re in a river view room.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located near Nanjing pedestrian road, only5-10 mins walk from Mosaic department store. The family room is really big and suitable for big Family of 4-6 people😊 There are lots of plugs in the room. The room is well equipped with all necessary things. The only one point I want to improve is to change some breakfast menu. (I stayed here 3 days , same menu everyday😂) The flushing water in the toilet is not that strong, but it is nice automated toilet! The staffs are very polite and friendly. My family love this hotel so much😍
GGuest UserI would like to sincerely commend Jude from the concierge team at Waldorf Astoria for his exceptional service. Despite it being 12am, Jude was incredibly helpful and proactive in assisting me with a parcel that was mistakenly sent to the wrong address. His willingness to help at such a late hour, coupled with his calm and professional attitude, truly reflects the high standards of service associated with Waldorf Astoria. Please extend my heartfelt thanks to Jude — his dedication did not go unnoticed and made a stressful situation much easier to manage. The other team members in the concierge department also did a helpful job with our baggage. It’s just unfortunate that I can’t have my Meituan food delivery sent by the hotel staff directly to my room. This was inconvenient but I understand the food and hygiene aspects that they uphold. Generally, a pleasant stay with best location. The bund view is just too awesome!
GGuest UserThe place is acceptable, the price is reasonable, the service is acceptable, and the room is acceptable considering the price. Overall, this hotel is acceptable.
