It's already my third time staying here, consistently clean and well serviced, added breakfast this time. I love their fresh soy bean milk, cooking station for wontons and a wide spread of food.

This is my third time staying at this hotel, and it’s easily one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at in Shanghai! The location is absolutely unbeatable for getting around the city—restaurants and convenience stores are all within walking distance, making daily trips and errands incredibly convenient. The housekeeping service is consistently excellent; my room is thoroughly cleaned every day and always kept neat and tidy. Even the front desk staff were warm, friendly, and extremely helpful during check-in, going out of their way to assist with my needs. It’s because of the outstanding service and perfect location that I keep coming back, and it never fails to meet my expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shanghai!

Great hotel. 10-15 minutes walk from metro. Staff are nice. Breakfast is good. Air conditioning works great (see note below about turning on) Complaints: the coffee machine keep running out of water and so does the milk jar - have to ask staff to refill it. My room's air conditioner in Chinese and touchpad is abit finicky to turn in (I have to press function button, then switch button but it takes a few goes). My rooms shower water flow pressure doesn't seem to be controlable, it's press a button, so there is LOTS of water and it's loud.

It was such a pleasure for us to stay at Amara! We had a lovely vacation, and the staff was also very welcoming! Love the high floor view and the room is spacious and clean 🥰 Located in Putuo neighbourhood. It takes roughly 5-7 minutes to walk to Changshou Road Metro Station. Modern bathroom design with great amenities! The gym was well-equipped, but the pool was closed when we visited. Definitely coming again if we come back to Shanghai 🇨🇳

Hotel Review – 5 Stars Location: Shanghai, China I recently had the pleasure of staying at one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve visited in a long time during my trip to Shanghai. From the moment I arrived, everything about this hotel radiated quality and comfort. The room was exceptionally clean, very spacious, and thoughtfully laid out, with modern decor that still managed to feel warm and inviting. Every detail, from the plush bedding to the well-appointed bathroom, reflected the hotel’s commitment to guest comfort. The service was excellent across the board. The staff were attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile and ensure everything was to our satisfaction. Another huge plus was the location – very convenient and well connected, making it easy to explore the city while having a calm, luxurious retreat to return to at the end of the day. I’ll absolutely be referring this hotel to many friends and would happily return myself. If you’re looking for a high-end stay in Shanghai that blends beauty, comfort, and service, this hotel is a perfect choice.

Both the exterior and interior of the hotel are aesthetically pleasing. Simple and yet portray elegance. I felt welcome instantly from the front staffs at the counter. And throughout my 9 days stay, the service have been consistently excellent and especially out of ordinary to the staffs whom help with my laundry, without extra charges. The overall cleanliness is definitely good, but I do feel it could be better with better sanitised floors. I also felt safe to stay in this place, away from the more touristy area. The window sealing is excellent quality to block from the strong winds and as noise barrier. The only cons is I was able to hear commotion outside the door as apparently the corridors are narrow. Overall, It will still be my choice of stay on my next visit to Shanghai again.

The experience was great . Stayed for 6 nights the front desk receptionists wheee super helpful. Went above and beyond. The location was perfect as well. Close to the metro and a lot of eating areas. Only a short metro ride away to the Jing an areas as well.

Hotel is very clean with nice ambiance, we were welcome with super friendly and accommodating front desk staff and he was extremely helpful in assisting us in our stay and explaining the rooms to us. We were also given breakfast with super discount rate and we extremely enjoyed the breakfast in the hotel 。 The location is good and we extended our stay in the hotel.

We stayed for four nights and were very happy with our stay. It is a business hotel, the staff is nice, it is clean, we got new water bottles every day and used the laundry service - good to know: it is not a laundry room and you cannot wash your delicates with the laundry service! the location was good for us! We loved to use the bikes in Shanghai. The breakfast was nice and plenty as well!

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff were very nice and welcoming, the room was clean, and the whole place felt quiet and comfortable. It’s also conveniently located — not far from the subway station, which made getting around really easy. Overall, a great stay and I would definitely come back!
