The stay was amazing! Although it’s up a mountain and requires taking a few flights of stairs, it’s absolutely worth it for the breathtaking views. The location was excellent—right near the north entrance of the ancient city, which made exploring very convenient. The hospitality was outstanding; the staff went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed, even carrying our luggage up for us. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable stay.

The host is very accommodating and helpful. We were greeted with tea and fruits upon arrival. They also helped to carry our luggage from didi pickup point to the house. The stay was comfortable. The heater functioned properly. The room was big and as advertised. Theres plenty of space to eat and chill, and store your luggage inside the room. Very clean and the host will top up the amenities if needed. The inn is very close to the ancient town, just need a bit walk downstairs and you'll reach the small river. Theres also convenience store when you go down the road. We booked our jade dragon snow mountain trip with the host. The price is slightly on the higher end, but it was a last minute decision so its alright. They can also help you plan your itinerary for your stay. We went to alot of great place so Lijiang is very enjoyable~ Overall its a recommended place to stay. However, in my opinion the inn location is not suitable for elderly people because theres a lot of stairs.

Can’t recommend this place enough! Really didn’t know what I was expecting but it exceeded all expectations. For the price, it’s super worth - nestled in a quieter part of old town, away from the noise and with actually good food around, it’s such a hidden gem and walkable within 10 mins to the main parts of old town. Great for those looking for quieter mornings to drink tea & coffee. Booked for the rooftop view but stayed for the warm hospitality of the team, unlimited delicious coffee, and the super comfortable bed (I even wanted to buy the duvet 😆). One of the hotel staff 王兆峰 helped us A LOT - from where to get the best rose pastries, food recommendations & getting us freebies from restaurants, to sharing tips & what to look out for from tourist traps. There is a bit of walk and it is up the steps from the main road but the staff will help you carry your luggages, breakfast is at a nearby shop with delicious baos and mixian!

We visit during the off season Jan 2026, which is cold. The hotel is about 100meters or so from the main road, and needs to drag the luggage on the pavement which is a cobble stone lined. We did not engage the hotel receptionist on time of arrival, which they should be able to help on the luggage transfer. The hotel leads to a nearby attraction 狮子山. Just like other surrounding hotels, all main attractions within the Lijiang Old Town are walking distance. The service Aunty is very good and she can remember us eating one bowl of noddle on day 1. On day 2 breakfast we requested for one but she served two bowls and mentioned she was afraid we did not have enough. So sweet of her.

We had amazing 3 days here in the hotel thanks to Paul and the staff lady (Xiaosu). They answered all of our questions, gave awesome recommendations, and took care of us from the little details. Room is very clean, tidy with an amazing rooftop view. Definitely recommend!

One of My Best Stay Experiences—Authentic & Unforgettable This was one of my most memorable hotel stays, and I’ve stayed at many top-tier, five-star hotels around the world. While this may not be the most luxurious in terms of facilities, it more than makes up for it with its genuine charm and warmth. The owner was incredibly friendly, making us feel like we were staying at a friend’s home rather than a hotel. This welcoming vibe perfectly complements the enchanting atmosphere of this beautiful ancient city.   The views were absolutely breathtaking, especially from our top-floor room. The owner went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience, offering a spectacular panorama of the old town and surrounding mountains. The location is ideal—perched on a small hill, it provides an elevated vantage point for those stunning views, though the short uphill walk may be a slight effort due to the altitude. But trust me, it’s worth it.   If you’re visiting Lijiang to immerse yourself in its relaxed beauty and rich culture, there’s no better place to stay. I originally booked for three nights but quickly realized I’d need more time—next visit, I’m planning a full week to truly unwind and soak it all in. This isn’t a place to rush; it’s a place to slow down, savor the moment, and let the magic of Lijiang embrace you.   I can’t wait to return.

Highly recommend, very clean and accomodating. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming by offering us a lot of snacks and teas to enjoy at night. The smart rooms were spacious and could be controlled entirely by voice. They also had a spacious lounge on the top floor with a beautiful view of the yulong snow mountain from the terrace. The breakfast was free and delicious. I would love to come back again and would definitely go visit their new location in shangri la. PS the pet dogs and cats were so cute.

Spacious room with amazing views—on clear days you can spot Yulong Snow Mountain! The staff are super kind, showed us around Lijiang Old Town, and helped with our luggage. The homestay is up on Shizi Mountain, so expect some climbing, but still an easy 5/5. Breakfast was great too!

Staying at Shile Hotspring, Lijiang was such an amazing experience! The service was top-notch and the staff were super helpful. We even got a room upgrade! The room was comfy, clean, and peaceful. They recommended great places to eat and nice costume rental shops too. The staff kept checking if we needed anything and even reminded us not to shower in the middle of the night before heading to Shangri-La Plus… they have super cute cats Highly recommended!

The location is truly excellent, right by the ancient city. Parking is super convenient at a public lot just 100 meters away, and it's quite affordable at a maximum of 30 for 24 hours. That's a much better deal than the 70 we paid for 24 hours at the guesthouse parking inside the ancient city the night before! The room itself was clean, tidy, spacious, and bright. The courtyard-view king room had an XGIMI projector, which was incredibly clear. After a tiring day of exploring, it was so comfortable and lovely to just lie in bed and watch movies on the projector!
