"This was my second stay at Block 2 of the Haikou Yingbin Hotel. As always, the front desk staff and doormen were incredibly warm and attentive. The room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast offered a great variety of dishes. The coffee served in the restaurant was excellent, and the restaurant staff were very proactive. It was the Lantern Festival that day, and the hotel even thoughtfully provided Longjing tea tangyuan for breakfast."

The personalized service was exceptional; Sherry, the Assistant Manager in the lobby, deserves special praise. She noticed I hadn't come to the restaurant for breakfast one day and proactively messaged me to ask if I needed breakfast delivered to my room. It truly made me feel at home! The buffet restaurant's service was just okay, and the food quality could be improved.

LLeonard HanekomThis was by far the best stay I’ve ever had in Haikou.
First, the staff were absolutely amazing. I messaged the day before to ask if there was a cake shop nearby, since it was my wife’s birthday. When we arrived at the hotel, they not only provided a cake for us free of charge, but also upgraded our room to a top-floor sea view room—completely complimentary.
The room itself was spotless and beautiful. The swimming pool was a short walk from the hotel, but very nice, and the hot springs and fish spa were truly relaxing.
We also tried the buffet for just 198 RMB per person, and it was well worth it. The food was excellent—the sashimi was fresh, beer and wine were included, and the variety was broad. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
Overall, this was an amazing experience, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Haikou.

HHuangzhaohongAs a frequent business traveler to Haikou, the Renaissance has always been my go-to hotel. This stay, however, I was truly won over by Tracy at the front desk!
As soon as I arrived, she greeted me with a warm smile. The check-in process was incredibly smooth and efficient, swift yet gentle. She proactively considered my need for rest after business travel and prioritized assigning me a quiet room on a higher floor.
Later, when I inquired about luggage storage and local transportation, Tracy patiently and thoroughly answered all my questions. Her professionalism was outstanding, and there was no hint of perfunctoriness.
It's truly therapeutic to encounter such thoughtful and reliable service when you're tired from business trips. Next time I'm in Haikou, I'll definitely choose the Renaissance again, and I'll be looking for Tracy!

GGuest UserThe room was clean and spacious, tidy and hygienic, and the bed was comfortable. They gave us dragon fruit and mango, and the mango was very sweet. We could see a distant sea view from the side. It's a few kilometers from Qilou Old Street, the beach, Yunlong Library, and it's only about a 30-minute taxi ride to the Volcanic Park, duty-free shop, and provincial museum. It's also very convenient to find local specialty restaurants nearby. The only thing to improve is that the water pressure on the 12th floor isn't very strong.

GGuest UserWe stayed at this resort for 4 nights at the beginning of May while my kids (ages 9 and 11) were on school break. They loved it. They really enjoyed the pool, the springs and the breakfast and dinner buffets. The sushi restaurant is also good. The kids liked the slides and obstacle course in the pool area. There are so many springs here, with varying temperatures so you can choose to soak in cold ones or hot ones. And they are broken into regions (Asia, Europe, America, Africa). The service we received was great. Everyone was very helpful. Jordon in particular was very clear in communicating with me about what was included with our booking and how to access those items. There were a lot of other families at the resort since it was a holiday time but it was not too crowded. Would definitely recommend it to others. Close by is Mission Hills Centreville (retail shopping area), Feng Xiaogang Movie Town (featuring recreated old Chinese movie sets) and Splash City (a large water park). It's commendable that they can maintain Ascott's service standards in such a desolate environment.
Two things that left a deep impression:
1. The front desk proactively packed breakfast for me as I had an early departure the next day.
2. The spa staff were waiting for me an hour in advance.
One area for improvement:
1. Upon check-in, the front desk could proactively share information about the cultural center's activities with guests.
Xiao Liang and Xiao Su provided excellent service, making both check-in and check-out smooth.

GGuest UserLet's start with the positives: The Ritz-Carlton's service is consistently excellent, and the hotel rooms are fully equipped with all amenities. The mattress was also quite comfortable. While breakfast wasn't extensive, the food was delicious, and the hotel offers a great view.
Now for the drawbacks: The hotel lacks sufficient children's facilities, the pool is small, and the surrounding area offers limited amenities.
In summary: Strictly speaking, it's not really a family-friendly resort. Next time I visit Haikou, I'll definitely choose a hotel in the city center.

MMadeliliweiThe service was excellent, and all the staff were incredibly friendly.
First, they upgraded our room upon check-in. When we noticed a strange noise from the air conditioning, they immediately sent a technician to fix it. They even offered to change our room if we weren't satisfied, which was very prompt.
Second, a package arrived at the smart locker before we checked in. The staff, upon learning this, informed us that the locker was quite far away and proactively went to retrieve it and deliver it to our room. That was incredibly thoughtful!
Third, even the cleaning staff were wonderful. They'd ask what you needed and were happy to help with any requests.
However, there are a few drawbacks:
First, there's no direct beach access from the hotel, nor is there a beach right across. You have to walk about 10 minutes to get to it, with one side being rocky and the other being the sandy beach. I'd recommend taking a Didi (ride-sharing service) because it's too hot and tiring to walk.
Second, the hotel's recreational area isn't very large. While it's enough for younger kids, older children might find the facilities a bit limited.
Third, despite the cleaning lady's friendly attitude, the room wasn't as clean as it could be. I mentioned to her that there were ants on the floor, especially in areas that weren't mopped due to the humidity, which was quite noticeable.
