BBuzhidaojiaoshenmejiujiaozhegeLocation: The hotel is right in the city center, making it super convenient to get around. Taxis to all the major attractions were less than 20 minutes. Facilities: The facilities are excellent, and the smart toilet was a nice bonus. The bed was very comfortable, and the room layout was well-designed. Cleanliness: The room was spotless, which made for a very comfortable stay. Environment: The environment is fantastic, especially the lobby on the top floor. The views are incredible, offering a panoramic sight of Haikou city – it’s the perfect spot to watch the sunset. This time, I also tried the executive lounge, and the service was extremely attentive. The snacks were delicious, and the cocktails were great too! Service: During this stay, Shirley was incredibly helpful. She gave us excellent recommendations for food and activities, showing great thoughtfulness! The breakfast was also very good, maintaining a high standard. I’ll definitely stay here again next time I’m in Haikou!

YYyy1cantI came to Haikou to relax and specifically booked a seaview room at the InterContinental Hotel for one night. Overall, it was a very impressive and satisfying stay. The day before my arrival, the hotel called me to inquire about my check-in time and room type preferences, which was a much better experience than some hotels that assign you a bad room upon check-in. Upon arrival, the front desk staff warmly processed my check-in and clearly directed me to the restaurants and other facilities without any sign of impatience. The entire lobby was very grand, with both the decor and the views being very well-designed. The room itself was a pleasant surprise; it was spacious, and the decor was excellent. Most importantly, the view was absolutely incredible! Opening the balcony door revealed a vast ocean view, and watching the sunset in the evening was truly spectacular. The hotel's swimming pool is also exceptionally well-built, giving off a true resort vibe. The hotel's service is genuinely top-notch. As I mentioned, they called before check-in and also followed up with a call after check-in to ask about my experience. When I left, I accidentally left something in the room, and the hotel called to inform me, kept it safe, and sent it to the concierge. Both online and in-person, their tone was consistently respectful and enthusiastic. Now, let's talk about the downsides. Firstly, the room didn't have a bathtub, which was a bit disappointing, especially considering the price point and room type. Most five-star hotels at this level typically include a bathtub, but it was missing in my room. Secondly, regarding the hotel's speaker system: I had asked on Trip.com beforehand if the room had speakers, and their reply was no. However, when I arrived, I found that it did (?). The sound quality of the speakers was rather mediocre, which wasn't ideal for someone like me who enjoys listening to music. Overall, InterContinental Haikou is a hotel with excellent service, great value for money, and impressive decor and design. I hope the hotel can pay more attention to small details like the speakers, as it would greatly enhance guests' happiness. I look forward to more pleasant surprises on my next visit.

GGuest UserStepping onto the balcony, you're greeted by a stunning 'jellyfish sea' – the ocean view is absolutely breathtaking! The breakfast offers a delightful mix of Chinese and Western dishes, with a mountain of Hainanese noodles doused in flavorful sauce, a local specialty. You can also enjoy freshly squeezed juices. The room is incredibly spacious with panoramic sea views from every angle. The Chinese New Year activities were really fun too. Our butler, Serena, contacted us in advance and even upgraded our room. She was so attentive and enthusiastic during our stay. I'd definitely come back if I get the chance!

Getting around is super convenient, whether you're heading to Qilou Old Street for some food and exploring, or going to the beach to catch the sunset, a taxi ride is always easy. The large floor-to-ceiling windows in the room offer amazing city night views, and the mattress is incredibly soft, guaranteeing a great night's sleep. The minibar is well-stocked with drinks and spirits, and the ironing facilities are a thoughtful touch. When checking in with kids, the hotel even proactively provides children's amenities – they really pay attention to the details. Overall, the prime location is a huge plus, making travel, shopping, and finding food completely stress-free. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Haikou! ✨

GGuest UserOverall, the experience was fantastic! The Chinese restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel serves really good food. The pool and beach right outside are perfect for kids. Our butler, Rebecca, was incredibly thoughtful and made sure everything we needed was promptly arranged. She was super nice!

GGuest UserThe extended breakfast until noon during Chinese New Year was an absolute lifesaver for late risers like me! Being able to sleep in and then grab breakfast without any rush was fantastic. While the hotel is a bit older, it's still very convenient and comfortable. The pool has facilities for kids, and there are four hot spring pools. Staff were always present, and it never felt too crowded. A swim followed by a hot spring dip every day was incredibly relaxing. There's live singing every evening, and the hotel is very close to the beach, making it super easy to go back and forth. They even gave us complimentary popcorn! The buffet dinner was also quite good. Plus, there's an area for pets, which is a big plus for pet owners. My only wish is for more playground equipment like climbing frames within the resort – the kids enjoyed themselves so much they didn't want to leave the hotel!

GGuest UserRoom was big and the bed was huge! Location wasn’t the best as it’s quite far from the city so had to take 30-45mins ride everyday just to get to the city, and then back. Hotel is pretty old as it was built for a long time, and you do have to cross something like an express way to get the the beach which is not very convenient too. Overall pretty nice as I got it at a good deal.

AAnonymous UserThe front desk was helpful and attentive. I got a free upgrade to river view so I was happy. The mattress and bedsheet were clean but the room was a bit run-down. I liked the gifts included which were free photography, tea bags, coconut bowl souvenir, etc. The photographer was responsive and professional. Overall a satisfactory stay. The free Chinese-style breakfast may not suit everyone and may not have many choices.

AAnonymous UserThis hotel is very close to the sea. You can hear the sound of the waves in the room. When you lie on the bed, you can see the swimming pool, coconut trees, and the beach. I especially like the hot spring swimming pool here. I don't want to leave. I have lived here since 2002. It was very ”aristocratic” back then. Now there are more hotels on the west coast and fewer people here, which is exactly the advantage here. It is very quiet. You can be in a daze here and think about problems. There is no cafeteria here. It is perfect to go to the nearby Fushan Cafe for breakfast, and go to the nearby Sheraton for afternoon tea in the afternoon. Before and after dinner, walk along the wave line outside the hotel to the Sheraton. It's not that you can't afford to stay at the Sheraton, but it's more cost-effective to watch the sea, listen to the sea and touch the sea here.
