GGuest UserAbsolutely stunning! Facing the sea, it's incredibly refreshing and calming. Rongshanliao is Hainan's very own Dali! This hotel is also very Instagrammable and has a fresh, minimalist vibe. If I had to be nitpicky, I'd say the cleanliness could be a bit better. But I don't blame the owners; the beach is right outside, and with white floors, it's hard to keep it spotless every second. Perhaps they could consider putting a hose to rinse off sand right by the entrance?

GGelimaPros: The hotel is quite close to Haikou East Railway Station. The front desk staff were polite and enthusiastic. The room was spacious, clean, and free of any odd smells. The layout was reasonable, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. The USB panel switches and outlets were well-designed and very convenient to use! I booked a special offer room, which was great value for money.
Cons: The hotel has a cylindrical building design. My room was arranged in a 'pin' shape with two adjacent rooms, meaning our doors were very close to each other. At 2:28 AM, I was startled awake by a doorbell ring, followed by incessant knocking. I was genuinely frightened… Later, I realized the sounds were coming from next door. With the doors being so close, it really sounded like someone was knocking on my own room door! Also, the window faced the street, so the room was quite noisy, though this didn't bother me too much.

The pool was clean and uncrowded, the security guard was very friendly, and the front desk was also very helpful. The room was clean and tidy, and you could cook your own meals. Grocery shopping was also convenient nearby. Overall, this hotel had everything you'd expect from a high-end hotel, offering a high-quality travel experience at a reasonable price.

GGuest UserI booked the Mishu Hotel through Ctrip. It's super close to Haikou East Station, which was really convenient. The hotel facilities are great, well-arranged, and the room was very spacious, clean, and even had smart controls. For just over a hundred yuan, it's excellent value for money and very economical. The staff were all smiles, and my stay was very pleasant. The only downside was that the elevator wasn't installed yet, which was a bit of a struggle for us older folks.

GGuest UserThis place is great. Very clean and everything is new and hi-tech. A robot brings your orders to you right to your room door. Smart toilet seat (warmed-up at all times). Motion detector-activated night lights. Smart mirror.
I twisted an ankle playing polo on the 2nd day of my Haikou stay. And, instead of having a nice tropical vacation, had to spend almost 3 weeks in bed in my hotel room, barely able to walk. The hotel staff went out of their way to help me cope with the injury. They were giving me Hainan specialty foods, like coconut candy and coconut chips for free.
Special thanks to
1) the Front Desk staff. All of them.
2) the 7th Floor cleaning ladies. They cleaned my room daily, while I actually had to sit in the room, as I had a hard time walking. They showed simpathy and understanding and were wishing me speedy recovery every day.
On the check-out day I had an early morning flight to catch, so I checked out at 4am. The front desk girl gave me for free a pack of milk, a packed cookie and a pack of nuts so I could have a quick breakfast. I didn't even ask for that, so thanks.
My best wishes and thanks to this hotel, its staff and management!

GGuest UserI usually don't write reviews when I travel, and if I do, it's typically only for bad experiences. However, the service at this hotel in Haikou was truly excellent, and the room was very clean. They even offer a late-night snack (congee), and meals are delivered by robot. What's especially worth mentioning is that I usually book a twin room, but this time I booked a king-size bed. Worried I wouldn't sleep well, I asked the front desk for an extra quilt. Initially, they said it wasn't allowed, but the front desk lady consulted someone and kindly provided one for free (I slept wonderfully!). Also, when we arrived that afternoon, it was very hot, so I took a shower immediately. I contacted the front desk, and they promptly sent up two extra bath towels. Their attitude was excellent, and I'm very grateful! Just a small note: the light above our mirror wasn't working, but it didn't affect our mood at all 😊😊🌹🌹🌹

GGuest UserNianhai Book Bureau Hotel is newly renovated in 2025, the appearance is OK, but parking is very inconvenient, next to the hotel gate is close to the waste recycling station , there is no parking space of its own, you need to park at Baishamen Park opposite the road, and you need to pay the screenshot of your own fee and then find the store for reimbursement.
The lighting layout of the room is unreasonable, except for brightness and warmth, the so-called warmth is that the lights are all off, and brightness is the light.
The room was clean and tidy, and there was a smell of wall paint because of the new decoration. The bathroom provided disposable towels.
The highlight is that there is a bookstore in the lobby where you can sit on the sofa and read.

GGuest UserOk so this is another B&B home stay that I tried after staying for one night in an overpriced one next door. This is better price wise but much worse in terms of cleanliness and overall care for the place. My room had previous guests hair, plastic wrapping my, a used juice bottle in the fridge and no toilet paper. And also overall for a new place, it looked very run down. I cut my stay short as a result.
This stretch of the beach is nice and all these home stays are decent accommodations for like a B&B or Homestay style. Same issues - village is quiet during the hot day and literally nothing to do as there are no swimming pools or gyms or spas or anything really around. Street stalls open in the evening when Sun comes down. This place is also overpriced although much less so than the previous one. Sgd68/night for a room with direct ocean view. Much better than Sgd125/night one next door.
Overall recommendation - unless u are Chinese or speak fluent Chinese and don’t mind staying in the room all day reading or doing nothing, while watching the ocean, don’t recommend to stay here.
I got a good deal at Holidays Inn nearby for sgd50/night with good breakfast included top floor. Not luxurious and needs some maintenance too, but at least has a gym, a restaurant, and a sky pool.
Overall disappointing experience @ this rongshangliao village.
