Nice 1 hour ride to enjoy the night view of Huang pu river, Shanghai buildings. Recommended to visit at night. Easy to exchange tickets at counter and the entrance to the cruise is just right beside it. Our ride was relax and fun as there’s not much people for the 1930 trip. There was a VIP at upper deck which you have to pay a small amount to get seated outdoor but you will have free flow snacks and drinks.

Great little experience for kids! We enjoyed it and booked the round trip. You can get off and explore the other side before taking the tunnel back.

The Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai is one of Shanghai's most iconic landmarks. Everyone who visits the tower must stop by to take a photo. I love the lights at night. My friend and I walked around to the other side, opposite the Oriental Pearl Tower. It's a public park in Shanghai, a prominent symbol of the city. The North Bund area is especially popular for its photo opportunities. This side is less crowded and very beautiful. 🚇 To get there, take the subway to Lujiazui Station on Line 2 and walk for 2-3 minutes.

I went there right when the gates opened at 9am on a Thursday, so it was empty. I bought a two-ball ticket, and there was a lot to see, including a glass-walled photo spot as everyone said, art using projection mapping, and a corner explaining Chinese history. It was a lot of fun.

I recently had the pleasure of taking the night scene cruise in Shanghai. The experience was delightful, with stunning views of the city's skyline illuminated at night. Please note that there is an additional fee of 100 RMB for a designated seating area, which enhances the overall experience. The staff were exceptionally polite and made the boarding process seamless. I highly recommend this cruise for anyone wanting to enjoy a beautiful evening in Shanghai.

Bring your own food and drinks and enjoy the view of Pudong and the Bund from the water. Whether sheltered inside the boat or enjoying the fresh breeze on the outer deck. A reasonable price for an hour's trip.

It was very easy to book and get on the boat. Definitely a highlight of our Shanghai trip! No matter where you are on the boat you have a great view of the skyline and can take a lot of pictures. It is also not packed so you can still move around easily.

Top 5 Shanghai Skyline Attraction: Jin Mao Tower

As a part of the Pudong skyline trio (alongside Shanghai Tower and Shanghai World Financial Center), Jin Mao Tower offers an observation deck on the 88th floor with breathtaking panoramic views.

What to Expect:

  • The deck provides a slightly lower but equally impressive perspective compared to the Shanghai Tower.
  • Admire its traditional Chinese aesthetics through its tiered pagoda-inspired silhouette and the use of the number 8 (considered extremely lucky to Chinese people)!
  • Less crowded than some of the other towers.

Pro Tips:

  • Consider visiting Jin Mao if you want a great view without the overwhelming crowds.
  • The tower is often included in layover tours.

Отличная обзорная площадка на 360 градусов, хороший вид на набережную Вайтань и Шанхайскую Жемчужину. Экскурсия стоит своих денег, однозначно рекомендую Один только минус - окна были грязноваты..

I highly recommend it. It's best to buy a ticket here for the trip. I wouldn't recommend getting an extra ticket for the laser show. It's nothing too special. If there's more than one of you, you can send one of you and watch the video later.

It's reasonably priced, but nighttime photos aren't very good because the glass isn't clean and is scratched. The outdoor walkway is very interesting.

Insider Tips for Capturing the Perfect Shanghai Skyline

  • Choose the best time: The Shanghai skyline night view is spectacular, but daytime offers clarity for photography. For the best of both, visit during the "blue hour" just after sunset.
  • Check the weather: Check the forecast before heading to observation decks; fog and pollution can occasionally obscure views.

Beyond Shanghai Skyline

  • Water Towns: For a contrast to the urban jungle, visit Zhujiajiao Ancient Town, known as the "Venice of the East." It offers a glimpse into old China while being just an hour from the modern skyline.
  • Cultural Integration: Pair your skyline tour with cultural experiences like enjoying traditional Yue Opera or exploring the art of Gu embroidery to appreciate Shanghai’s full depth.
