"Had a really pleasant stay at ARTOTEL. The hotel has a modern and stylish concept, and the overall atmosphere feels comfortable and welcoming. The room was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully prepared with some nice little touches. I especially appreciated the complimentary chocolate and juice provided in the fridge, as well as the sleep aromatherapy provided in the room. These small details were a lovely surprise and made the stay feel a little more special and relaxing. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful throughout our visit, which made the whole experience even better. The location is also convenient and makes it easy to get around. One of the highlights was definitely the breakfast. There was a really good variety of food, including authentic Indonesian dishes and a nice selection of traditional Indonesian cakes and pastries. I really enjoyed having the opportunity to try different local flavours instead of only the usual international hotel breakfast options. There were plenty of choices, and everything made for a great start to the day. I also really liked the unique design and artistic touches throughout the hotel. It gives ARTOTEL its own character and makes it feel different from a typical hotel. Overall, it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. From the thoughtful amenities in the room to the wide breakfast selection and friendly service, everything came together nicely. I would definitely consider staying at ARTOTEL again on my next visit."

"It's a refurbished hotel, previously known as Sahid. I'm not sure if they were doing enough renovating the hotel though. I was surprised the room was unlike their photos, the door was bulging as if they were made from wood ashes, the smell of cigarettes was so strong even though I requested for no smoking room. I wasn't sure why, but then they came to spray something to get rid of the smell after that. Another issue was the aircond. I already complained about this, but the engineering team came, but only to wipe it. I already told him that the water passage was blocked, but he juat wiped it down. I suspected that it would happen again, and lo and behold it did. I was so frustrated about this. When I reported this issue, they came again, and confirmed my suspicion all along. They said it wouldn't take long, but it did. They said to wait for their supervisor. After a while, it's decided that I had to move to another room. It took them a while too, only to move me the a room a stone away from the current one. When I got to the new room, the cigarette smell was actually worse, so the guy who moved me called the front desk to move me again, but they were very reluctant to make the change. It was suffocating just to be in the room, even with an opened door. Too many back and forth, and finally they moved me. I was already tired from the travel around the city, and they did this. I was so disappointed. The food was modest at best. Cigarette smell was too strong around the hotel."

"Overall, it was quite an unpleasant experience. 1. Booked a non-smoking room but was given a smoking room. We specifically booked a non-smoking room, and the receptionist clearly confirmed that the room assigned to us was non-smoking. We even signed the T&C agreement. However, we later found out that the room was actually a smoking room. Ridiculous! We ended up staying one night in that room and, thankfully, after making a complaint, the hotel managed to arrange a non-smoking room for us the following day. 2. Avoid booking a connecting room unless you’re travelling with friends or family. The soundproofing between the connecting rooms is really poor. We could easily hear the guests next door talking and laughing loudly, even after midnight. We had already complained to the receptionist, and although they lowered their voices for a while, the noise started again afterwards and we could still hear them clearly. To be fair, there are some positives: 1. Good location 2. Wide variety of breakfast options 3. Comfortable bed and pillows"

"The room provided was spacious, but it was rather basic and felt more like a normal apartment than a hotel apartment. The air conditioning was not properly serviced and was dusty. An iron was not provided in the room, and when we requested one, we were informed that all the irons were already in use. On the positive side, the breakfast was delicious and offered a good variety of food. The swimming pool was also large and beautiful. We were offered a seafood buffet on the second night, even though the brochure clearly stated that the buffet was only available on Saturdays and Sundays. We were informed by the cafe that they had extended the buffet, so we booked in advance on the first day of our stay, immediately after checking in. We confirmed the availability of the buffet three times with the hotel to make sure that everything was in order. However, on Monday afternoon, the hotel cancelled the buffet themselves, citing a “miscommunication”. This was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. We had made the booking in advance and repeatedly confirmed it with the hotel, only to have the hotel cancel it at the last minute due to their own internal miscommunication."

"Hotel staff is friendly. However, the cleanliness if the rooms are questionable. The bathtub in room 206 is clogged, the rate of water flowing in is much faster than it drains resulting in a flooded shower. There was also stains on the towels and bedsheets."

"I stayed here during a long public holiday weekend in Singapore, and honestly… don’t expect too much. 😂 I specifically requested a room with two beds, but I got only one bed. I also requested a high floor, but got a low floor instead. So I guess my requests were just suggestions. 😂 The in-room Google device was another story. I tried talking to it, but it seemed to understand absolutely nothing I said. Maybe we were speaking completely different languages. 😂 In the end, I just gave up. I stayed with a friend, so there were two of us in the room. We were given 2 large towels, 1 small towel and 1 bath mat. Honestly, I have no idea what the one small towel was supposed to be for. 😂 For two people, it’s basically useless. Next time, you might as well not give us one — at least we won’t have to figure out how two people are supposed to share one tiny towel. 😂 And then came breakfast… Breakfast was extremely chaotic and crowded. The most ridiculous part was when an auntie literally took our table while my friend and I were getting food. We had already taken the table. We didn’t leave the restaurant or anything — we were literally just a few steps away getting our food. But she came over and sat at our table anyway, as if it was suddenly hers. 😂 The staff saw what happened but basically just stood there and watched. We didn’t argue with her or make a scene. We simply moved to another table because honestly, it wasn’t worth the trouble. 😂 As for the breakfast itself, it wasn’t good, but it was edible. So… I guess that’s something. 😂 Would I recommend this hotel? Only if you come with very low expectations. 😂 If you decide to stay here, I’d recommend NOT booking the room with breakfast included. Sleep in, wake up late, and go somewhere else for lunch. Honestly, you’ll probably have a better experience. Overall, not the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at, but definitely not somewhere I’d be excited to come back to. 😂"

"The hotel's location is excellent, surrounded by restaurants. Check-in and check-out were very easy. The breakfast selection at the hotel is extensive, and it changes daily, so it never gets boring. If I have the chance, I would definitely choose this hotel again."
