"Let's start with the positives: the service was quite good, with all staff members being polite and friendly. Although the location seemed a bit out of the way, it's very close to the subway, making it convenient to visit Dongqian Lake or take a taxi to several attractions. The bed was also quite comfortable. However, what was unbearable was the soundproofing. During the May Day holiday, Ningbo's municipal construction was non-stop. Cement trucks started operating at 6 AM, and we could hear the construction noise crystal clear. The 'smart' Xiao Du speaker was overly sensitive, lighting up the screen and turning on the bathroom light at the slightest movement. We didn't dare ask it to turn off the lights or screen for fear of disturbing our family's sleep. The most unbearable thing was that the shower room was directly connected to the outside. Our junior high school-aged child found it incredibly inconvenient to change clothes due to the lack of a partition. What a 'genius' designer! The toilet and shower room were also transparent. The bathroom door was broken and took forever to open. Switching between hot and cold water was impossible; it was either scalding hot or freezing cold. The facilities simply don't match the service quality. The staff, however, were all great 👍"

"Facilities: This hotel lives up to its five-star standard. It's grand and impressive, and although it's been open for years, it's very well-maintained. The front desk gave us a room on the 26th floor with a fantastic river view 👍. Hygiene: The room was very clean and tidy. Environment: The location is excellent, making it very convenient for getting around. Service: The service met five-star expectations. Overall, this stay was very comfortable and satisfying."

"The service was excellent, making us feel right at home. They offered tea during check-in and popcorn for the kids. When we returned late, they even brought us a sweet soup for the evening. The laundry service was also a great touch, allowing us to relax and enjoy our trip without worries. The room was spacious, and it even had a large window-side tatami platform – big enough that you could sleep an extra person on it if you added a blanket. It's not far from the main attractions, and you can easily walk to them. Overall, I'd still recommend it."

"This is the first time I've encountered front desk staff being so disrespectful during check-in. They were openly joking and messing around, completely ignoring whether I was speaking. It was so noisy that the woman checking me in couldn't hear me at all and had to awkwardly ask me to repeat myself over and over. I had to keep raising my voice just to be heard. The bathroom had very noticeable footprints, though the rest of the room was cleaned quite well."

"Choosing the Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Ningbo for my recent trip to Ningbo was absolutely the right decision! It definitely deserves a five-star rating! Let's start with the hardware – the rooms are spacious, the carpets are soft, making for a very comfortable stay. The bathroom, paved with white marble, feels very luxurious, and the addition of a smart toilet and a large bathtub is fantastic! Now, for the 'software' – the service – which truly deserves a special mention. I've stayed in many five-star hotels, and the service here is by far the best! When we checked in, the gentleman who assisted us was incredibly polite and well-mannered, and he even managed to upgrade our room when possible. The other staff members were seamlessly coordinated, whether it was helping with luggage storage or directing us to the elevators. Every time we left, the doormen and lobby concierges were so friendly and always waved goodbye, making us feel truly at home. The breakfast was also superb, and I even got to try the famous Ningbo tangyuan (rice balls). Ningbo is a beautiful city that left a lasting impression. When our trip ended, the hotel even arranged a car to take us to the airport. All connections were smooth and convenient. Even at checkout, the 'bellhop' proactively offered assistance, telling us to simply hand her the room card. The driver who took us to the airport was also incredibly polite! If there were a six-star rating, they would definitely earn it. Too bad I didn't take many photos!"

"In my opinion it was the best choice of the hotel in Ningbo during Spring Festival 2026. Not crowded, close to the river, the room with the perfect view to the riverside and colourful lights in the evening. Very quiet! Nice and clean interior inside. I enjoyed staying there. The service is also on high level! Special thanks to Anna! She helped me during my journey several times with different subjects and always acted very quickly and efficiently even during her free time. Highly recommend this hotel!"

"The hotel is in a great location, right in Hongtai Plaza in Ningbo's Eastern New City. It's super convenient for shopping at both Hongtai Plaza and Hankyu. In the evenings, it's also easy to find a late-night spot for drinks with friends. The hotel environment is very clean and quiet, making it suitable for families, couples, and business travelers. The breakfast is also very good. I'll definitely stay here again next time."

"This is a fantastic hotel, a well-established five-star in Ningbo. The breakfast is incredibly diverse, with lots of local Ningbo specialties, like `hui tuan` (I'm guessing this is a specific local dish, perhaps a dumpling or pastry, which might not have a direct English equivalent, so I'll leave it as is or try to describe it if more context was given). The staff are super friendly and always greet you. A special shout-out to the server in the buffet restaurant who was exceptionally kind to the children. The swimming pools are also very clean; there are two, a smaller one with warmer water and a larger one that's still a comfortable 29 degrees Celsius. However, for breakfast, some dishes were only labeled 'Chef's Recommendation' without their specific names. What exactly were those dishes?"
