Jj workI've been to dozens of Cancun all-inclusive resorts but there is no place like Temptation. We are American Asians in our late 20's and had a total blast at this place.
Vibe- high energy party vibe with sexy employees and a topless optional pool. A totally carefree and relaxed environment for couples to getaway.
Food- I read mixed reviews on food, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and options of food available! I had plenty of amazing dishes to try everyday. I loved their steak burger, octopus, shrimp cocktail, sushi and more.
Drinks- also pleasantly surprised that there were a TON of choices and quality options like Don Julio, black label and more.
Service- excellent service as you can expect from all inclusive hotels. I would give a shout-out to POLO who works the quiet pool bar. Everyone else was friendly and helpful too.
Entertainment- yes to the SHE restaurant. Have a 5 star quality meal while watching talented dancers work the stage and pole. What an experience! Everyday in the late afternoon there is a show at the pool, and they are funny AF but very naughty. The crowd loved it and were totally down.
Tips and Notes
-its a naughty place. Sensual and sexual themes, smells, vibes are pervasive. There are attractive couples of all ages, many who may be open to naughty experiences together. Of course everything is up to you and everyone is respectful. But anything goes here, as long as it's in your own room.
-tip everyone. It will enhance the workers life and enhance your service as well!
-in bash tower balcony rooms you may see couples putting on a ”show”. We wanted to see something crazy so we booked this room and sure as heck, we saw plenty of action!
-bash tower rooms give you access to the rooftop pool and hot tubs. Great for lunch and to getaway from the rowdy sexy pool.
-bash night club is always poppin. It's an outdoor Vegas style club with a huge bar, led stage and amazing nightly performances from talented dancers. Don't miss it!
-2 to 5 nights is sufficient here, or you might get partied out
-there is a timeshare type of pitch at the beginning, we didn't do it but that's up to you. You get some freebies and there's no commitment so just depends on your time.
-while there's a fair amount of younger people, the average is definitely in the 40s. I do wish there were more Asians at the resort as it skews white/Hispanic. They should make the prices on trip.com better in order to boost the Asian demographic presence. That's my only suggestion!

AAnonymous UserThis hotel is in a safe area and doesn't offer all-inclusive. I was out on tours all day, so I really only used it for sleeping.
Amenities include shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and a hairdryer. The hairdryer had great power, which was a huge plus. They provide two bottles of water daily; additional bottles cost extra, so I'd recommend heading to the supermarket for more. If you're in a hurry, you can get free water at the gym on the 4th floor.
Toothbrushes and other similar items aren't provided.
The pool is quite shallow, though I didn't actually use it.
There's a large supermarket nearby, so I'd advise using that. There's no kitchen, so self-catering isn't an option.

GGuest UserThis hotel was NOT a good choice. It was pleasantly quiet only because it only offered a place to sleep. There was nothing there except a bar and a small pool. We had to go to the adjoining hotel to eat or for any entertainment. We paid for a premier ocean front room and were told that Trip.com sold us a reservation for a room that was not available. We were put in a room overlooking the parking lot, street, and lagoon. They later moved us to another room considered “ocean view” that has a window overlooking the water. The bathroom was so small that there was no room on the tiny vanity to put anything so there was a small ladder in-the corner to put our toiletries on. There was only one lightbulb in the bathroom …in the ceiling. Even though the hotel photos showed a makeup mirror and large vanity with a shelf, we did not have either. The unlighted shower had no shelf and had a shower curtain that did not contain the water so the bathmat and floor were always wet. We had to go over to a window to have any light. There was a small useless desk in the room with no lamp or plug.
The bathrooms in the llobby or around the pool were always dirty with un flushed toilets and wet floors. Several times there was no toilet paper, except on the floor.
The food choices were very limited. We could only go to the a la carte restaurants 3 times … all other meals had to be in the buffet which was in the other hotel. The food there was always cold and worse than fast food…. Probably the worst food we’d had in Mexico in the last 20 yrs of coming here. Looked the same every day. You had to give the hostess your room number and wait to be seated. I guess they wanted to make sure you only came in one time. At one point, after the hostess seated us in the buffet area, a manager came over to our table to tell my husband that we were in the wrong place and needed to move! Not sure why that happened and we were NOT happy about the scene that was created. I found the hostess and told her what occurred . She got the manager and I asked her why she singled us out about where we were sitting. She had no explanation !
The whole experience at this hotel was unpleasant. I would NOT recommend it to anyone . There are much nicer places in Csncun with much better food and accommodations.

DDaley ZhengThis Intercontinental is really run down, so I can't recommend it based on its facilities. The sound of doors opening and closing next door or across the hall made me think someone was coming into my room. All the amenities are just so old. It's also the peak of the sargassum bloom in Cancun, and the Intercontinental hasn't been spared. Even with daily clean-ups, the beachfront is still unsightly, though the sand itself is still wonderfully fine and soft. Overall, as a non-all-inclusive hotel, I wouldn't particularly recommend it!

GGuest UserPerfectly located on the Cancun Hotel Zone strip, this resort strikes a great balance — close enough to the action if you want it, yet far enough away to truly unwind. The property itself is charming, not overly large, which makes everything easily accessible.
The pools are just the right size for activities and socializing, but the real highlight is the stunning beach — that’s where I spent most of my time. Dining options are plentiful with several restaurants to choose from (reservations are required), and the bars offer a wide variety of drinks. The café is also a must-visit.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience. This isn’t a massive, party-centric resort — it’s better suited for travelers looking to relax and enjoy the beach in a more laid-back atmosphere. If there’s one area for improvement, it would be refreshing the rooms and hallways, as they’re starting to show their age.

VVictoryariThe all-inclusive resort was quite good. The room was nice and had great views. The beach right in front was one of the most beautiful in the area and was free of sargassum (we went for a walk one day and some of the surrounding hotels had beaches covered in sargassum).
What we liked least was the limited variety of food. There are four restaurants, but the food is always the same. The buffet is quite basic; we didn't use it because we didn't like much of it. The specialty restaurants aren't bad. In our opinion, they should improve this: the Italian restaurant doesn't have pizza on its menu, and the pasta sauces are watery/Mexican, even though there's little variety in Mexico. There are no quesadillas (how can that be? We tried more Mexican food before arriving at the resort than here).
Breakfast at the Italian restaurant was delicious. And the salmon tacos at Flor de Sal are also delicious. We've had them every day!
There's an adults-only pool with good views, which is great. You're relaxed (as long as you don't have groups of drunken kids screaming around). One problem we encountered is that people reserve sun loungers early in the morning and leave their towels there without even being at the pool. On top of that, the larger ones, with sofas and umbrellas, are reserved for VIPs, and even if they're not occupied, they won't let you use them.
The staff is a 10. Very friendly and helpful. Always smiling.
The gym is quite well-equipped for a hotel.
On checkout day, they remove your all-inclusive bracelet when you leave your room, but you can stay in the hotel and enjoy the restaurants and services until 4:00 PM.

GGuest UserNYX Cancun has both good and bad points. It’s in a good location, suggests all the best facilities, staff are friendly and generally accommodating, and the rooms are well proportioned and feel good. However, all inclusive does not mean all inclusive with lots of things excluded on every menu, at the bar, On the beach, at the spa – there’s not paid upgrade everywhere so all inclusive is more just average. On the day after you arrive the team Are very pushy to take you to a 90 minute presentation to join their club. The 90% of people it won’t be the right choice, but for those who go to NYX regularly it might be useful, offer people that like the NYX type of Hotel, for others who just want to come and enjoy your vacation the presentation and pushy sales is a big turn off. There is a massive problem with availability around the pool. The pool is small for the number of rooms in the Hotel, and it’s not available all day as you would expect – the events team are constantly taking it over for Aqua aerobics, water volleyball so at the peak hours of the day you can’t actually go for a relaxing swim. Also, the lounge is around the pool of part few for the number of guests, often all being fully reserved by 7:30 am with people showing up mid morning not staying on them all day but blocking everybody else. The Hotel does have space on the beach, but all the premium spaces are saved For paid upgrades, And their exclusive paid club which is hundreds of dollars a year more. Finally, allergies with the food is dangerous – cross-contamination in the buffet and the staff don’t take it that seriously.
If you want a well located Hotel for a reasonable cost with a nice room and you’re prepared to do the sunbed fight don’t mind a presentation and love friendly staff – it’s a great place to stay. If you want midmorning availability at the pool, all inclusive to mean all inclusive, or you have dietary requirements – there are elements that may not be ideal. Not a bad Hotel, but more average than great.

GGuest UserThis was my second consecutive stay at this hotel, and unfortunately my overall impression remained the same.
The location is excellent if you want to stay in the city center, although it is quite far from the beach. The room was spacious, and the king bed was very comfortable.
However, the hotel still lacks transparency regarding additional charges. Despite booking through Trip.com and paying for the room, breakfast, VAT, and taxes, I was asked to pay an extra MXN 82.12 per night as an ”environmental tax” without being provided with a clear explanation or an official receipt. This created unnecessary confusion.
The breakfast was also disappointing. Although it was advertised as a buffet, there was no buffet available. Guests receive a very limited selection, including coffee, juice, a small fruit plate, eggs, beans, and toast, which did not meet my expectations.
The room itself was comfortable, but the issues with communication, billing transparency, and the breakfast experience meant that my second stay did not change my opinion of the hotel.
