Ningbo Hotels with Pools

After reserving, I received a courtesy call from the hotel, and we then connected on WeChat since I don’t speak Chinese. The hotel introduced me to Long, the housekeeper, who coordinated our entire stay with great care and attention. Before our arrival, they asked if we had any special requests. As my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary, I asked them to decorate the room with flowers—and they did a beautiful job. They also asked about our dinner and breakfast preferences and were impressively organized in their preparations. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon, but our taxi had trouble locating the hotel. I called Long, and he immediately came out to meet us—a huge help! When we checked in, they welcomed us with refreshments and even surprised us with a complimentary room upgrade. The room had a bathtub, which our three-year-old son especially loved. To our delight, they had thoughtfully prepared a child’s hygiene kit for him, including kid-friendly soap, shampoo, and a dental kit. We also received a handwritten note, a fresh fruit bowl, and a lovely bouquet of flowers. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, spotless, and very tastefully decorated. There’s a small indoor play area for children, including a slide, tent, and games—our son played there every day. We also enjoyed strolling around the grounds and spending time at the scenic swimming pool, which is nestled in the mountains. The food was another highlight: we had a delicious Chinese dinner and a traditional Chinese breakfast, both full of flavor. Throughout our stay, Long was incredibly helpful and made our trip truly special. Thank you, Long! I highly recommend Lost Villa. They have other locations as well, and we’re definitely looking forward to staying with them again.

Facilities: The facilities are comprehensive, the room is spacious and comfortable. I especially loved the separate small room ✌️. The gym equipment is also good, quite large and sufficient. Hygiene: The room was cleaned very well. Stepping into the room felt like coming home. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Ningbo. Environment: There's construction across the street, but it didn't affect anything at all; there was no noise. The hotel even provides earplugs, which is a nice touch. It's also conveniently located right next to Banji. Service: Miya, my apartment manager, was incredibly dedicated and responsible – thumbs up! 👍 The breakfast at this hotel is also delicious, especially the scallion oil noodles 🍜. Overall, I'd give it 5 stars.

I bought hotel vouchers for the Kaiyuan chain during a Trip.com livestream. I had vouchers for both Ningbo Jiulong Lake Kaiyuan Resort and Ningbo Shiqifang Kaiyuan Guan Tang, so I decided to visit both. Honestly, when it comes to the hotels themselves, I actually preferred Shiqifang Kaiyuan Guan Tang. It had an authentic, old-school charm, and even the breakfast was unique and delicious. My only complaint, and it's more than a complaint – I'm almost ready to file a formal complaint – is about the security guard at the entrance. Zhenhai District is already a bit out of the way in Ningbo, so most people drive or take ride-sharing services. One time, I called a ride-share to go to Shan Hai Jiulong Yuan. The guard just wouldn't open the gate, making the car reverse and try again five times, and it still didn't work. Finally, I couldn't take it anymore and asked him, ”Could you please open the gate manually for us?” It was only a two-meter distance, but it took him half a minute to walk over. Is that slow, unhurried pace the kind of attitude you should have at work? I stayed for two days and took a taxi six times, and not once was it smooth sailing. For a mere one or two meters, he was so slow and hesitant, or he'd make the car back up and try again. Such a great place with such terrible security! Sigh.

Finally, a huge thank you to Jay, who worked at the breakfast restaurant. My friend and I have special dietary requirements, and Jay went above and beyond to help us every single morning. He took the time to understand exactly what we could eat, answered all of our questions with patience, and always made sure we were taken care of. His kindness, professionalism, and genuine willingness to help made a huge difference to our stay. Thank you all for making our experience so memorable. Staying at Kaiyuan Resort at Jiulong Lake, the biggest highlight is the beautiful mountain and lake scenery. The resort grounds are spacious and the air is fresh. The rooms are well-equipped and quite comfortable. The breakfast buffet offers a good variety of options, though the taste is just average. The hotel has plenty of activities for kids, making it great for families. There was a bit of a wait during check-in on the weekend, but the overall service attitude was good. It’s perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway from the city hustle and bustle.

I recently stayed at the Cordis Ningbo Dongqian Lake for two nights, and my overall experience was really great. The hotel environment is lovely, and the surroundings are very quiet, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The scenery of Dongqian Lake is also very pleasant. During this stay, they even upgraded me to a lake view room, which had fantastic views, beautiful both during the day and in the evening – it really brightened my mood. I especially want to commend Vivi; her service during my stay was incredibly thoughtful. She was very responsive to any requests I had, and communication with her was very comfortable – she wasn't overly enthusiastic or pushy. On the day of check-out, she also helped arrange a late check-out, which was incredibly convenient for my itinerary. The entire check-in process was very smooth, and everything from the room type to the service details added to a wonderful experience. Overall, I was very satisfied with my two-night stay; the environment, room, and service were all excellent. It's a hotel I would definitely recommend to friends. If I ever come back to Dongqian Lake in the future, I'll likely choose to stay here again.

Our stay at the Crowne Plaza Xiangshan was very comfortable overall, everything from the environment and service to the dining made us feel relaxed. The hotel's environment is excellent, especially the swimming pool. It's spacious and the whole atmosphere is very comfortable, perfect for a family vacation. The dining also exceeded expectations, with a rich selection of dishes and good flavors. There's basically no need to go out looking for food. Overall, it's a hotel very suitable for families or those with children, where you can slow down and truly enjoy the hotel's facilities and services. Our experience this time was great, and we'll definitely come back if we have the chance!

This hotel is nestled deep in the mountains, reached by winding roads. The natural forest environment is simply breathtaking – the air is fresh, and the trees, flowers, and insects all live in perfect harmony. The rooms are uniquely built into the mountainside. They're a bit on the smaller side and show some signs of age. Due to the high temperatures, it was incredibly hot when we checked in during the afternoon, and the small loft in the room felt like a sauna. However, it became quite comfortable once the temperature dropped in the evening. Waking up to the picturesque scenery and pleasant temperatures was lovely. I imagine spring and autumn would be even more ideal times to visit. The hotel has an outdoor pool, but it was too sunny to enjoy properly. A big shout-out to the butler, who was a definite plus – so warm, patient, and attentive. We had dinner at the hotel, which you need to book a day in advance. The food was decent, nothing spectacular but perfectly fine. Breakfast is served individually, with each person getting a portion of various main dishes. It was enough to eat and avoided any waste. There's a gentle rafting spot not far from the hotel, but we didn't have time to try it. We also found a stream for溯溪 (stream trekking) about 30 minutes away by car. The hotel's location is a bit remote, so exploring nearby attractions or finding other dining options is inconvenient. It's a good idea to bring some snacks or food with you. The hotel could consider developing more activities to attract additional guests. Another bonus: it's pet-friendly!

The hotel's interior is beautiful, perfect for photos on a sunny day. The in-room amenities are high-end, like a Dyson hairdryer and LELABO skincare products. The bed was also very comfortable. We stayed in a newly renovated room with a large terrace overlooking the inner courtyard. The travel photographer and butler both requested a positive review, so I'm giving five stars, but I still want to provide an objective assessment. I believe the core issue with the hotel's many negative reviews lies in the details. For example, there were only facial tissues available at the vanity, which was quite inconvenient. The TV couldn't cast, and the bathroom lacked an exhaust fan. When I requested two bath sachets, only one was provided (though they did send another when asked). At the restaurant, when I was packing a breakfast to go, one staff member offered me cutlery and perhaps an extra napkin. Another staff member immediately interjected, saying ”just a pair of chopsticks is fine, no need for these.” I felt really awkward being there. The service is good, but you consistently get a subtle feeling of pettiness. While it's good for staff to be economical, they should also consider the guests' experience. I hope this objective review helps future guests and encourages the hotel to improve its details for a more comfortable stay.

The family room is a two-bedroom apartment with a living room, and both bedrooms have TVs, which is very convenient. However, our room faced the road, not the Sanjiang River. I'm not sure if there are also parent-child rooms on the opposite side. The soundproofing is excellent, and we slept well. The room decor has an old-money style. The front desk service was very responsive and friendly. The parking lot is a bit old. The location is convenient; you can walk to Tianyi Square. The popular shops like Jimau Duitang and A Mao Restaurant are also within walking distance, and the food is quite good. It's easy to rent an electric scooter downstairs, and you can ride to the Old Bund, which is also not far if you prefer to walk.
