Ningbo Hotels with Pools

After reserving, I received a courtesy call from the hotel, and we then connected on WeChat since I don’t speak Chinese. The hotel introduced me to Long, the housekeeper, who coordinated our entire stay with great care and attention. Before our arrival, they asked if we had any special requests. As my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary, I asked them to decorate the room with flowers—and they did a beautiful job. They also asked about our dinner and breakfast preferences and were impressively organized in their preparations. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon, but our taxi had trouble locating the hotel. I called Long, and he immediately came out to meet us—a huge help! When we checked in, they welcomed us with refreshments and even surprised us with a complimentary room upgrade. The room had a bathtub, which our three-year-old son especially loved. To our delight, they had thoughtfully prepared a child’s hygiene kit for him, including kid-friendly soap, shampoo, and a dental kit. We also received a handwritten note, a fresh fruit bowl, and a lovely bouquet of flowers. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, spotless, and very tastefully decorated. There’s a small indoor play area for children, including a slide, tent, and games—our son played there every day. We also enjoyed strolling around the grounds and spending time at the scenic swimming pool, which is nestled in the mountains. The food was another highlight: we had a delicious Chinese dinner and a traditional Chinese breakfast, both full of flavor. Throughout our stay, Long was incredibly helpful and made our trip truly special. Thank you, Long! I highly recommend Lost Villa. They have other locations as well, and we’re definitely looking forward to staying with them again.

I bought hotel vouchers for the Kaiyuan chain during a Trip.com livestream. I had vouchers for both Ningbo Jiulong Lake Kaiyuan Resort and Ningbo Shiqifang Kaiyuan Guan Tang, so I decided to visit both. Honestly, when it comes to the hotels themselves, I actually preferred Shiqifang Kaiyuan Guan Tang. It had an authentic, old-school charm, and even the breakfast was unique and delicious. My only complaint, and it's more than a complaint – I'm almost ready to file a formal complaint – is about the security guard at the entrance. Zhenhai District is already a bit out of the way in Ningbo, so most people drive or take ride-sharing services. One time, I called a ride-share to go to Shan Hai Jiulong Yuan. The guard just wouldn't open the gate, making the car reverse and try again five times, and it still didn't work. Finally, I couldn't take it anymore and asked him, ”Could you please open the gate manually for us?” It was only a two-meter distance, but it took him half a minute to walk over. Is that slow, unhurried pace the kind of attitude you should have at work? I stayed for two days and took a taxi six times, and not once was it smooth sailing. For a mere one or two meters, he was so slow and hesitant, or he'd make the car back up and try again. Such a great place with such terrible security! Sigh.

Overall, it was a fairly satisfactory stay. The hotel has an indoor kids' play area, an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, and even animal feeding, which gave the kids plenty to do during the hot summer days. The service was also quite good. I usually wipe down hotel rooms again, and this one was pretty clean. However, in the dining area, twice we encountered staff who cleared dishes but didn't wipe the table. We had to call them over, and even then, it took a while for them to come. The soundproofing was a bit poor. On the first night, I was in bed ready to sleep around 10 PM, but there were constant footsteps and chair-moving noises from upstairs until nearly midnight. The second night was fine, so I guess it depends on the guests upstairs. Staying here also grants access to Zheng Shiqifang with the room card. It's about a 10-15 minute drive, but we only stayed for about 10-15 minutes because it was just too hot that day.

Service: During our stay, what impressed me most was the staff's attitude. Everyone was so friendly and polite, truly living up to the standards of a family-friendly hotel. They were great with the kids. When we went swimming, my daughter forgot her goggles, and one of the hotel staff members even offered to watch my kids for me while complimenting them on their swimming. Haha, they really brightened our day! A big thank you to our butler, Kenvin, for his dedicated care, which made our short vacation so enjoyable! Environment: The hotel's location is super convenient, just a few minutes from the art museum and Hanling Old Street. However, the hotel itself is so great you could easily spend a whole day here, perfect for families who prefer not to rush around. As soon as we checked in yesterday, we headed straight to the pool, then spent quite a while in the relaxation pool, which was exactly what I needed after a hike. A minor note: some of the massage jets seemed to be broken; it would be even better if they were fixed! The breakfast selection was extensive, and we even had a golden beetle 'fly in' (no idea how it got there!) and a group of adorable ducklings joining us, making the kids' breakfast absolutely delightful. The environment is just fantastic, haha 😂 Facilities: Our room had a balcony with a beautiful lake view, which was incredibly comfortable! The wardrobe door made a loud scraping sound against the floor, probably due to long-term use. It would be great if that could be repaired! Finally, nothing in this world is perfect, but I believe sincerity and kindness are what matter most. Thank you to all the hotel staff for giving us such a warm service experience.

True to its reputation as a five-star landmark in Ningbo, the Nanyuan Universal Hotel boasts excellent facilities. The rooms are spacious and quiet, with outstanding soundproofing. Smart curtains and a well-equipped work desk cater perfectly to business travelers. They even thoughtfully recommend local eateries and travel routes. The service is impeccable, striking the perfect balance and truly delivering that high-end 'home away from home' feeling. My stay was absolutely flawless!

Nestled in a bamboo-ringed mountain hollow, Xikou Manxiugu B&B ingeniously tucks each forest villa into the hillside, creating a unique and secluded haven. Staying in these hollow villas, you can enjoy snow in winter, mist in spring, cicadas in summer, and autumn leaves, truly embracing the wild. You can imagine yourself as a free bird in the forest or an uninhibited 'wildling' from ancient times, far from the hustle and bustle. Wake up to the morning sun, watch the sunset in the evening, sip tea leisurely, enjoy a glass of wine at night, listen to the rain on the leaves, chat with friends, find romance with a loved one, or simply gaze at the starry sky. It’s simply delightful! I come back every other year for a few days; I arrive feeling weary and leave feeling completely refreshed. The villas at Manxiugu are diverse in style and shape – from two-story Gothic-inspired spires to charming Baroque wooden cabins. Each room has a pleasant woody fragrance that ensures a peaceful night's sleep. On hot days, you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the clear infinity pool. And the chef's culinary skills are truly exceptional – the food is delicious, not greasy, and incredibly appetizing, all at a reasonable price, so there's no need to dine out. The service philosophy is guest-first, with every request met and every detail handled until you're completely satisfied. I especially want to thank Miss Xiaoyu, who thoughtfully carried our bags and helped us, who aren't so young anymore, settle in comfortably. My detailed rambling is simply because my stay was so comfortable and satisfying, so I highly recommend everyone give it a try!

It might have been peak season, as there were a lot of people, and I had to queue for check-in. The front desk offered welcome fruits. The hotel has three buildings: Haiyue Tower and Haixin Tower. The front desk didn't explain this clearly, just handed over the room card with basically no introduction. I had to figure out the hotel facilities on my own, and ended up in the wrong building, dragging my luggage and taking the wrong elevator. It's clear that the hotel was once a luxury establishment, with excellent facilities and design. Unfortunately, the facilities are now old, and the management isn't keeping up. The room was spacious, and the bed was very comfortable, neither too soft nor too hard. The air conditioning worked well, cooling evenly without making it too cold; there was also a choice of pillows. Overall, the room stay was pleasant. I booked this hotel for its infinity pool, but it turned out to be a disaster zone. The changing rooms were barely cleaned, with water on the floor making it easy to slip, so I had to be very careful. I went to the infinity pool later in the evening when there were fewer people. The water temperature was 32 degrees Celsius, turning it into more of a hot spring. The main issue was that the pool and water were quite dirty. It closed at 8:30 PM. The breakfast suited the tastes of the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai regions, with many local specialties. There were plenty of staff, but also a lot of guests. No one seated us, and there was no need to flip a 'reserved' sign. On the first day, at the table next to us, two girls, about 12-13 years old, brought food bags and directly emptied a whole plate of cakes, bread, and fruits into them. They were well-trained and acted as if it was perfectly normal, without any discomfort. On the second morning, at the adjacent table were two young mothers, around 30, each with a 4-5-year-old child. One mother had a picnic bag filled with various food containers. After breakfast, she left with a fully packed picnic bag, which completely astonished me. Upon checkout, the front desk gave a small gift, which was a thoughtful touch. I had dinner twice at the hotel's Cape No. 1 restaurant, and the seafood was fresh and delicious. It was a bit disappointing that swimming in the sea was not allowed.

Staying at the Marriott in Ningbo was a great choice for my trip. The high-ceilinged lobby immediately sets a wonderful atmosphere, but what really stood out was the incredibly warm service from Ayla at the front desk. Her check-in process wasn't rushed or robotic; she spoke softly and attentively, even kindly recommending a great spot to catch the beautiful Three Rivers night view in the evening. The whole check-in was seamless, and every detail showed genuine care. It added a comforting warmth to my journey. Overall, a fantastic stay!

Before coming here, I saw quite a few negative reviews about the Park Hyatt Ningbo on Xiaohongshu (a Chinese social media platform), and I was honestly a bit nervous. But after staying for two days, I have to say – you really can't trust all the online reviews; experiencing it yourself is key! This hotel is simply excellent! I was impressed from the moment we got out of the car. The bellboy was incredibly quick; as soon as our car stopped, he jogged over, promptly opened the door, greeted us warmly, and efficiently helped us carry all our luggage to the room. He was smiling the whole time, and that genuine service instantly put us at ease. Check-in at the front desk was also seamless. All the staff members were smiling and patiently introduced us to the hotel's facilities. Knowing we had a child, they thoughtfully recommended family-friendly routes. What touched me the most was the housekeeper on our floor; she knew our child drank a lot of water, so every day when cleaning the room, she would proactively replenish several extra bottles of mineral water. This kind of thoughtful attention felt genuinely warm, like family. And the breakfast? Simply outstanding. The variety was super rich, with authentic Ningbo specialties like Mianjie Tangmian (noodle knot soup) and handmade Tangyuan (glutinous rice balls). Both Chinese and Western pastries were abundant. Our whole family was incredibly satisfied. Let's talk about the environment. The entire hotel is transformed from an ancient village, with a Chinese garden where every step reveals a beautiful scene. The lake view facing Dongqian Lake is breathtakingly beautiful; every casual photo looks like a masterpiece. The Qianhu Fishing Port restaurant inside is also a Black Pearl restaurant (a prestigious Chinese dining guide), with both taste and service being excellent. After staying here for two days, from the concierge to the front desk, to the housekeeping, to the restaurant, every staff member was warm and attentive, completely unlike what some online reviews claimed. So, I really urge everyone not to be swayed by those one-sided reviews. Come and stay once, and you'll know how good it is. The next time I come to Ningbo, I will definitely choose this place again. Five-star highly recommended!

The family room is a two-bedroom apartment with a living room, and both bedrooms have TVs, which is very convenient. However, our room faced the road, not the Sanjiang River. I'm not sure if there are also parent-child rooms on the opposite side. The soundproofing is excellent, and we slept well. The room decor has an old-money style. The front desk service was very responsive and friendly. The parking lot is a bit old. The location is convenient; you can walk to Tianyi Square. The popular shops like Jimau Duitang and A Mao Restaurant are also within walking distance, and the food is quite good. It's easy to rent an electric scooter downstairs, and you can ride to the Old Bund, which is also not far if you prefer to walk.
