"We had a perfect stay at Pan Pacific Suzhou! The suite was incredibly spacious and comfortable, consisting of two connected rooms. One room featured a king-size bed, a large living room, and a luxurious bathroom with a huge bathtub. The second room had two single beds, which was perfect for our two adult children. The layout was very thoughtful, with two separate bathrooms and toilets, plus an additional guest toilet in the living room. With four of us staying together, we never had to wait for the bathroom — a huge convenience! The hotel grounds are absolutely stunning, featuring beautiful gardens, traditional architecture, and a pagoda, making it feel like a scenic attraction in itself. As a special bonus, the hotel provided a complimentary 60-minute Hanfu experience, allowing us to take wonderful photos around the property. Honestly, the hotel is so beautiful that you could easily spend a day exploring the grounds without leaving. Another thoughtful touch was that each room was provided with an entire carton of bottled mineral water, which was greatly appreciated. Overall, an exceptional stay with spacious accommodations, beautiful surroundings, and excellent hospitality. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Suzhou!"

The Scholars Hotel Suzhou Pingjiangfu (Shuxiangshijia Huisuojiudian Suzhou Pingjiangfudian) is located in the heart of Suzhou old town and handy for visiting the many local attractions and classical Chinese gardens found there. An attractive hotel, it features traditional Chinese-style architecture, courtyards featuring pools of water and sculptured rock. Guestrooms boast contemporary furnishings with traditional touches and all the usual amenities required for a comfortable stay.

"Just a few minutes' walk from Pingjiang Road and the Humble Administrator's Garden, this hotel offers a quiet retreat right in the heart of Suzhou. There are supermarkets and eateries nearby, and delivery services can reach the hotel. The hotel itself boasts a beautiful Jiangnan-style garden with a water feature, and the pavilions and rockeries look absolutely stunning when lit up at night – perfect for photos! The 'Tianyi Tower' room type I stayed in this time was excellent. The central garden with its water features is incredibly beautiful; during the day, koi fish swim gracefully, and at night, the stone lanterns reflect on the water. Every photo you take here captures that classic Chinese aesthetic, echoing the Ming Dynasty Northern Half Garden's charm, with every step revealing a new picturesque view. The guest rooms feature a new Chinese elegant style. The twin room was spacious, and the magnolia embroidery on the headboard added a lovely touch of Suzhou charm. The bathroom was very well-designed with fluted glass and a circular mirror, and the wet/dry separation was excellent. They even provide Bvlgari White Tea toiletries! The cool, sophisticated white tea scent was absolutely captivating; after showering, the entire room had a subtle tea fragrance, truly showing attention to detail. My only minor gripe was that the water pressure in the shower was a bit low, but otherwise, everything was perfect. The breakfast was authentic and culturally rich. This is definitely a garden-experience hotel you must stay at when visiting Suzhou."

Hotel near Shiquan Street/Pan Gate Scenic Area,Suzhou
The Garden Hotel Suzhou (Nanyuan Binguan) was once the private garden of Mr. Jiang Jie Shi. Starting from 1952, the Suzhou Garden Hotel was appointed the residence for state guests by the Suzhou Government, serving hundreds of national leaders. The hotel underwent an RMB 2.6 billion renovation in 2005. This Suzhou hotel is within a stone's throw from world cultural heritage sites like the Master-of-Nets Garden and the Canglang Pavilion. The hotel is the largest Chinese garden style hotel in the city center, from which guests may conveniently access the Suzhou train station and bus station.Chinese cuisine and Western cuisine are available on-site, along with room service and a coffee shop. The hotel also has a bar where guests can socialize over a drink. This Suzhou hotel hosts a large ballroom, two reception rooms and three function rooms. It is an ideal place for weddings, meetings, exhibitions and other functions. Guests can relax buy getting a massage, using the steamy sauna, working out by using the fitness facilities or playing a game of tennis.

"I stayed at the Nanfang Hotel's Building 8, 'Yingjie,' in Suzhou over the weekend. It was just renovated late last year with a new 'Neo-Chinese' decor. As you enter, to your left is a long, open wardrobe and a luggage rack, which were very convenient. Then there's a separate wet and dry vanity area and a bathtub, with a sliding glass door separating the room from the washroom. The room itself was quite spacious, with a round table and a sofa by the window. Outside, lush rockeries and greenery provided a refreshing view, and being able to open the window for ventilation was especially pleasant this time of year. The toiletries were L'Occitane, and there was even a Pantene hair essence capsule with the hairdryer. As for the bedding, the mattress was on the firmer side, so comfort will vary for different people. What was hard to understand were some of the renovation details. The grout lines in the tiles were sloppily done, a clear departure from what you'd expect in a five-star hotel. This was even more noticeable under the sink drain. I'd suggest the hotel add a trash can there; it would both hide the flaw and be convenient for women to discard small items when using the sink. The breakfast overall was good. I recommend the 'red soup noodles with braised pork,' which had an authentic flavor. The fresh pork pan-fried buns were also surprisingly delicious – slightly sweet and very juicy. The hotel's location truly lives up to its five-star reputation. Situated on Shiquan Street, it's incredibly convenient for getting around. Wangshi Garden is right across from the hotel entrance on Chengqiao Road, so you can visit early to avoid the crowds. Plus, many popular eateries on Shiquan Street don't have queues before noon. The surrounding streets like Fenghuang Street, Wuqueqiao Street, Cuku Alley, Chaiyuan, and the small alleys behind Shiquan Street are also perfect for a city walk. Shiquan Street is bustling, but as soon as you enter the hotel, it becomes wonderfully quiet. If you're tired from exploring, you can return to the hotel to stroll around Jiang Weiguo's former residence or other ancient buildings and rock gardens, and enjoy the peaceful, serene atmosphere. If you want to explore the urban area of Suzhou in a short time, Nanfang Hotel is a five-star recommendation."

"The hotel is right opposite Guanqian Street, so the location is excellent and super convenient for shopping. I appreciate that you don't need a key card to get electricity, which is a thoughtful touch. The hotel feels quite new and is clean. Our family room was spacious and bright. However, it was quite noisy facing the street, and the soundproofing of the room door wasn't great. Being close to the elevator, there was constant noise from people passing by in the hallway, especially since we had to use our key card to go up to our room ourselves and weren't escorted. It was hard to find, and people would often linger and talk right outside our door, which woke us up throughout the night. The breakfast offered a wide variety and tasted good. There's also a late-night snack service, and if you order takeout, a robot delivers it to your door. Overall, it was okay, but on Sunday afternoon, there were many people smoking in the hotel lobby. As soon as you stepped out of the elevator, it reeked of smoke, and no one seemed to be doing anything about it, which was very unpleasant. I might consider staying here again if I'm traveling alone or with just one other person, but I definitely wouldn't choose it for a family trip again."

"Tucked away in an alley off Baita West Road, this hotel is within walking distance to Pingjiang Road, making it super convenient for sightseeing, taking photos, boat rides, dining, and shopping. It's a newly renovated chain hotel, transformed from a traditional Suzhou private residence, giving it a unique character. It's quiet, with double-glazed windows for soundproofing, and even a small terrace. There are two floors with over a dozen rooms, offering various sizes. Each room comes with a giant screen projector and a complimentary membership for movies, liquid diffusers, and it's a great spot for a BBQ and beer movie night, or a romantic mini-getaway. I really appreciate LBED's designer; they're so thoughtful. Each time they renovate a Suzhou private residence, they manage to highlight its unique features and refurbish it for excellent value for money. Anything you need, you can reach out to the front desk or the butler via WeChat. The movie membership is free, which is very convenient, and food delivery can come straight to your room. The location is great. The design is truly the soul of this place, highly recommend! 👍"

"I brought my family here for a birthday celebration. The hotel arranged a birthday setup and gave us a small cake, which was delicious! **Appearance:** The cruise ship design is quite unique, and right across from it is the Gate of the Orient. It's lovely to take a stroll on the boardwalk in the evening. **Interior:** The hotel is a bit older, so some rooms might have a slight odor, but the staff promptly addressed it, which was decent. The sanitation facilities were clean. **Service:** The staff, including those in the breakfast restaurant, Zhenlu Yi Hotpot, and the doormen, were all incredibly warm and polite. (The coffee bar staff, however, were a bit lacking.) **Breakfast:** It's a mix of Chinese and Western options. While the variety isn't huge, everything tasted great, especially the Suzhou-style Aozao noodles! They were so good I had two bowls! There wasn't much fruit though. **Toiletries:** They use BORGESE products, with an orange scent, which was very pleasant."
