I donât think I could ever give this hotel enough praise. The rooms were beautiful as was the location and scenery. Cleanliness was a 10 out of 10, but what especially amazed me was how friendly and diligent the staff were. They were so kind, offering me free fruit and other snacks. One staff member gave me restaurant recommendations. I plan on staying here again in the future and would recommend it to any solo travelers or couples looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway. ďżź

Guest UserThe hotel is conveniently located close to the dock. The hotel includes breakfast and can provide lunch and dinner. All dishes are made from local production. The dishes are good. The host and the staff are all very accommodating and try their best to help and are always available. The hotel was fully refurbished when we came. It was clean, well furnished and well maintained. The cost appeared reasonable even during the national holiday. We chose a room with a balcony. The terrasse adds a lot of convenience and is really enjoyable. We used it often. We did spend a pleasant time there. An important reminder comes as the hotel is close, maybe one of the closest to the dock. Therefore the activity around the hotel is intense, starts early and finishes late. This can affect light sleepers and is reinforced by the fact that the island is a heaven of silence.
The island is perfect to reconnect to the nature, the slowness of life. We did appreciate our time walking around the island, visiting every small street and enjoying the pleasant view. People are very nice, organisation in the island is good and provides all the necessities. A good place for one or few days stay with or without children.

eeningHad a really enjoyable stay at Mulan Huayue Hotel during our visit to Zhouzhuang Ancient Town.
The service was exceptional from start to finis. When we arrived, the staff came to pick us up from the admission gate and helped carry our luggage to the hotel, which was especially helpful since the old town streets can be a bit tricky with bags.
We arrived before check-in time, and since the rooms were ready, the owner let us look at the available rooms and choose the one we preferred based on the view. It was a small gesture, but it made us feel very welcome.
The location is also excellent. Since the hotel is located inside the ancient town itself, we could simply step outside and start exploring the canals, bridges, and old streets without needing any additional transport. It was especially nice to wander around early in the morning and at night when there were fewer crowds.
The hotel also has two super cute cats that were always hanging around and made the place feel even more homely.
We tried the hotel's restaurant and were impressed by the food. Our favorite dish was the é
¸ččä¸çčŚčć š, which was delicious and something we hadn't tried before. The food was slightly on the salty side for our taste, but overall we enjoyed everything we ordered.
When it was time to head to our next hotel in Suzhou, the owner helped arrange a car for us (150 RMB). The driver was very knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting information along the way, which made the journey much more enjoyable.
Another thing I appreciated was how attentive the owner was. When we ran out of drinking water, she personally brought three more bottles to our room without us having to ask multiple times.
Overall, this was one of those places where you can really feel the warmth and hospitality of the owner. It made our stay in Zhouzhuang much more memorable, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Guest UserThis guesthouse is really great! It has its own unique charm, the surroundings are beautiful, and it's super clean and tidy. A shuttle picked us up right at the parking lot, and it's only about a hundred meters from the scenic area entrance, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The guesthouse also has its own restaurant, and the dishes are exquisitely prepared and taste amazing. Highly, highly recommend! đđđ

Guest UserThe Kimpton Bamboo Grove Suzhou is absolutely the pinnacle of atmospheric getaways in Suzhou, truly a hidden gem of a garden hotel! Friends who love the ancient charm of Jiangnan and a relaxed vacation vibe will fall deeply in love with this place. The location is truly irreplaceable; nestled in the heart of the ancient city, adjacent to the Master of the Nets Garden and Canglang Pavilion, you step right out into the bustling streets and alleys of old Suzhou. It's within walking distance to commercial areas, offering tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle. You can easily explore ancient streets and visit gardens, yet still enjoy peace and quiet within the hotel â the location is simply superb.
The room experience is incredibly refined and comfortable. The room types are bright and airy with excellent natural light, and the courtyard rooms come with a private small courtyard, allowing you to admire the Suzhou garden scenery right from your bed. The in-room amenities are high-end and complete, featuring branded toiletries and exceptionally high-quality bedding that is soft against the skin and provides comfortable support, ensuring a particularly peaceful night's rest. The independent bathroom is well-designed with thoughtful details, and the mini-bar is fully equipped and convenient to use. Overall, it feels both homey and luxurious, with every detail exuding quality.
What's most heartwarming is the hotel's butler service, which is attentive, meticulous, and responsive throughout. They communicated needs in advance before check-in and were on call during our stay, carefully attending to every aspect from travel and daily routines to replenishing supplies. Their service was gentle yet discreet â special thanks to Ambo! The hotel lobby also features an adorable Golden Retriever named 'Little Sister Jin,' who is incredibly therapeutic. The open and relaxed atmosphere, combined with subtle hints of everyday life, breaks away from the monotonous business hotel model, preserving the unique gentle charm of Jiangnan. It's a niche, luxurious, and highly recommendable place for repeat stays!

CalabresepepperThis little traditional inn was absolutely delightful 1 night stay and the host family could not have been more kind and helpful. The owner helped us get our bags to and from the inn as everything in this area is pedestrianised and no vehicle is available for transporting luggage. You must register for entrance into the historical zone at the main office before you try to enter the security gates by showing your ID as is the case with all things in China. Don't let this put you off. Smoking indoors is common so ask for smoke free treatment. Highly recommended.

Guest Userđ Environment:
Clean and tidy, with an overall Suzhou garden style decor. Located within the Jiangnan Weaving Museum complex, it offers a peaceful retreat amidst the bustle. For weekend trips, I'd advise against bringing too much luggage đ, as Shantang Street can get crowded and the cobblestone paths are hard to navigate. It's a 500-meter walk from Exit 3 of Shantang Street Station on Metro Line 2 মŕ§ŕŚŕ§ŕڰŕ§.
đ Dining:
The hotel only offers breakfast, which includes Suzhou-style red soup noodles and small side dishes â quite exquisite.
đ¨ Room:
The family suite has a small living room perfect for tea. When we booked, they even provided fish food, as the hotel garden has a small canal where you can feed fish.
There's a bathtub with disposable tub liners and bath powder.
The toilet, shower, and vanity areas are all separate, ensuring privacy for everyone.
The front desk lady was super helpful and provided great travel recommendations. You can also store your luggage after check-out.
The complimentary travel photoshoot is perfect for family photoshoots, especially for families traveling with children~

Stanley The Travel ManI arrived in pouring rain. I thought I could walk to my hotel but it was impossible in the downpour. I didnât want to bother any hotel owner.  I didnât and still donât  have an eSIM that can make local  call but thanks to Trip.com, there is a link that I could call the owner for free.  I didnât advise the owners my arrival time so they were off running errands.  I called the owner to pick me up and thankfully he answered. He was busy but gracious enough to turn around and picked me up. It knew Zhouhuang requires a ticket but I didnât know that no cars, nor motorcycles, nor bicycles are allowed. Without him I would have arrived the hotel easily.Â
I always like to meet the owners instead of employees . They were very helpful and answered all my questions. They are honest people who dedicate their  blood and sweat to their business. The owner even offered to walk me to the bus stop  to Suzhou which was my next destination.Â
This  operates two hotels with 9 in one and 6 in the other. The one that I stayed in with 9 rooms is in a  lively and busy area . Just outside the hotel is a restaurant and there are plenty of places to eat. Inside the hotel is a peaceful oasis where you wonât hear any noise. The location is the best. The other hotel is in a quieter neighborhood a few minutes away. Each of the 15 rooms has itâs own personality, is different and has its distinctive decoration. The owners said they decorated them themselves. I love the decoration and especially the lighting.Â
After you reserve a room, be sure to contact the owner for the exact address in case you want to arrive on your own. I think it is best to request the owner to take you there because he/she will lead you to the ticket booth to buy tickets. There are a number of bridges so heavy big luggages can be a bit of a challenge . Â If you arrive after 5 pm, you can enter free of charge as no one is there to check your ticket. . But once you are inside, and if you choose to leave the area after 8 or 9 am until 5 pm, you have to pay to come back in. You can buy a one day or in my case 3 days pass. Â Do check with the owner for up to date information.Â
The room was quite clean. There were hot water all the time. There were other guests during my stay but they were not noisy at all. I barely heard them. I slept very well during my 3 nights there.Â
Zhouhuang is really beautiful. There are many canals, bridges, boat rides, good food of all kinds. I had some of the best meals there. In fact , I ate in the same restaurant that serves dumpling twice. One night I had grill (BBQ) meat just outside the entrance for 4 yuans. .  There is decent size supermarket just outside the turnstile and not too far away is a much bigger supermarket. It was there where I bought half a Peking duck for only 32 yuans . The seller sliced the meat and separated the meat from  the bones. The bones he fried so it was crunchy.  It was delicious. There is a theater that offers performances.
The night view is great. If you step out your room, you will be overwhelmed in a good sense by the exciting surroundings.Â
This hotel definitely is one of the best that I have ever stayed in. Look at the beautiful pictures and find one that you like.Â
I stayed only 3 nights and one of those days I went to Tongli. In my opinion, one should spend at least 2 to 3 full days in  Zhouhuang (and especially this hotel ) savor the ambience. I donât think Tongli is worth the time because it was twice as expensive and there are not that many canals and boat rides. It is much quieter and has fewer things to see. . The worst is that the sightseeing places require you to show your ticket. After 2 places, I lost mine ticket and I  couldnât get in the rest of the places. It is unnecessary to require proof of entrance because you canât enter the area without a ticket.Â

Our stay at this Suzhou apartment was nothing short of perfect! As first-time visitors, we were blown away by the incredible value. The location is great, just a quick 5-minute walk from the MRT, which made exploring the entire city effortless.
The apartment itself was exactly as described: spotlessly clean, surprisingly spacious, and equipped with everything we needed. The highlight for us was the big projector screen; winding down each night with Chinese dramas was a unique and fun experience. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was also a huge convenience, allowing us to pack light.
The true standout was our host. She was exceptionally helpful, providing a personal recommendations. Their tips truly made our trip special.
We felt so at home and will 100% be recommending this gem to all our friends. Donât hesitateâbook this place for a seamless and memorable Suzhou adventure
