The room's details were impeccable: Aesop toiletries, a Wenxian turndown fragrance, a handwritten welcome note, a complimentary minibar, and even a different set of Gulangyu poems on gold-flecked paper by the bedside each day. The turndown service drew the curtains, lit the aromatherapy, and even prepared a meditation chair—truly taking ”natural healing” to the extreme.

The swimming pool and gym were also of a considerable size, and the environment was very clean. In terms of the room, the wet and dry areas were well-separated. What impressed me the most was the housekeeping staff. They truly embodied the concept of 'anticipatory service.' They noticed my preference for tea and thoughtfully provided extra bottles of mineral water for me to brew tea. Even simple things, like tissues, were pre-folded before being given to guests. These little details speak volumes and demonstrate how thorough and professional their staff training is. Finally, a special thanks to Amber from guest services. This is a very good hotel. It is right next to the shopping mall, so restaurants and coffee shops are everywhere. We really appreciated the friendly front desk staff getting us an upgraded room. It is spacious, cleaned, comfortable, and fully stocked with everything we need. We love their long and cleaned pool. It’s perfect for lap swimmers.
