"The river view room with the bathtub exceeded all my expectations! Soaking in the tub by the window with a prime view of the river, watching the sunset in the evening, and bathing amidst the city lights at night – the ambiance was simply incredible. The room gets plenty of natural light and is well soundproofed, ensuring a peaceful rest after a day of exploring. The location is superb, making it easy to get around and find places to eat. It's also incredibly photogenic! I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Chongqing."

"The room was clean and tidy, with excellent natural light. In the mornings, the sunlight streaming through the white sheer curtains made the room feel warm and inviting; I just wanted to lie in bed. The bedding felt like high-thread-count material, very comfortable to sleep on. Sitting on the sofa, with the air conditioning on and the sunlight coming in, it made me want to nap, but I couldn't bear to miss the beautiful view outside the window. It really cleared away my recent fatigue. If you're visiting Chongqing, I highly, highly recommend this YASHAN Hotel."

"I chose to stay at the Kempinski Hotel Chongqing for a weekend. The hotel is located next to the Nanping Exhibition Center. This time, I booked a suite with executive lounge access, which allowed me to enjoy afternoon tea and dinner at Jiulang. It was quite good. I picked a corner suite with a direct river view, and the view was fantastic. Aside from the facilities being a bit dated, it was really nice. I love swimming, and I swam twice. It's a great option to relax at the hotel and not venture too far."

Chongqing Sushan 1946

9.9/10
Perfect

I chose Shushan 1946 for my trip to Chongqing, and the entire stay far exceeded my expectations. As soon as I confirmed my booking, a dedicated concierge proactively sent detailed instructions, clearly explaining the uphill routes of the mountain city and providing helpful travel tips. The hotel is nestled amidst a cluster of old Republican-era villas halfway up the mountain, very close to Jiefangbei and Hongyadong. It's just a stone's throw from the bustling city, yet remarkably quiet within the courtyard, truly achieving tranquility amidst the noise. What was most heartwarming was the constant thoughtful 'feeding': fresh welcome fruit upon arrival, a complimentary exquisite afternoon tea, and a perfectly balanced sweet soup at bedtime. Breakfast offered both local Chongqing specialties like noodles and wontons, alongside refined Western dishes. The variety was rich, and the ingredients were high-quality. Even if you slept in, there was still plenty of time for a leisurely meal. The staff handled everything with perfect discretion; they weren't intrusive but were incredibly prompt in responding to any requests. The old house exudes an amazing atmosphere, and the courtyard and terrace offer expansive views. Sitting there, enjoying the breeze and admiring the river view, was incredibly relaxing. Whether for a short getaway or to experience the old charm of the mountain city, this place is definitely a worthwhile choice!

Ronghui Hot Spring Resort

9.8/10
Perfect

Facilities: The hotel facilities are excellent, and the rooms are well-equipped, primarily focusing on hot springs. The water quality is very good, and you can adjust the hot spring temperature yourself. You can soak 24 hours a day, and privacy is also good. After soaking, you can also enjoy a massage or spa. Hygiene: Everything was very clean. The villa renovation was well done. Environment: The overall hotel environment is great, with duplex rooms. The surrounding area has complete amenities and is a small commercial district, so delivery services are very convenient. The only slight drawback is the soundproofing; you can hear people moving up and down the stairs next door. Service: The service is excellent; they are very responsive and always help guests with any issues. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

Yue Yin Resort Hotel

I never expected to find such a warm and inviting hotel hidden away in Ciqikou Ancient Town. Traveling with kids, finding the right room type is always a headache, but the family room we booked this time was perfect – the beds were big enough, the space was generous, and my child didn't want to get out of the bathtub. Even better, you can take a taxi directly to the main entrance, and there's an underground parking lot too. It's so convenient, it hardly feels like you're in an ancient town. In the center of the courtyard is a pavilion, surrounded by small stools. When the fire was lit, a singer played guitar in the pavilion. I sat by the fire with a craft beer in hand, feeling the warmth on my face, and my mind just emptied – I wasn't thinking about anything, just the crackling of the firewood. In that moment, it felt like I was sitting in an old courtyard deep in the mountains, where time slowed down enough to hear my own heartbeat. Xiao Qing and Xiao Tuo at the front desk were also very attentive, reminding us about the fire and singing in the evening when we checked in. The hotel is called 'Yueyin Chongqing Courtyard', and it's such a fitting name. It truly feels like a hidden courtyard in the city, full of life and human touch. Next time I come to Chongqing, I'll probably detour here just for this fire again.

Regent Chongqing

I had heard that Regent Chongqing was renowned for its exceptional service even before checking in, and my stay certainly confirmed it. The meticulous service and attention to detail truly made me feel at home, with a strong sense of personalized care. For instance, the butler cabinet in the room was a delightful surprise, incredibly convenient and elegant. What's more, the hotel thoughtfully offers complimentary laundry service for three items per person, which is a wonderful touch compared to the paid laundry services at other luxury hotels. As for the public areas, the 'Two Rivers Bar' boasts an elegant and grand design with fantastic views that are far from tacky, and the live music was excellent. For evening baths, you can choose from various options, and the rose petal bath was incredibly romantic, providing a perfect way to relax after a tiring day. There were also numerous other thoughtful details, such as face masks, postcards, a pillow menu, and a complimentary mini-bar, all incredibly well-designed. There was a minor hiccup during my stay; although the hotel doesn't offer a full view of Hongyadong, the front desk attendant tried her best to move me to a room with a slightly better view. Additionally, the automatic flush on the electric toilet wasn't always working, and the light switches were occasionally unresponsive, requiring multiple presses. However, considering this hotel has been open for nearly ten years, I didn't bother the front desk with these small imperfections, as they are understandable, haha. All in all, Regent Chongqing is indeed the best and most service-oriented hotel in Chongqing, truly in a league of its own! I highly recommend staying here! I look forward to my next visit!

The hotel itself is good, with an excellent location and a decent breakfast, especially considering the price. However, looking at the pictures, doesn't it resemble a product promotion center? I haven't seen anything like it in hotels of the same caliber. The hotel manager did say that if I don't like it next time, I can let them know in advance and they'll remove it.

Overall, the hotel is decent, but there's room for improvement in the details. Upon arrival, someone opened the car door and helped with luggage, which was great. Check-in was also very quick. However, the room had a few issues. First, the hairdryer was a bit faulty; it was plugged in but wouldn't work. I had to call someone to replace it. Second, the water pressure in the shower was too low; it could definitely be stronger. The hotel breakfast also had some problems. When I went for breakfast, someone seated me, and then a staff member asked if I wanted a drink. I requested an iced latte, and she said 'okay.' However, after more than twenty minutes, no latte arrived. Eventually, I went to the coffee machine myself and asked a staff member to make one for me. Also, I think the breakfast tables could have fewer unnecessary decorations and a better arrangement. There was an upright book on the table, and only after I picked it up did I realize there was a small potted plant behind it. I wondered if the plant might get knocked over if someone wasn't careful when grabbing the book… On the other hand, the butler service was quite good. Butler Yannie was very responsive to all requests, answered quickly, and was basically online all day. She even replied to my messages past 1 AM! Most importantly, her replies were timely and enthusiastic. I also want to thank her for sending a complimentary bottle of red wine, even though I forgot to drink it, haha… When I discussed extending my stay on the second night, she thoughtfully explained the process and answered all my questions, which I really appreciate 👍. The hotel room view was quite good, and the decor was also decent. The hotel's public areas are especially beautiful and perfect for photos. A special thanks to the front desk for upgrading me! I ended up in a river-view room, and the scenery outside the window was excellent.

This hotel is conveniently located near Guanyin Bridge, making transportation a breeze. While it's not the newest hotel, the room facilities are still quite good. The rooms are spacious and very clean, and the breakfast spread is excellent. The staff are all incredibly warm and attentive, especially Jackie and Bella, who really made us feel right at home.

Pros: The breathtaking views of Jinyun Mountain and the Jialing River are truly exceptional from this location. The hot spring facilities are also impressive, with a good variety of pools and a cleverly designed, intricate layout. Cons: The hotel's hardware facilities are quite outdated. For this price point, the hotel could definitely learn from the operational standards of top-tier brands. Furthermore, the breakfast selection is limited, and the toiletries in the room are of poor quality – these are areas with significant room for improvement. Large sections of wooden panels in the public areas are discolored or in disrepair. Overall: If you're looking for value for money, you might want to reconsider. However, if budget isn't an issue and you prioritize experiencing the beautiful scenery and hot springs, it's definitely worth a visit. Finally, the complimentary travel photoshoot provided by the hotel was a nice touch, and I'd like to commend the photographer, Zixuan, for her excellent service.

My stay at the Westin Chongqing Jiefangbei was absolutely perfect! The location is fantastic – right downstairs, you'll find Jiefangbei and Bayi Road Food Street, and Hongyadong is just a short walk away. The high-floor, panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offer stunning two-river night views right from your bed, and the Heavenly Bed was so soft and comfortable for a great night's sleep. The 54th-floor infinity pool has breathtaking views, and the staff were warm and attentive. Check-in was efficient, the room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast included authentic Chongqing noodles. This is definitely my top choice for a vacation in Chongqing!

The location is fantastic, making getting around super easy. Ziwei Road is right across the street, so grabbing a Heytea is incredibly convenient! In the evening, after a drink or two, it's just a two-minute walk back to the hotel. The room was clean, the bedding was soft and comfy against the skin, and the soundproofing was excellent – I slept soundly all night. The breakfast selection was quite diverse and totally exceeded my expectations; it felt like incredible value for money. Besides the usual Chinese and Western options, I highly recommend the freshly made noodles – they were delicious, and you can customize the spice level yourself. Overall, the experience was great. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Chongqing!
