We stayed at the Hotel Dorsett, and overall it was a pretty positive experience, with a few small things to note. The best parts: The room is very spacious, and the bathroom is super large, with both a bathtub and a shower. The bed is comfortable – though a little firm, and you can feel movement when the other person moves. The curtains, lights, and USB chargers are a great, convenient touch. Breakfast is good, especially for Asian tastes – Western options are limited, but what they have is tasty. The location is fantastic: the metro is just 50 meters away, right at the doorstep. The area is nice and recommended. There was some construction nearby, but it didn't bother us at all. Could be improved: The only real negative point is the elevator – it takes quite a while. Bottom line: Highly recommended for the space, cleanliness, and location. If you don't mind waiting a bit for the elevator or a slightly firm bed, everything else more than makes up for it.

This hotel is just a stone's throw away from Chunxi Road shopping district, with an abundance of great restaurants nearby. The breakfast spread at the hotel's restaurant is extensive and caters well to international guests; its clear glass windows offer a nice view of the street. The room decor has a charming antique feel, though it's a minor shame the bathroom lacks a rainfall showerhead.

The breakfast buffet had amazing options from salads, chinese foods, noodle soups, freshly pressed juice, and a variety of fruits. It was the best meal I had in China! I would stay here again 100%!

My stay at The St. Regis Chengdu was a fantastic experience. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to the St. Regis Suite. The suite was incredibly spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable…a true home away from home. The breakfast spread was excellent, with a great variety of quality options. The highlight for me was the dinner seafood buffet, the spread was really impressive and the addition of hotpot made it even more special. Absolutely delicious. Service throughout the hotel was outstanding. From the warm welcome at check-in to the seamless check-out, every staff member we encountered was attentive and professional. Gym team who took the time to walk us through the facilities personally was a small gesture that made a big difference. Highly recommend The St. Regis Chengdu for anyone looking for luxury, comfort and genuine hospitality.

Fast check in, provided us 2 cards. Although this is not a new hotel but i am still happy with the condition, it is clean, service good, very understanding and coperative staffs. The 2 days of my booking i am not able to have my breakfast due to my day tour pickup time are too early, they provide us some simple take away breakfast, this is awesome, thumbs up! The only problem which i noticed is the toilet door stopper, i have kicked it few times, in my opinion, i think that door no need to have the stopper.

Returned to Chengdu from Kangding on May 30th and once again chose to stay at the Holiday Inn Express Chengdu Gulou (Chunxi Road branch). The hotel boasts an excellent location, right next to the subway, making it super convenient to get to Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li. The rooms are modern, elegant, clean, and tidy, with great soundproofing. The front desk service is warm and thoughtful; from the moment we stepped into the hotel, front desk staff members Xiao Peng and Xiao Shi greeted us enthusiastically and brought out our stored luggage. Knowing we don't smoke, they even upgraded us to a non-smoking room, which was very considerate. The hotel breakfast offers a rich variety of Chinese and Western options, and the restaurant staff are friendly and polite, with food items replenished very quickly. Highly recommend! I'll definitely choose Holiday Inn Express again for my next stay.

Incredibly convenient location with lots of shops and restuarants nearby and the metro station right across the street. The staff were all very lovely and polite and the facilities provided were sufficient. The main drawback of our rooms were the strange layout. There was no private bathroom, only cubicles for the toilet and shower and an open sink. The cubicles had frosted glass which I found was a bit awkward and did not provide enough privacy. Additionally the toilet cubicle was directly across the window which made things more uncomfortable. I also found it frustrating that all the settings would reset after leaving the room - ie. on your return the tv would automatically turn on and the curtains would be drawn back. The design was also very dated and looked very old, the fenced windows had white cracking paint and the floors which are depicted to be carpeted in the images are actually just wooden floors. Lastly, I had some concerns with the plugs being a bit flimsy, the cover would pop off which I thought was a bit unsafe.

Five-star review, a big thank you to Shangri-La Chengdu and Xiaoling! ”Details determine success, service warms the heart” – this sentiment is perfectly embodied at the Shangri-La Hotel, Chengdu. First and foremost, a special thank you to Xiaoling at the front desk! My stay was just a regular booking, but Xiaoling not only greeted us warmly but also thoughtfully upgraded our room for free. The new room offered a fantastic view overlooking the beautiful Jinjiang River, instantly brightening up our entire trip. What moved me even more was an incident during checkout. I accidentally left an important item in the room and was extremely anxious. I contacted the hotel with a glimmer of hope, and again, it was Xiaoling who immediately calmed my nerves and quickly coordinated with housekeeping and concierge to search for it. Thanks to her efficient communication and the hotel staff's sense of responsibility, my lost item was found quickly and returned to me in perfect condition. This level of professionalism, addressing guests' urgent needs, is truly invaluable! From the delightful room upgrade to the smooth recovery of my lost item, Shangri-La Chengdu truly delivered top-notch service. Next time I'm in Chengdu, this will definitely be my first choice again. My stay at Mercure Chengdu Chunxi was absolutely fantastic! The concierge service was incredibly thoughtful and polite; they helped with my luggage and gave great recommendations for local attractions. It was such a nice touch. The ice cream at the lobby bar was deliciously creamy, and the afternoon tea was both elegant and tasty – perfect for a relaxing break after a long day of sightseeing. The 30th-floor restaurant offers an amazing breakfast spread with a huge variety of choices. The Sichuan-style dandan noodles and Zhong dumplings tasted authentic, and there were plenty of Western dishes, cereals, and desserts too. Dining with that high-altitude view was a wonderful experience. The laundry room attendant was also incredibly warm and helpful; she patiently showed me how to use the equipment and even folded my clothes before returning them, which was so kind. The overall environment is elegant and clean, and the service truly shines in the details. Plus, its location near Taikoo Li and Chunxi Road makes it super convenient for getting around and shopping. We stayed for two nights in a suite at the Hyatt Regency Chengdu (the review mistakenly says Chongqing), and since we were on vacation, we really indulged in food and drinks – a big thanks to the housekeeping staff! The dining table in the suite was large and very convenient, and the staff were incredibly patient, bringing us plates and glasses whenever we needed them. The living room was also super spacious. The hotel's overall design is simple yet refined, blending modernity with comfort. Every detail showcased quality and thoughtfulness. The bedding, in particular, was exceptionally comfortable; we slept wonderfully and didn't want to leave. I've stayed in many five-star hotels, but this one definitely has the most comfortable bedding. We were on a high floor, room 3336, which offered panoramic views of the bustling city. The view was expansive during the day and dazzling at night, truly invigorating. The hotel's location is excellent, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. What's even more commendable is the hotel staff's warm and professional service; their attention to detail made us feel right at home from check-in to check-out. The hotel's front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and the location was convenient with easy access to transportation. Overall, my stay was very pleasant, and I would definitely choose this hotel again if I have the chance in the future. The room was generally clean and tidy, though there's still room for improvement in the floor cleaning. I found a few strands of hair left by the previous guest upon check-in. However, apart from that, the room's hygiene was satisfactory. What surprised me the most were the bed and sheets! The material felt incredibly smooth and soft, providing an excellent sleeping experience – almost the best night's sleep I've had on this trip. Anyone who appreciates high-quality bedding will be very pleased. The bathrobe was also a huge plus. The plush texture was incredibly comfortable, and wearing it to relax in the air-conditioned room or even as sleepwear was very cozy, making you feel right at home. I stayed on the 34th floor, and the windows were spotlessly clean, offering a wide, unobstructed view. Enjoying the city nightscape in the evening was particularly beautiful, with sparkling lights – absolutely worth it. While some wall surfaces in the room and bathroom fixtures showed a bit of age, and there were slight signs of wear in a few corners, overall, the spectacular view, convenient location, and excellent service completely made up for these minor flaws. The hotel's location is super convenient, close to 9th Street, making it perfect for travelers who enjoy nightlife, bars, or evening activities, with many popular spots within walking distance. I must also give a special shout-out to the concierge and front desk service team. The staff, especially the female members, were all very kind, enthusiastic, and eager to help. They not only assisted with laundry service but also helped deliver my online shopping packages and food delivery to the room. The service was thoughtful and meticulous, truly making me feel at home. What I particularly liked was that the hotel provided laundry service instead of making guests use self-service washing machines, which was a very thoughtful touch and significantly enhanced the stay experience. However, there are a few things to note. There are several sets of stairs from the hotel entrance to the lobby. If you're carrying large luggage, you might need to put in some effort to carry it up. It's advisable to be prepared for this before checking in. Additionally, the room interior features a multi-level design with steps in some areas. For someone like me who can be a bit forgetful and prone to zoning out when getting up in the middle of the night to use the restroom, extra caution is needed regarding footing. I accidentally stumbled several times when going to the bathroom at night 🤣. While the design is unique, guests with mobility issues or those prone to tripping might need to be extra careful. Overall, it's a hotel with excellent service, outstanding views, and a convenient location. Although some of the hardware facilities show signs of age, and there are stairs and indoor steps to be aware of, the attentive service team, comfortable bedding, stunning night views, and superb location made it feel very worthwhile. I will definitely consider staying here again next time I visit this city!

After almost two years, I returned to Jinjiang Hotel Sichuan. The hotel's facilities are showing their age; the bathtub and electrical fixtures in the room are quite old. However, the service quality remains excellent. This stay, though, felt a bit less satisfying than previous ones. Apart from my very first stay where I got a room with a balcony, I haven't had one since, including this time, and the welcome fruit was also missing. The room isn't particularly spacious, but it's functional, with a desk and a sofa. Still, the facilities are dated, and the power outlet layout and updates are desperately needed. I recall having a smart toilet and electric curtains during my last stay, but this time, the room felt like a throwback to the 1950s or 60s in terms of decor. The staff, however, are excellent – warm, attentive, and very helpful with assembling things and ensuring there's plenty of water. The breakfast is very rich, with a wide variety of Chinese and Western dishes, including local specialties and Western pastries. However, the quality seems to have declined slightly. For example, there was no vinaigrette at the vegetable salad bar (though it was provided the next day after I requested it), and the honey was only found tucked away and given upon request. Overall, Jinjiang Hotel Sichuan offers good service quality and is worth experiencing. If they were to renovate the bathrooms and electrical facilities, it would truly meet modern standards.

The hotel's doorman service was incredibly thoughtful; they helped with our luggage and escorted us to the front desk on the 33rd floor. Being located on a high floor, our room on the 41st floor offered excellent views. The 'family butler' service really stands out as a unique and attentive feature. Since we're a family of three and were indecisive about the room, they proactively showed us different options and offered helpful suggestions. We had such a comfortable stay that we ended up extending for another night. On the first night, the pillows were too soft for me, but the next day, they immediately provided us with a dual-sided pillow – buckwheat on one side and soft on the other – which was super thoughtful. I was a bit hesitant when booking, debating between this hotel and Wanhao, but as soon as I arrived, all my doubts vanished. It saved us a lot of money!
