The room was specially upgraded, and the service was excellent as requested. Although it's a bit old, the room facilities are well-maintained and very practical. The breakfast was great, offering excellent value for money. The service attitude was truly superb and professional, which is hard to find in Chengdu. The location is good, convenient for getting anywhere. The airport shuttle is nearby, and it's easy to shop and dine. The carpet shows its age, and there's a slight odor in the hallway, but the room was well-ventilated and acceptable. The corridor has a nostalgic 90s feel. Overall, the price is fair. Many foreigners stay here. If you prefer smart, new hotels, this place might not be for you.

This hotel is perfect for families with kids. The two rooms are spacious enough, and the location is excellent, making it easy to get anywhere. The hotel's robot delivery service for takeout is also fantastic! Sometimes ordering takeout to the hotel is even cheaper than buying it myself from the store, and the robot delivers it right to your room door, which is great!

Overall, this hotel is really good, and the stay was quite comfortable. The breakfast selection is rich, with both Chinese and Western options, offering plenty of choices to cater to different tastes. The staff are professional and responsive, making guests feel well-cared for. However, I'd like to mention two minor details: the scent in the ground floor lobby is a bit strong; it can be a little pungent when you first walk in, though it gets better on the 25th floor where the main hotel lobby is located. I suggest the hotel could tone it down a bit. Also, room service deliveries aren't allowed to guest rooms, which I assume is for security reasons and is understandable, but it does mean a slight inconvenience for guests. And finally, you can't reach your room directly by one elevator; you need to transfer, which is a bit troublesome when you have luggage. These minor issues don't overshadow the positives, and overall, it's still highly recommendable. One more thing: the internet wasn't very good; it would be great if it could be optimized.

Had a fantastic stay! We were on the 26th floor and the view from the floor-to-ceiling windows was really nice! The room was very spacious, and even though it was a twin room, the beds were wide and soft. Great experience. Although the hotel is a bit older, all the facilities are very well maintained. The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of options, including both continental and very local dishes like 'Bo Bo Chicken' and 'Zhong Shui Jiao' (dumplings). The 'Bo Bo Chicken' had good seasoning, and there were many choices for freshly boiled noodles, which also tasted great! I'd definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Chengdu! The room cleaning and service were both impeccable, very satisfied!

This was our third stay on this trip, and we finally managed to book the Fun Family Room. It's significantly larger than the Starlight Family Room we stayed in before, with bunk beds that the kids were really looking forward to, and a small tent perfect for younger children. Yulin Life Plaza and Tongzilin commercial area Chengdu|4.31km from city center
I stayed in an executive twin room on the 19th floor. The hotel is conveniently located right next to Tongzilin subway station, making it easy to get to Yulin and Chunxi Road. The room has been renovated and feels simple yet spacious. The two standard single beds with soft bedding provided ample space for two people. The bathroom features an open-plan shower design, without a bathtub. Booking an executive room grants exclusive access to the executive lounge, with complimentary buffet breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening happy hour. The lounge was quiet with few people, and offered a good selection of light meals and a hot noodle station. The high-floor, floor-to-ceiling windows offered expansive views of the city's nightscape in the southern part of town. All soft drinks in the in-room mini-bar were complimentary, and a coffee machine was provided, ensuring all essential amenities were available. Service was prompt, and the elevators operated smoothly. Overall, the location is convenient, and the executive lounge benefits offer great value for money. However, the bathroom setup is quite basic; I wouldn't recommend it for guests looking for a bathtub or high-end toiletries. It's a great choice for business travelers or short trips.

The location is fantastic, right on Chunxi Road, with a shopping mall next door and easy access to the subway and buses. Even though it's above a bustling commercial street, the room was incredibly quiet. I slept in until 8:30 AM on my first day! Check-in is on the 15th floor, but there's a concierge on the ground floor who provides excellent service; they were always prompt in opening car doors and greeting us upon arrival and departure. I highly recommend trying the all-you-can-eat hotpot on the 16th floor; the food is great, and surprisingly, my clothes didn't smell afterwards! Because of the hotel's prime location, the room felt a little cramped overall, especially the bathroom, which was quite small. However, the excellent service made up for it, so it was still an acceptable trade-off.

Honestly, choosing a hotel in Chengdu is tough. I read reviews for every hotel, and they all seemed to have issues. I was a bit apprehensive when I picked the Shangri-La, especially concerning hygiene and facilities, and even braced myself for the worst. Traveling with my child and parents, I couldn't help but worry a little. But when we arrived, I realized my worries were completely unnecessary! 1. **Facilities are old:** This is unavoidable, as the hotel opened in 2007. Back then, it was definitely top-notch, but it's not 'old' in a negative sense. 2. **Well-maintained:** It's clear the hotel puts effort into maintaining its facilities. 3. **Excellent service:** A big thank you to the front desk staff – they were never impatient, no matter when we approached them. Our family room had a leaking bathroom, and since it was late, we didn't switch rooms that night. The next day, they upgraded us directly to a large family suite! My child was thrilled, and they even waived the breakfast fee for one person. 4. **Presidential visit:** The President of Ecuador also stayed there during our visit, haha! What a coincidence. Security was extra strict those few days; we even had to go through security checks every time we entered or exited the lobby. 5. **Dining:** We ordered room service from the hotel, including dishes from Shang Palace, and the food was truly delicious! Also, the hotel breakfast is absolutely worth it. My father is very particular about breakfast, and the next day he told me the mini steamed buns were excellent! The dan dan noodles and beef wide noodles were also great.

The hotel's location is great, just a five-minute walk from the 'Panda Climbing Wall'. There are direct shuttle buses to tourist attractions and airport buses available there. Taxis can experience slight traffic when entering or leaving, but overall, transportation is very convenient! The advantages are that the room has a small balcony for drying clothes and good ventilation. The air conditioning is powerful, and the shower head has strong water pressure. We stayed for three days and had no drainage issues. The automatic toilet was very convenient. The mini-fridge was restocked daily with drinks, which our child loved. The cleaning staff were very friendly and greeted us warmly. The breakfast offered a good variety, including Chengdu specialties. Now for a few downsides: the elevator wait time was a bit long. The comforter felt a bit damp and had a slight odor, so I couldn't get it too close to my face while sleeping. The toilet also had an odor, likely due to some parts of the automatic toilet not being thoroughly cleaned, requiring frequent ventilation. The shower room lacked shelves for toiletries. The furniture and facilities were a bit basic; with two suitcases open, they could only be placed on the sofa as there was nowhere else to put them. The afternoon tea and late-night snack options were limited, but it's better than nothing. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceeded expectations, a quality choice that makes you want to return! I chose Fraser Place Chengdu for this business trip, and the experience was fantastic. Here are a few points I must praise: Thoughtful Breakfast 🥐 The buffet breakfast was not just a perfunctory offering. The homemade yogurt was rich and creamy, perfectly complemented by honey, raisins, and banana chips – refreshing and healthy. The cold milk was also very fresh. In the hot dishes section, there were Sichuan-style stews and authentic spicy ox tongue salad, which was麻辣鲜香 (numbingly spicy, fragrant, and savory). Getting to taste the flavors of Chengdu so early in the morning was very satisfying! First-Class Amenities 🏊 The constant temperature swimming pool on the third floor was absolutely amazing.
