GGuest UserService: The service was incredibly welcoming. They contacted us in advance to confirm our arrival, and when we drove in, they guided us to their private parking lot. They also gave us plenty of recommendations for local attractions and dining spots.
Environment: The ground floor is a charming café, designed like a handcrafted workshop. After breakfast, you can head up to the rooftop and enjoy panoramic views of the ancient city. The rooftop garden is also beautifully designed! It's right next to March Street, and just across the road from the ancient city itself. It's super close to all the nearby attractions, which is great when you're traveling with kids because you won't spend all your time commuting.
Facilities: The facilities are quite comprehensive. The breakfast spread is extensive, a proper hotel buffet, which was a welcome change after eating rice noodles for several days straight. It was a pleasant surprise!

GGuest UserThe room has great natural light and is very spacious. Compared to similar places, the price is really friendly. The homestay's service is absolutely outstanding. It's located high up, offering unobstructed views of Erhai Lake. They even prepare an afternoon tea, so you can just relax, enjoy the breeze, and have some snacks – you could easily spend the whole afternoon there without needing to go out. It just so happened that we stayed on Lantern Festival, and the owner even prepared *tangyuan* (sweet dumplings) for us. We bought so many fireworks that night, we couldn't even set them all off, seriously, there were too many!
**Summary:**
Great service, clean facilities, and fantastic views. It's located in Haidong, so driving is recommended. Definitely a place you can book with confidence!

It's very quiet, and there are plenty of relaxation areas where you can enjoy a pot of tea – it's incredibly pleasant! After all the stress from work, this vacation with my family instantly felt restorative. The air quality is also excellent! The front desk staff provided outstanding service; they were so warm and welcoming. The room even came with a variety of snacks and fruits. My child was super happy, eating dragon fruit while taking a bath, she said it was amazing! Breakfast had a great variety, and the noodles were delicious too. We just took our time, strolled around, and enjoyed the sights.

GGuest UserThis place truly made me feel at home. I arrived at the hotel starving after my business trip, heading straight into a solo vacation. The owner's father personally picked me up from the airport and even made me a warm bowl of noodles. The rest of my stay was wonderful. The room had an unbeatable location; I could see Erhai Lake and Cangshan Mountain the moment I woke up, and enjoyed both sunrise and sunset, plus the evening 'fish lanterns'. Reading, sunbathing, and feeling the breeze from Erhai Lake on the balcony – it was incredibly relaxing. The only downside was that the room was so comfortable, I barely wanted to leave to explore! The owner, knowing I was tired, even brought my takeout right to my room. I wish all hard-working people like them continued success!

Kkhim shen tanThe service was incredibly welcoming. Every staff member at the hotel was enthusiastic and greeted us with a warm smile. The two young staff members at the front desk were particularly helpful, providing us with attentive service and answering all our questions, clarifying many things we didn't understand. The hotel also offered unlimited delicious breakfast, which suited our taste perfectly. In the lobby, there were also complimentary fruits and nuts that we could enjoy as much as we wanted. Every corner of the hotel was artistic, making it great for photos. The rooftop even had a pool and an observation deck. What truly surprised us was the trendy 'sky mirror' and mirrored staircase – perfect for Instagram! Our room was very quiet, with top-notch soundproofing. The design of the room was perfect and stylish, and it even had a smart toilet, which was a bonus for us Malaysians. Both the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, and we could request daily room cleaning from the front desk if needed. The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from popular attractions, and there are many delicious and affordable food options nearby. Overall, it's a hotel with excellent value for money.

TTraveling Family from GermanyWe had a very smooth experience from arrival to departure. The hotel organised a transfer from Dali Railway Station, which worked perfectly. Upon arrival, we were immediately helped with our luggage. Check-in was straightforward and worked without any issues for foreign guests. Basic English is spoken, which is fully sufficient for communication.
The hotel itself is small and built in a beautiful traditional Chinese style, with a lot of wood and a charming inner courtyard with warm lighting in the evening. The rooms are duplex-style: a cosy living room downstairs and a rustic bedroom upstairs, plus a balcony with a lovely view of the surrounding mountain peaks. The design feels authentic and calm. Bathrooms are slightly lower in height, so guests above 1.80m might find them a bit tight. Cleanliness throughout the property is excellent. Despite the traditional architecture, all modern comforts are available: fast and stable internet, strong heating in both living room and bedroom (important in winter), and a generally very comfortable atmosphere.
The location is near the Three Pagodas, just outside the main tourist development zone. You can walk to the first restaurants within minutes, and there is even a local restaurant directly next to the hotel. The Three Pagodas are within very easy walking distance, and from there you can conveniently use DiDi or rental scooters to reach other sights around Dali.
Breakfast can be taken either in a small dining room or delivered to the room. It is local Chinese style, adapted to the region, very tasty and served with a smile. Great coffee is available.
Checkout was simple, and the hotel arranged our return transfer as well. We even received a small souvenir gift per room, which was a very thoughtful touch.
Overall, this hotel is a real highlight in Dali. It feels like stepping back in time, but without sacrificing modern comfort. It is ideal both for exploring the main attractions and for simply relaxing in a quiet, peaceful setting away from the busier city areas.
