RW7Chose this place as I wanted to be right next to all the activities and food at the famous Insadong alleys. Glad that I was not disappointed.
It is a quick 5 mins walk from the nearest station (8-10mins if lugging a big luggage), but the walk brings you through to the many restaurants, bakeries and cafes.
The building is located at a quiet and peaceful but safe street. There is a CU just 30 seconds away from the building.
Email was sent in the morning of check-in, with the luggage storage door code and check-in details. It was a breeze from start to end.
The room is exactly as described and depicted, with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay.

BasGTiny little hotel room but it was clean and had everything we needed. The hotel pyjamas were an unexpected amenity and cute. Breakfast at the rooftop bar was especially tasty, with a supply of blankets, and beautiful views that made it one of our highlights. The lobby scales to weigh our luggage also helped alot with packing for our flights. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and looked after our bags while we explored after checkout.

Sim To UiMy second time staying here but this time as a solo traveller. For the price, I think what was provided in the room was pretty good. Layout and chair could be improved to allow for people to work better in the room. Definitely the plus is its location, and its quietness as well, near the train station and lots and lots of shops around the area, inc many cafes, as this is a university area. Near to Dongdaemun and Myeongdong as well by train.

Guest UserThe room itself was decent, aside from the lack of soundproofing. The only real issue was that if you weren't careful upstairs, you'd constantly bump your head – I did it about four or five times! However, it's still pretty good value for money, given the low price.

The room is small and a little boring but you’re paying for the location, and it’s comfortable and clean. There’s a good beer bar, Seoulista, on the ground floor. There’s is an aerial walkway connected, which goes to Seoul Station. You can also use the metro Exit 7 (I think) but it will charge you just for walking through if you are coming from the AirPort Express. The breakfast arrangements are quite eccentric, but I had a good breakfast.

This hotel was lovely. It's about a 12 minute walk from all the shopping in Myeongdong, and it's not a bad walk to the cable car to Namsan tower. The subway is also conviently located as well as the bus to the airport.
The staff was wonderful and super helpful. We were able to leave our luggage in the lobby after we checked out, and there's a scale to weigh your bag, too. Also, a cute rooftop deck with tables. There's a convenience store across the street, and I think it's open 24 hours. The room didn't have a microwave, so we used that one. The room does have a mini fridge and electric kettle.
Even though our room was near the elevator, it was super quiet. My only problem was it was a little too quiet. Even with the air conditioner on, there was no fan sound, so if you like white noise at night be aware. The curtains worked well. The door had two locks, and every floor and the rooftop were only accessible with your room key. Very safe. 10/10 recommend

姜龙智Our family's heartwarming stay at The Designers Hotel Jongno, Seoul, before meeting old friends in Korea.
As a dad from China with two children, a 9-year-old son and a 6-year-old daughter, this trip to Korea was to meet a long-time Korean friend. Before our formal reunion, our family of four stayed at The Designers Hotel Jongno, Seoul.
It was still Chinese New Year, making our family time even more precious and the trip more special.
🏨 **A Rare Find: A Room for a Family of Four**
It’s often hard to find hotels that can accommodate four people in one room these days. Most standard rooms are for 2-3 guests, meaning a family of four usually has to book two rooms or pay extra. The Designers Hotel Jongno, Seoul, allowed all four of us to stay in one room, and we were incredibly satisfied with this.
* Kids didn't have to be separated from parents.
* Parents felt more at ease.
* The travel atmosphere felt more complete.
* It was also more cost-effective.
This was especially important since our 6-year-old daughter is still quite dependent on us, so sleeping together was a big plus.
👶 **Proactive Offer of a Crib – Very Thoughtful**
During check-in, the staff proactively asked if we needed a crib. While our children are 9 and 6 and didn't need one, the fact that the hotel offered it and showed concern for family needs left a great impression on me. Any family with kids will understand how much this kind of thoughtfulness is appreciated.
🧺 **Laundry & Dryer Available, and Staff Cleaned Them First**
Traveling with two kids means laundry is almost a necessity. The hotel provided a washing machine and dryer, which was very convenient.
What touched me even more was this: when we were about to wash the kids' clothes, the staff member said that hygiene for children's clothing is very important and then proactively cleaned both the washing machine and dryer for us. This detail truly gave us peace of mind. It wasn’t just about having the facilities but also about their attentive service.
🌿 **Cheonggyecheon Stream Nearby, Perfect for Family Strolls**
The hotel is right near Cheonggyecheon Stream (청계천). It’s perfect for taking the kids for a walk after dinner. Walking along to the sound of the water keeps the children engaged, and the environment feels relatively safe.
🍽 **No Worries About Kids' Meals**
There are many kid-friendly restaurants nearby, offering:
* Gimbap
* Porridge
* Dumplings
My children are picky eaters, and they especially love dumplings. Luckily, there's a dumpling shop nearby, which was incredibly convenient for us.
✨ **Clean and Comfortable Rooms**
The hotel has recently been renovated, feeling clean, tidy, and comfortable overall.
* Clean bedding
* Hygienic bathroom
* Spacious feel
* Soft lighting
My wife also said she felt very comfortable staying there. For families with children, ”cleanliness” is truly the most important thing.
✅ **Summary**
✔ Can accommodate four people in one room.
✔ Crib offered proactively.
✔ Laundry and dryer available, with careful cleaning of equipment.
✔ Close to Cheonggyecheon Stream, suitable for family walks.
✔ Many dining options nearby.
✔ Would consider staying again.
For families traveling to Seoul with two or more children, I would recommend The Designers Hotel Jongno, Seoul.

大阪名物This hotel is just right for a 2-3 night stay. My check-in was scheduled for 5 PM, but when I asked if I could store my luggage, they actually let me check in at 3 PM. The nearest major station is Gangnam, so getting around by bus is quite convenient. If you have a lot of luggage, I'd recommend taking a taxi. Given the hilly area, a combination of bus and taxi would be ideal. I chose a standard double room, which is perfect for those who prefer showers. The only minor issue was a slight cigarette smell.

pmorrowNice location, it will take about 10 minutes from the metro station. Modern fashionable business location of the Gangnam? Sorry, it is not. Urban beauty of the Seoul is so-so. Cafes or restaurants aren't very close, but not so far. But the sport cafe with evening soccer translation is close and you will hear it all the might very well.
Facilities.. You will have no toothbrush and soap. Only single use shampoo and shower gel that weren't updated even every day. Towels also not refreshed every day. Multiple use sleepers.
Drinking water you may find in the hidden fridge. Electric kettle i have not use. I dont remember, maybe the tea bags where available. Even condoms where but i prefer a toothpaste with toothbrush.
Once i have asked to clean the room it was ignored. But on the third day was done. One time at my 4 night stay.
The best option i have met as EU standard USB 2A phone charger which helped me every night. As i have took chinese standard charger only, so stupid for me. Might be smarter next trip.
Hope my currency rate will grow again and the hotel costs with these weathers will not look so high. But last time i expected more.
Anyway thank you!
