Great
GGuest UserThis hotel clearly puts a lot of thought into every detail, and it's by far the best experience I've had during my stays in Seoul. 1. **Warm, but not overbearing service.** From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by a Korean gentleman. Then, a friendly, seemingly Western staff member helped me with the entire check-in process. Afterwards, he even gave me a map in Chinese and explained the surrounding neighborhood and transportation options. The whole experience was fantastic (P.S. The hotel offers free breakfast to all guests from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. I woke up too late this time, but I'll definitely try it on my next visit). 2. **Reliable cleanliness.** The black tiles around the sink, which usually show water stains easily, were completely spotless. The bed and tables were equally tidy. What's more, and this is a significant point, it's the *only* hotel I've stayed at in Seoul where there was no unpleasant smell from the drains. There was also a very subtle, understated fragrance in the air, which was lovely. 3. **Tasteful decor and sensible space planning.** I checked in in the afternoon, and the sun was shining beautifully into the room. It was so blissful to lie on the bed, bask in the sun, and do some writing. Outside the window, it was a semi-residential/office area, so there wasn't a lot of loud traffic noise, ensuring a good night's sleep. **In summary:** An absolutely wonderful hotel! I'd recommend it to all my friends visiting Seoul.

TthewandercuratorFourth stay. Facilities are well-maintained over our repeat visits, easy self check-in instructions and arrival/departure routes via airport bus and Line 3 subway. Ikseon-dong remains a fun and cosy neighbourhood to be based in whenever we are back in Seoul. We will be back soon!

AAnnaJKThis is not the first time I’ve stayed at this hotel, and everything has always been excellent — but not this time. It all started at check-in, when we were given a different room than the one we had booked. However, thanks to the reception staff, the issue was quickly resolved. Then we noticed that the toilet smelled of smoke, even though the room was supposed to be non-smoking. We informed the staff, and over time the smell became less noticeable. Housekeeping was done daily, and the staff responded promptly to all our requests. These minor inconveniences did not spoil our stay. We will definitely come back again.

GGuest UserOverall, I had a good stay at the hotel. The room was clean and the facilities were nice. The location in Gangnam is very convenient, which makes it easy to get around the area. However, the bathroom was a bit small, and the hot water was not very consistent at times. The price is slightly on the higher side, but that might be expected since the hotel is located in Gangnam. Overall, it was still a pleasant stay and a good option if you want to stay i

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is decent, making it convenient to get around, and the room was clean and tidy. However, the service was just average. My partner and I stayed for three nights and four days. We didn't request room cleaning during our stay because on the first day, upon check-in, we only received two small sachets of shampoo/conditioner and shower gel, and a tiny bar of soap. When we asked for more, the front desk said they would have the housekeeping staff leave them at our door, but they never did. Another major issue is the emergency exit. The stairs on the second floor are designated as an emergency exit, but this passage is actually used to store hotel items (as shown in the picture), making it very difficult for anyone to pass through. In an emergency, like a fire, how would guests on the upper floors escape? Our room was on the second floor, directly facing these stairs, and we had to use the elevator to get around. Sometimes, we had to wait a long time for the elevator, and we couldn't even use the stairs. Emergency exits should always be kept clear and unobstructed!

GGuest UserNoticed that all the room designs are different and I think I’ve got one of the smaller rooms with no bathtub. We had 2 large luggage and 2 hand carries, with thick winter jackets sweaters etc, the room felt cramp, especially after doing several shopping trips. There was barely any room left for us to walk around. We had to move the coffee table to make space. Hated the carpet on coffee table side. You can tell that it was not vacuumed properly. Also didn’t like the slippers they provided, it’s the rubber type slippers, not the one-time disposal slippers and just felt unhygienic so we didn’t use it. There’s heater for the flooring but the heat wasn’t distributed evenly and we didn’t know how to adjust the temperature. Without slippers on, some parts of the floor felt like you’re walking on fire. There’s aircond in the room but the temperature just didn’t feel right especially during the winter. It’s either too cold or too hot. The window beside the bed was abit malfunctioned, so if you were open it, it will open all the way - which is too cold during the winter. So most nights we end up sweating during our sleep. We requested a full change of the comforter on the second day due to stains. However, we are not certain whether the comforter itself was replaced or if only the bedding was changed - didn’t bother checking for the stains. Toilets were cleaned properly so that’s appreciated. Location was fantastic. 5 mins away from the subway exit 9. Fell sick on one of the days and the pharmacy is just down the streets.

YYan-ZhengThis hotel is super close to Seoul Station, accessible from either Exit 1 or 7 (see picture 4). We had an overnight layover before catching the KTX, so staying here was incredibly convenient. You can even walk here along the Seoullo 7017 Skygarden. Plus, there's Lotte Outlets and a supermarket nearby for some shopping. We booked a family twin room with a queen bed (1.5m) and a single bed (1.1m), perfect for three people, and the space was just right. Check-out is at 12 PM, and at around 700 [currency, presumably KRW], it's really good value for money. The service was good, though we didn't get a chance to use any other facilities!

姜龙智Our family's heartwarming stay at The Designers Hotel Jongno, Seoul, before meeting old friends in Korea. As a dad from China with two children, a 9-year-old son and a 6-year-old daughter, this trip to Korea was to meet a long-time Korean friend. Before our formal reunion, our family of four stayed at The Designers Hotel Jongno, Seoul. It was still Chinese New Year, making our family time even more precious and the trip more special. 🏨 **A Rare Find: A Room for a Family of Four** It’s often hard to find hotels that can accommodate four people in one room these days. Most standard rooms are for 2-3 guests, meaning a family of four usually has to book two rooms or pay extra. The Designers Hotel Jongno, Seoul, allowed all four of us to stay in one room, and we were incredibly satisfied with this. * Kids didn't have to be separated from parents. * Parents felt more at ease. * The travel atmosphere felt more complete. * It was also more cost-effective. This was especially important since our 6-year-old daughter is still quite dependent on us, so sleeping together was a big plus. 👶 **Proactive Offer of a Crib – Very Thoughtful** During check-in, the staff proactively asked if we needed a crib. While our children are 9 and 6 and didn't need one, the fact that the hotel offered it and showed concern for family needs left a great impression on me. Any family with kids will understand how much this kind of thoughtfulness is appreciated. 🧺 **Laundry & Dryer Available, and Staff Cleaned Them First** Traveling with two kids means laundry is almost a necessity. The hotel provided a washing machine and dryer, which was very convenient. What touched me even more was this: when we were about to wash the kids' clothes, the staff member said that hygiene for children's clothing is very important and then proactively cleaned both the washing machine and dryer for us. This detail truly gave us peace of mind. It wasn’t just about having the facilities but also about their attentive service. 🌿 **Cheonggyecheon Stream Nearby, Perfect for Family Strolls** The hotel is right near Cheonggyecheon Stream (청계천). It’s perfect for taking the kids for a walk after dinner. Walking along to the sound of the water keeps the children engaged, and the environment feels relatively safe. 🍽 **No Worries About Kids' Meals** There are many kid-friendly restaurants nearby, offering: * Gimbap * Porridge * Dumplings My children are picky eaters, and they especially love dumplings. Luckily, there's a dumpling shop nearby, which was incredibly convenient for us. ✨ **Clean and Comfortable Rooms** The hotel has recently been renovated, feeling clean, tidy, and comfortable overall. * Clean bedding * Hygienic bathroom * Spacious feel * Soft lighting My wife also said she felt very comfortable staying there. For families with children, ”cleanliness” is truly the most important thing. ✅ **Summary** ✔ Can accommodate four people in one room. ✔ Crib offered proactively. ✔ Laundry and dryer available, with careful cleaning of equipment. ✔ Close to Cheonggyecheon Stream, suitable for family walks. ✔ Many dining options nearby. ✔ Would consider staying again. For families traveling to Seoul with two or more children, I would recommend The Designers Hotel Jongno, Seoul.
