EricKhanA very beautiful seaside resort that very suitable for couple especially the room is facing the sea. You can just sit on the bed to vet a very awesome seaview. The staff is very friendly and I got a free upgrade to the big room with both sewview and mountain view room Awesome! The room is very big, clean and comfortable. The breakfast canchoose Chinese style or Western style, its not a buffet but good enough. The taste is good too for Chinese style breakfast.

Anonymous UserThis stay was exceptionally good! The location is excellent, making travel very convenient. The room was newly renovated, and the staff were all very welcoming, creating a great living experience. I especially want to thank Erick Lu, Mandy Li, and Cindy Long from the Executive Lounge for their attentive hospitality. The concierge also provided excellent assistance. The hotel is well-staffed, so even with a high volume of guests, they managed to serve everyone well, and service responses were very prompt. Overall, the service was meticulous and thoughtful, and the environment was comfortable and relaxing. I had a truly pleasant stay and sincerely appreciate everyone's dedication. I look forward to my next visit!

Guest UserHere's a detailed review of my stay:
📍 **Location:**
One of the hotel's best features is its location. It's close to the metro station, and the public beach is about a 5-minute walk away. However, it's often crowded, not a private beach, and lacks any water sports or activities. It's also right next to the Outlet Village, accessible in just 2-3 minutes via a bridge, which is a great perk for shopping enthusiasts.
🏨 **Arrival and Reception:**
The hotel entrance is beautiful and modern, making a great first impression. Upon arrival, the reception area was busy, and unfortunately, we had to carry most of our luggage ourselves. Only one small bag was assisted, while we pushed the rest of our suitcases up to our rooms.
We had booked two rooms and were kindly upgraded to a pool-view room for one of them, while the other remained a mountain view as booked. To be honest, the pool-view room was smaller than the original room we had reserved.
🛏️ **Room:**
The room was modern, elegant, and high-tech, with everything looking brand new. The toilet (excuse the description) was smart, and the hotel provided a Dyson hairdryer and special, high-quality outdoor slippers.
Our room was approximately 50 square meters, making it spacious and comfortable, with two air conditioners providing excellent cooling throughout our stay. The bed and pillows were also very comfortable, ensuring a peaceful sleep.
Sound insulation within the room was excellent, and the integrated sound system with the projector/TV was fantastic with great quality. However, when walking through the corridors, you could hear TVs from some rooms.
🧹 **Cleanliness and Service:**
Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment was on the last night after the typhoon. During room cleaning, they only cleaned the balcony and emptied the trash, while the room floor remained wet, the bed wasn't made, bathroom tissues weren't replaced, towels weren't changed, and basic amenities weren't refilled.
Overall, the service didn't feel like that of a five-star hotel. Most staff members were either busy on their phones or rushing around the restaurant unprofessionally. One surprising incident was when I went for breakfast about 45 minutes before closing, and when I asked for boiled eggs, I was told they weren't available, even though there was still plenty of time before the buffet ended.
On the other hand, I'd like to thank the receptionist who checked us in; he spoke fluent English and was very helpful. I also appreciate the staff member responsible for the WeChat service, who was very quick to respond to all our inquiries throughout our stay.
🍽️ **Breakfast:**
We stayed for 5 days, and the breakfast was the same every day with no notable variety. For us as Muslims, the options were very limited, mostly consisting of toast, eggs, and fruits. I hope they add more options suitable for international guests.
💡 **Facilities:**
* Curtains and lighting are electronically controlled.
* There's a robot for room service deliveries, which was a nice touch.
* Customer service via WeChat is very quick to respond.
* Upon check-in, we received free vouchers for Wish Tower entry, as well as mini-bar drinks.
* The pool operates from 2 PM to 10 PM. I think the opening time is too late, especially for those who want to swim in the morning.
* The pool is about 120 meters long, with a lifeguard present at all times.
* Pool towels are not provided at the pool area; you have to bring them from your room, which I found surprising for a five-star hotel.
* There's a small but functional gym.
* The pool view is more vibrant and appealing than the mountain view.
📶 **Wi-Fi:**
The internet speed was moderate, sufficient for daily use, but not the best.
🛗 **Elevators:**
There are only two elevators, but during our stay, the waiting time wasn't long.
🚿 **Bathroom:**
The toilet has a heated seat feature but lacks an electronic bidet, which I would have expected in a hotel of this caliber.
👕 **Services:**
There's no iron in the room. Instead, there's a laundry room with a steam iron available for use. Frankly, I was surprised that room ironing service wasn't available, especially for a five-star hotel.
🌪️ **During the Typhoon:**
Our stay coincided with a typhoon, and the winds were extremely strong, making the balcony door shake frighteningly. Credit to the hotel for securing the pool area and closing it to prevent items from flying around. However, guests were unfortunately not informed of any instructions or warnings; we discovered this ourselves. I would have appreciated a message or notice to reassure guests and explain safety procedures.

First off, the check-in time was indeed quite long, but it's understandable given it was peak summer season. They even offered drinks while we waited, which was a nice touch! As an InterContinental member, I also received two complimentary drinks at the bar.
The hotel's facilities are excellent. I went for a spa treatment while my child and husband went swimming – a perfect arrangement. As soon as I finished my spa, the butler notified me that our room key was ready! There was also a welcome fruit platter in the room.
The room's view was absolutely unbeatable! We truly felt at home and enjoyed every moment.
However, I actually found the breakfast to be even better than the dinner buffet. The oil-splashed noodles at breakfast were delicious 😋, and the chef who made them had such character, clearly demonstrating his passion for food. I really admire him! Thumbs up to him! 👍
For dinner, the seafood wasn't very fresh; the oysters and crab meat were quite loose. Plus, on the second night, we wanted to try the Southeast Asian restaurant, but upon arrival, many dishes were unavailable, which was a bit disappointing, so we left to eat elsewhere. Also, the restaurant closes at 9:30 PM.
Overall, having stayed at this hotel over 10 years ago, returning now with my child, I still highly recommend it! The pool and beach are amazing, offering great privacy for guests! We will definitely be back 😊

Guest UserWe went to MGM SZ for weekend getaway, with my wifey and daughter to celebrate wedding anniversary. Right when we arrived at MGM Shenzhen, our experience was amazing!!! The checkin went very smooth and we were given an upgrade of our suite on 9/F with 270 degrees panoramic view of the sea! The room was a majestically large, with a huge balcony for us to do yoga the next morning. The interior design was nature themed and felt so relaxing. The circular tub was huge! and had a clear view out to the sky past the balcony. The hotel staff went out of their way to celebrate our anniversary by giving cake, chocolates in our room, decorating our dining table with rose petals and a flower when we went to FIAMMA, and free family photo session! The staff service, food quality and presentation of the dishes was top notch black pearl level! There was so much to do at the hotel and at the huge beach right out front. The hotel outdoor environment is definitely very unique w a beautiful unobstructed view of the sea and a 2km long beach that managed veryvwell! Lots to play there including water sports, swimming in sea and eateries.! Not least is the outdoor swimming pool, kids play facilities in hotel! I also booked a space on 3F of hotel podium to hold a celebration event with a flower backdrop installation for my wife. Karen Chen and Lisa 宝儿, of sales/events planning department, did a super splendid work, professional and accommodating in facilitating the process and ensuring our stay and celebration was excellent! Lisa was very on top of the event and answered all my queries instantly, and coordinated with the vendor to set up. Still lots great things to say, but getting to long, so in sum we will be definitely going back to MGM SZ, with friends an family, and to enjoy the many attactions and facilities that we havent done yet!!!

Guest UserMy stay here was fantastic! The hotel's location is super convenient for getting around. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was really comfortable, so I slept great. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and helpful, and check-in and check-out were very efficient. Housekeeping did a thorough job, and the facilities are well-maintained and comprehensive. The overall environment is quiet, and it offers great value for money. I had a very pleasant stay. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in town, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Cyril_UNICExcellent stay – very pet-friendly and convenient!
The front desk service was excellent – the staff were very accommodating and genuinely pet-friendly. We are extremely grateful for their supper late checkout !
Breakfast offered a good selection of Western pastries options to choose from.
The swimming pool was very clean, and the housekeeping staff were extremely friendly. Requests were handled promptly and efficiently. There are also plenty of self-service washing machines and dryers with large capacities – you can wash and dry a lot of clothes at once, and the dryers work very efficiently.
The hotel layout is incredibly convenient. The car park, rooms, and laundry area are all on the same level, so you can get everything done without changing floors.
The location is great too – about a 10-minute walk to a small pet-friendly beach where you can generally swim with your pets during the day.
We'll definitely be back!

Guest UserOverall, it was decent. The room environment was fine, but the location isn't ideal for families with strollers, a bit of a hassle.
The service was very good. I accidentally left my earphones, and the staff found them and mailed them back to me. Their service attitude deserves a big thumbs up!
We didn't get to take the scheduled photos, which was a bit disappointing as we missed out on a family portrait.
While the sea here didn't have the rumored 'glassy' effect, it was at least clean and suitable for kids to play in, which I really liked.

Kata Lilla TothVery dirty place. The common area for the ladies was full of trash, tables dirty and the bathroom dirty. The beds were hard, matresses very thin and for a tall person above 1.72m it is not advisable. They also have shelves at the head of the beds so if you are talles you will slam your head in those. The balcony was full of dirt and people's clothes. It was very hard to find and the front gate was locked and had to spend good amount of time with the security guards until they understood that I have a reservation. Basically these are big apartment buildings so some rooms will be in complex B, others complex C. The receptionist were kind but very disorganized. People in the common area were super unfriendly and actually rude. All in all, I don't recommend this place.
