Hotel near West Lake, Lingyin Temple Scenic Area,Hangzhou
West Lake State Guesthouse in Hangzhou is the official designated hotel where the Chinese state leaders met and hosted state dinners with foreign heads of states during the G20 Hangzhou Summit and the BRICS Leaders Meeting. The hotel is located at the heart of the West Lake Scenic Area and is therefore known as “the West Lake within the West Lake”. Nestled between the mountain and the lake, it covers an area of 360,000 m2 and a lake shoreline of over 2000 meters. All the famous tourist attractions of Hangzhou are within 30 minutes’ drive of the hotel. Staying here, guests can enjoy a close-up view of “Spring Dawn at Su Causeway” and a distant view of “Leifeng Pagoda in Evening Glow”, or walk for a few minutes to “Huagang Fish Pond” or “Quyuan Lotus Garden”.Chairman Mao Zedong drafted the first Constitution of the People’s Republic of China here. The hotel has witnessed important historic events. For example, the octagonal pavilion here was where the China-US Joint Communiqué was initialed. The hotel is elegant in style. Rooms are luxurious yet cozy with great views. The hotel is also known for hosting state dinners. For successive years Ziwei Hall has been ranked among the Top 50 Chinese Restaurants. There are sophisticated meeting facilities, yachts, concert hall, cinema, SPA as well as teahouses with distinctive local flavor. This is the perfect place to get a unique experience featuring a leisurely lifestyle at one of the world’s cultural heritage sites.

"I booked Building 2 of the Hangzhou Xihu State Guest Hotel for my parents, coinciding with their wedding anniversary. I only hoped for a quiet room with a good view, but the hotel delivered an experience far beyond our expectations! First, they actually upgraded my parents to a real panoramic West Lake view balcony room in Building 2! Opening the window in the morning, the misty West Lake and Leifeng Pagoda were right before their eyes. My parents said, 'This makes life worth living.' Second, on the day of check-in, the hotel quietly prepared a cake. This personal touch was more heartwarming than any luxurious amenity. The service throughout was incredibly professional and enthusiastic; everyone was smiling and eager to help. At checkout, they even proactively helped call a car and carried luggage, which was very thoughtful. This experience has given me a new appreciation for the State Guest Hotel. Its historical heritage, prime location, and warm service are all top-notch. We will definitely stay again, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to bring their elders to Hangzhou! 👍"

The hotel is adjacent to Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, 2 minutes' walk from Exit B of Xingang Metro Station of Metro Line 7, and it takes a short time to take one subway stop to Xiaoshan International Airport, Takes 5 stops to Hangzhou Convention and Exhibition Center by metor;and Metro Line 7 can also go directly to the Olympic Sports Center, Civic Center, Wushan Square, and the West Lake Scenic Area is also very convenient. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it is the best choice for you to rest before and after a long trip. The total area of the hotel is more than 8,200 square meters, with guest rooms, gymnasium, conference rooms, restaurants and free parking lots. Wholehearted professional service will give you a wonderful stay experience and help you get rid of the fatigue before and after your trip.

"We stayed at Holiday Inn Express, and overall we have no complaints about the hotel itself. The property is very well located — only about six minutes by car from the airport. This was exactly why we chose it: we were arriving very late, close to 1 a.m., and we were traveling with our 4-year-old child. We needed a hotel as close as possible so we could get some sleep immediately after landing. Another important criterion for us was a good breakfast, to wake up, eat, and continue our trip. The room was spacious, with a very comfortable bed and quality linens. Everything necessary was provided, and the bathroom facilities were modern and clean. However, there is one major issue that future guests should be aware of. If you arrive late at night and choose this hotel because of its proximity to the airport, please take a taxi and do not rely on the hotel’s pickup service. This was our biggest disappointment. We spent almost an hour trying to follow the directions sent to us via WeChat, but the staff were not able to provide clear instructions. They also never mentioned that the shuttle runs only once per hour at fixed times. For example, the shuttle time was 1:08 a.m., and we landed at 12:30 a.m. If the staff had simply told us that we could not make it, we would have taken a taxi immediately. Instead, we received a message at 1:07 saying “please hurry,” even though we had been walking in the completely wrong direction due to unclear guidance. Traveling with a child, we lost more than an hour and then had to wait outside even longer. Breakfast was another point of confusion. At check-in, we were told breakfast was served until 10:30. We arrived at 10:35, only to learn it actually ends at 10:00. Thankfully, the restaurant staff were extremely kind and prepared breakfast especially for us — eggs, salad, bread, yogurt for the child, and fruit. This human touch truly made a difference, and we appreciate their warm service. Overall, this is a good hotel with an excellent location, but the information about the shuttle service and breakfast times should be communicated more clearly. I hope this helps other travelers plan better. 我们入住的是 Holiday Inn Express(智选假日酒店)。

Hotel near West Lake, Lingyin Temple Scenic Area,Hangzhou
Zhejiang Xizi Hotel. Wangzhuang is located at the foot of the "Thunder Peak Sunset" mountain, one of the "Ten Scenic Spots of West Lake" in Hangzhou. To the east is the lake, to the south is the famous ancient temple Jingci, and across the lake are famous scenic spots such as "Su Di", "San Tan Yin Yue", and "Liu Lang Wen Ying". You can also overlook the north-south peaks, Baochu Pagoda, and other scenic spots, providing a panoramic view of the lake and mountains. The hotel has convenient transportation and can be reached by multiple public buses (K4, K504). Located under the Lei Feng Pagoda, the Wang Family's Old Garden is a treasure trove of feng shui with a profound history and culture. From the imperial gardens of the Southern Song Dynasty - Pingshan Garden and Cuifang Garden, the famous Qianlong Imperial Garden - Yi Garden, to the Xinhai Revolution Memorial Site - Baiyun An, it embodies a long history and is a representation of profound culture. When Wang Zixin built Wang Zhuang, there were still three historical scenic spots left in the village: the imperial fishing platform used by Emperor Qianlong during his southern tour of West Lake, which used to hold a pole and fish in the pond; Baiyun Nunnery, once the secret stronghold for revolutionaries of the Restoration Society and the Chinese Revolutionary League to overthrow the Qing Dynasty's grand plan, and the Temple for the Elderly under the Moon, which once presided over numerous marriage events for young men and women in Hangzhou, added several rare royal styles, revolutionary flavor, heroic spirit and mysterious flavor to Wang Zhuang.Zhejiang Xizi Hotel. Wangzhuang has received heads of state and has carefully designed various guest rooms. The hotel also has 9 restaurants of various types, offering delicious cuisine amidst the picturesque scenery of lakes and mountains. You can enjoy leisure and leisure. A pot of fragrant tea, two or three intimate friends, filters out urban life for you, staying away from the hustle and bustle of the world, and enjoying a leisurely life.

"I always make it a point to visit Hangzhou every year, and seeing the lush greenery by West Lake is always such a beautiful sight! Even with the bustling crowds around West Lake, you can still find a sense of peace and tranquility here. The Xizi Hotel is definitely worth considering for your stay. **Room Facilities:** The dark, reddish-brown furniture gives the room a grand and elegant feel. Welcome fruits and local snacks are neatly arranged in compartments. The bathroom has both a shower and a bathtub, though overall, it feels a bit dated. **Value for Money:** The room rate is quite steep, but considering the hotel's stunning views, excellent service, and prime location, I still think it offers good value. **Breakfast:** The selection is incredibly rich and varied, and having breakfast right by West Lake is a lovely experience. There's a mix of Western and Chinese options, plus local Hangzhou specialties. You can definitely eat your fill, but it's best to go early, as after 9 am, you'll need to get a number and wait for a table. **Bed:** Just average. **Cleanliness:** We were initially given a room on the first floor which felt quite damp, and it seemed no one had stayed in it for a while. After discussing it with them, they moved us to a second-floor room, which had much better sunlight. **Parking:** They have a dedicated parking lot. **Room View:** Our room was quite far back, so the view was mostly of the mountain behind the hotel. **Location & Transportation:** The location is incredibly convenient. Leifeng Pagoda is right next door, and you can see its full panorama from the hotel. Across the street are Jingci Temple and Prince Bay Park. Bus 1314 stops right outside and goes directly to Lingyin Temple and other attractions. If you exit through the west gate, you're very close to 'Viewing Fish at Flower Pond'. We chose to take a boat from Majiawan Pier and explored Yuangu Bay, Turtle Pond, and Three Ponds Mirroring the Moon, experiencing a different side of West Lake. However, since the hotel is quite large, it's a bit of a walk to the main entrance. **Service:** The staff proactively shared information about the hotel with us – truly a testament to its renowned reputation. We interacted most with the shuttle bus drivers. When we mentioned it was our first time staying there, both the drivers and security guards enthusiastically told us about the hotel's features. A special shout-out to shuttle driver Xiao Mu, who waited patiently in the pouring rain for us to finish taking a night photo we wanted. There's also a building manager service for Building 2, responsible for managing the entire building, including check-in arrangements and turn-down service. The staff here are very thoughtful and attentive, and they even offered us some complimentary incense. **Swimming Pool:** There's a separate, heated indoor pool. **Gym:** The gym is located in a separate area. **Complimentary Activities:** 1. At 4 PM, a hotel guide takes guests on a tour of the entire hotel, providing explanations of sites like Pearl Spring and the G20 banquet hall (which isn't accessible outside of booked events, but it's very grand). We learned about the origins of the estate, saw the self-picking Longjing tea garden, and a quiet spot for playing music. The highlight was Building 1, offering a perfect view of Leifeng Pagoda and the building's harmonious composition. The tour lasts about 40 minutes. 2. A travel photography session. Each room receives five photos, which isn't really enough. If you want photo editing, it's an additional 5 RMB. Choosing more upscale costumes costs another 100 RMB. If you truly want some good photos, you might need to spend an extra 200 RMB or so. The photographer does guide you, but the pace felt very fast, and the overall shoot didn't feel very thorough, with the photos not being particularly outstanding. This is just my personal experience, though."

Hotel near West Lake Lakeside Area,Hangzhou
"Really good hotel. Located in Mall building, occupied only some floors. Localisation is really great, very close to the Western Lake. Next to a lot of shops and restaurants, they are even in the same building (for example Haidilao on the same floor). Rooms - I have a bigger one with the city view, so it was very comfortable. There is a laundry room, mini gym and big patio with nice view (so no need to go downstairs to smoke). Breakfest - acceptable. The only one bad thing is terrible coffee on the breakfest."

"This is a great hotel, and I was very satisfied with my stay. It offers good value for money, and the room decor has a high-quality feel. It's not far from the West Lake core area. It's about a 600-700 meter walk from the subway station, but the facilities really live up to expectations in terms of quality. The hotel's elevator might be a bit older, but the interior is fine. The service was also quite good, giving off the vibe of a well-established four-star hotel."

"I chose the Grand All Seasons Hotel in Binjiang for my business trip to Hangzhou this time, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail was evident throughout. • Check-in and Public Areas: Upon entering, there wasn't the usual cramped feeling of a traditional front desk. Instead, I was guided to a tea area and offered tea, making the check-in process feel very relaxed. The corridors and lounge areas were remarkably quiet, with dark flooring and soft LED strips creating a serene, understated Oriental minimalist vibe. It immediately put me at ease, a noticeable departure from the typical All Seasons style. • Breakfast Experience: I have to highlight the breakfast! The variety was much richer than any All Seasons I've stayed at before. There was a full spread of hot dishes, freshly steamed dim sum, and a selection of salads and cold cuts. They even had more Western options like salmon and cheese. The corn and pumpkin in the steamed dishes were incredibly fresh and not at all dry or hard, and the accompanying fruit was sweet and refreshing. There were also local specialty snacks. The whole experience was very enjoyable, and you could tell they put thought into sourcing quality ingredients. • Room and Service: I stayed on a high floor, offering expansive views. The soundproofing in the room was surprisingly excellent; I barely heard any noise from the hallway at night. The gray bedding looked very sophisticated and felt incredibly soft! I managed to get a truly restful sleep despite being on a business trip. The service was also very thoughtful, without being intrusive. When I needed assistance, responses were prompt. Overall, it felt comfortable and effortless."

They also offer a shuttle service to and from the airport, and the driver was very friendly. He even called to let me know he'd be two minutes late for my pickup. The only downside is that even though the building isn't very tall, you have to take multiple elevators to reach your floor, which I found a bit inconvenient and unnecessary."
