Booked this for my parents' relaxing trip to Hangzhou. I saw on Xiaohongshu (a Chinese social media platform) that the service was top-notch. Some people even said it wasn't good, but then there were loyal fans defending it, saying 'you're talking nonsense!' 😆 I figured if a hotel could generate such devoted followers, it must be good, so I booked it without hesitation. The next day, I went to visit my parents. The hotel offers a free shuttle service from the Yunqi Bamboo Trail scenic area to the hotel. The drive through the bamboo forest, right within the scenic area, was absolutely beautiful! The entire building is said to be an old Republican-era structure. The design is very distinctive, with many picturesque spots for photos. Even though I booked the cheapest room, the view was still excellent. The complimentary welcome fruit was high-quality, including some expensive mini apples. The afternoon tea was also lovely. The staff were enthusiastic and all wore smiles, even taking the time to explain the hotel's history and origins in detail. They were also very knowledgeable about nearby restaurants and attractions. My parents were very happy with the Chinese restaurant next to the hotel as well. I'll definitely be recommending this to my friends. It was a very pleasant stay! ~~

Traveling with my parents and a preschooler, it was more convenient for the four of us to stay together, so I specifically booked a suite. It had a super large 3-meter bed and a sofa bed, which perfectly met my needs. Our butler, Anne, was incredibly thoughtful; as soon as we entered the room, we found the beds already made. Throughout our stay, she was always responsive to our requests. Besides the daily fruit, my child wanted more fruit, and to let them experience robot delivery, Anne specially sent a big bunch of grapes – truly touching! The kids' club was huge and impressive, with many staff members constantly supervising, ensuring the little one had a blast. The Chinese restaurant had delicious food; we had three different dinners there (steamed fish, fish head soup, braised dishes, chopped chili fish...) and never repeated a dish. Anne's attentiveness throughout our stay, combined with the beautiful scenery of Qiandao Lake, truly made it an all-around wonderful experience. We stayed for four nights, a deep dive into Qiandao Lake, and though the beautiful scenery and delicious food left us wanting more, we will definitely be back in autumn!

Celebrated a family birthday here and stayed at this Japanese-style hot spring hotel – the ambiance was fantastic! Our room had a private wooden tub, and they provided thoughtful amenities like steam eye masks and mugwort massage sticks. The service was excellent. We enjoyed unlimited access to the spa, Japanese food, fruits, drinks, and oden. Breakfast was also very generous. The only minor drawback was having to order takeout for lunch. We also collected stamps and redeemed them for small gifts, which really enhanced the whole experience! ♨️

After 10 years, I drove back to Qiandao Lake again. From the moment I drove into the hotel, I noticed the fantastic greenery, and the high negative oxygen ion content. Once I arrived, I found the entire peninsula was like a botanical garden. The underground parking was very convenient, with Tesla slow chargers and State Grid charging stations. The hotel grounds are huge, and they upgraded my room type. After checking in and getting back to my room, I caught a beautiful sunset. The room was over 50 square meters with a balcony, and the wooden decor made it feel very comfortable. The two-story outdoor infinity pool faces the lake, with views comparable to a beachfront hotel. The public areas like the gym, walking trails, and tennis courts are also great. There are tons of kids' activities; my 8-year-old daughter made new friends at the kids' club and played for ages. We even bumped into them at breakfast the next day and chatted for a while. Oh, and the breakfast was excellent too!

The overall experience was beyond five-star! The hotel environment is elegant and comfortable, and the staff are warm and attentive. There are so many fun activities inside the hotel that you won't get bored even if you stay all day. The exquisite afternoon tea was delicious, and taking photos on the flower boat created such a beautiful atmosphere – every shot turned out like a masterpiece. The hotel even thoughtfully provided three free travel photoshoots, and the pictures turned out incredibly beautiful. This stay was perfect, highly recommended!

The hotel's location is already exceptional, nestled on the Pailing Peninsula, with the serene waters of Qiandao Lake to the north and the Central Lake District tourist pier to the east. It's just a five-minute drive to the commercial district, making it incredibly convenient for travel, sightseeing, and business. The ample free parking also saved a lot of hassle for those traveling by car. Upon entering the hotel, the Chinese Sui and Tang style decor was elegant and grand. The lobby was spacious and bright, filled with a subtle, refreshing aroma. The staff warmly greeted us, and the check-in process was efficient and smooth. They were all smiles, patient, and meticulous throughout, and even proactively introduced us to the hotel's facilities and surrounding attractions. The first impression was simply perfect. Originally, I had booked a basic lake-view room for the client, so imagine our surprise when, during check-in, the staff informed us they could provide a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe lake-view king room! This unexpected pleasant surprise instantly brought immense joy! The upgraded room was more spacious, with a well-designed layout that showcased thoughtfulness everywhere. Opening the window revealed an unobstructed view of Qiandao Lake, with its clear blue water and scattered islands. Every photo taken was a therapeutic masterpiece. All sorts of toiletries were readily available, and every detail reflected the sophistication of a five-star hotel. What's more, the room's cleanliness was noteworthy – from the floor and desktop to the bedding and bathroom, everything was spotless, even the nooks and crannies were sparkling clean, ensuring the client had a very comfortable and reassuring stay. Beyond the impressive room, the hotel's amenities also earned high praise from the client. In the morning, they enjoyed a buffet breakfast at the Milan Western Restaurant, which offered a rich and diverse selection of Chinese and Western dishes. Freshly baked bread, local Chun'an specialties, fresh fruits, hot porridge, and pastries were all available, with fresh ingredients and excellent taste – a perfect way to start the day. During their leisure time, the client experienced the hotel's wellness hot spring pools. The 7 unique hot spring pools nestled among the pine trees each offered different benefits. Soaking in the warm spring water while gazing at the scenic beauty of Qiandao Lake was utterly relaxing for both body and mind. The hotel also boasts a gym, outdoor pool, and cycling trails. For families, the children's playground, pottery studio, and 3D children's cinema are sure to keep the little ones entertained, satisfying the needs of various guests in one go. The service throughout our stay made us truly feel the hotel's dedication. Whether it was the patient answers from the front desk staff, the meticulous attention of the housekeeping team, or the thoughtful guidance from the restaurant and hot spring area attendants, every staff member maintained a professional and enthusiastic attitude. They responded promptly when needed and proactively offered all sorts of thoughtful assistance. The client mentioned that during their stay at Brilliance, they not only experienced the natural beauty of Qiandao Lake but also felt the warmth of being truly at home. As a business booking, this experience far exceeded expectations. The complimentary room upgrade not only showed the hotel's sincerity to our client but also highlighted the Brilliance Resort's dedication to every guest. From the environment and facilities to the service and details, everything was impeccable, making it an excellent choice for a trip to Qiandao Lake. This is a highly recommended family-friendly hotel with excellent value for money. It boasts three amusement parks on-site and offers deer-themed shuttle carts for transportation within the hotel. There's a show at 9:30 AM every morning. It's conveniently located near a bus stop, or a 3-minute taxi ride will get you to the subway station, which is the starting point for its line, making it super easy to get to West Lake or the high-speed rail station. Nearby, you'll also find Xianghu Lake, a beautiful and less crowded area perfect for cycling or taking a 'little yellow duck' boat tour. The only minor downside is that breakfast could use some improvement.

The guesthouse owner provided excellent service, helping with luggage. The guesthouse environment was beautiful; the scenery must be even more stunning in summer. The facilities met basic needs, and the place was generally clean. The auntie's cooking was delicious and tasty.

I read a lot of negative reviews before coming, so my expectations weren't very high. Naturally, every experience and feeling exceeded them. First, regarding the complaints about poor hygiene and facilities, I didn't experience that at all. The room had both air conditioning and underfloor heating, so it was very warm as soon as I entered. Everywhere I went was also very clean (perhaps because Phase 3 is newer). I also didn't find the service to be poor; in fact, I felt that every staff member I encountered was very polite. As for the hot springs, the pools in Phases 2 and 3 are a bit spread out and require a shuttle bus. Aside from the most popular influencer-heavy pool, the water quality in the other pools was quite good. Objective issues: We arrived late for dinner and could only be seated in the outdoor makeshift dining area. Although there were heaters and windbreaks, it couldn't be fully enclosed, and with a slight breeze in January, it still felt a bit chilly. (Our breakfast and dinner were buffets included in the package, and the food was really mediocre. If it's not part of your package, I wouldn't recommend paying for it; there are many restaurants nearby.) Also, walking between the hot springs can be quite cold (even though the shuttle buses have curtains). Overall, my family was very satisfied, and I hope to have such a good experience again next time.

Overall stay was nice in the hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast had many western and Chinese options, which were good. Our package included indoor hot-spring experience which was suitable considering the cold weather outside. Only disappointment was 'Nausicaa of the Wind Tour Ticket' which was included in the package while booking from trip.com. In trip.com under package details it was mentioned that it was a scenic stop/park and we thought entry to that place is free but additional rides are payable. This information was absolutely misleading as after wasting lot of time, the information we received (after calling the provided contact number, talking with Hotel staff) was 'Nausicaa of the Wind Tour Ticket' was not located in or nearby the hotel but was in a totally far-off place. No clear information was provided by calling the contact number on how to use the offer as mentioned in trip.com booked package description. Either trip.com should remove that offer or provide a clear description about the location of that place, with pictures if possible, otherwise people will feel lucrative about the offer and go for the booking which actually is misleading.
