Zety Hotel (Hubin Xihu Longxiangqiao Subway Station Branch Hangzhou)
"I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The service was warm, attentive, and the staff were always helpful throughout the trip. One of the biggest highlights was the excellent location — it is very conveniently located near 西湖, making it easy to explore the area on foot and enjoy the beautiful scenery nearby. The amenities were generally good, though the hotel is still undergoing some renovations in the lobby area. Despite that, the stay itself remained comfortable and enjoyable. Overall, I would still recommend this hotel for its hospitality and fantastic location."
Qiyue Song Heritage Hotel (Hangzhou West Lake Hubei Intime Store)
"Hotel is quite centralized and near multiple malls. Easy to find food (one halal restaurant about 5 mins away) and the hotel is nearby West Lake. Received gifts from the hotel when we checked out. Only the fridge and sauna wasn't working. Would definitely come back here again."

Pagoda Hotel Hangzhou West Lake · Wulin Plaza
"The location is very convenient, the price is quite affordable, and the service is excellent. The only minor drawback is that the laundry room is very basic and doesn't provide detergent; you also have to pay to use the washer and dryer."
Lakeview Hotel Hangzhou
Riverside hotel with scenic lake views and easy access to Hangzhou’s cultural sites and West Lake.
Fillmore International Hotel Hangzhou (Xintiandi Branch)
"The room is large and spacious. Loved that the toilet and shower are separate, with a sliding door separating the toilet space from the room, though the door is still quite see-through when close to it. Location seems good, with a rather large mall located opposite the hotel, providing lots of food and drink options. For the room type we stayed in, there is a washer cum dryer, which made doing laundry super convenient. Detergent for laundry is also provided. The only issue was that on the last night, when we came back (after houskeeping), the room smelled of cigarettes. Called the front desk, and they provided an air purifier to help with the smell. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and will recommend the hotel."
Mercure Hangzhou West Lake Yuquan
"The location is fantastic, just a 10-minute walk to the botanical garden and 20-30 minutes to Quyuan Garden. The service was super nice, and the lobby was very unique; the kids got some beautiful photos there. The family room type is also incredibly kid-friendly. We'll definitely be back next time!"
The Dragon Hotel Hangzhou
"The hotel boasts an excellent location, with a subway station right outside its South Gate, making it incredibly convenient. We were there for a concert at Huanglong Sports Center, which was a mere 15-minute walk away. The hotel even provided complimentary boat tickets!"
New Century Grand Hotel Hangzhou
"Stayed for three days, and the room was tidied up promptly every day. The osmanthus scent in the closet was lovely, and there were plenty of bottled water bottles provided. Breakfast was also very rich. I'll definitely choose this place again next time."
YAGU Resort Hangzhou
"Fantastic location! Just turn left from Faxiang Road and you can hike up Nan Gao Feng, visit Yanxia Cave, and enjoy panoramic views of West Lake. The hotel's breakfast changes daily with seasonal dishes, and the fruits are incredibly sweet! They even provide aromatherapy for a better sleep in the room. Stepping out of the hotel onto Santai Mountain Road, you'll find attractions at every turn, and authentic local restaurants are all nearby. This is my top choice for a getaway! Highly recommended!"
The Amber House Hangzhou
Discover a contemporary boutique hotel that perfectly blends style and comfort. Featuring a chic, glass-enclosed indoor pool and stylish rooms in the heart of the Binjiang district, it’s the perfect home base for your next city getaway.
Wenlan Hotel Northern Hangzhou
"Pros: The environment is elegant, check-in and check-out at the front desk are quick, the room is spacious and not cramped, the bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the service attitude is excellent – every staff member greets you. Cons: Having to pay a deposit and then wait for a refund in this day and age feels quite outdated."
Banyan Tree Hangzhou
"The service was warm and welcoming, the environment was beautiful, and the breakfast was fantastic."
The Serene House
"This hotel is located within the West Lake scenic area, offering an excellent environment. Right behind it are tea plantations, making it feel like you're staying in a natural oxygen bar! It's a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. The room is spacious, comfortable, and clean. The self-service laundry facilities are very convenient, and the butler service is meticulous and thoughtful. It's also very easy to walk to the bus stop and take a leisurely ride to Lingyin Temple."
Hangzhou West Lake Orchid Retreat Resort Hotel (Wulin Square, Xianingqiao Metro Station Branch)
"My stay at the Lanshi Pan Hotel far exceeded my expectations. The front desk service was incredibly thoughtful 💙💙💙; they proactively upgraded my room for free, which instantly made a great impression. The room was meticulously cleaned; there wasn't a speck of dust on the floor or in the bathroom corners. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the 24-hour hot water had stable pressure. All the toiletries were well-stocked. The surrounding area has excellent amenities, with restaurants and shopping within easy reach. The only minor downside is that the soundproofing of the walls isn't great, and I could occasionally hear movement next door, but it didn't affect my sleep at all. The staff were gentle and efficient. For the price, it offers great value for money, and I'll definitely prioritize staying here again next time I'm in the area."
Hangzhou West Lake Zhongwei Xiangyi Hotel
A stately garden estate featuring traditional Jiangnan architecture and secluded courtyard rooms, all just steps from the West Lake shoreline.
Hangzhou Xingdu Hotel
"Fantastic stay. All the reviews were true! Classy hotel, like an old 5 star very well maintained. The staff was great! Bed was big and comfortable, complimentary laundry was handy. Surroundings are a bit traffic busy and a bit of noise come up to the room. Improving sound insulation with double windows would be fantastic. Lots of food nearby and a nice canal just out of the door can take you to the west lake in less than an hour of a beautiful stroll, or up north for local neighborhoods. Breakfast was plenty."

Merchant Marco Edgelake Hotel
Refined lakeside retreat featuring Art Deco elegance and a rooftop garden overlooking the serene waters of West Lake.
Yitel Premium (Hangzhou West Lake Lakeside Pedestrian Street)
"The room was a bit dim and dated, but the location is truly excellent, and the staff's service attitude was quite satisfactory. Overall, it's decent. Breakfast was just okay, but the main advantage is how convenient it is for getting around."
Zprime Hotel (Hangzhou West Lake Yan'an Road Hubin)
"Everything was excellent. Love to stay here and very worth it for the price. Very close to subway station Fenqi Road. 1-2 walking distance. Separate bathroom and toilet like japanese style. Bidet and heating feature. But no door or curtain for toilet 😅. Recommended for stay. ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻"

Hangzhou, Zhejiang’s capital, is known for West Lake, but it’s also a tech hub with Alibaba and is just 180 km from Shanghai. The city also has Lingyin Temple, the Grand Canal, and Longjing Village’s tea fields. As a local, I love boating in the West Lake, wandering Hefang Street for crafts and snacks, or hiking to Xixi Wetland. Come and see for yourself!
