To sum it up, this was a nearly perfect vacation, and in my opinion, if you're looking for a quiet, tranquil, and comfortable resort experience, then Banyan Tree Sanya is the absolute best in Sanya! Beyond these advantages that surpass other hotels, Banyan Tree doesn't skimp on the expected perks of a luxury brand. First, the online claims of outdated facilities are unfounded; everything is in perfect working order. Second, regarding hygiene, even with a private pool villa nestled in the rainforest, I found the cleanliness to be absolutely up to standard! I was also quite satisfied with breakfast, especially the sour and spicy seafood noodles and the egg tarts – absolutely superb! And most importantly, the service. You can tell the front desk and concierge staff are genuinely dedicated; they are very patient and communicate and resolve issues promptly. Since it was our anniversary, they even upgraded our room when available, a big thank you to our butler, Youyou, for this wonderful hospitality! Overall, this trip far exceeded my expectations, and I am extremely satisfied!

The room facilities and decor have a charmingly rustic and natural feel. As for the views, they are absolutely stunning, with rolling mountains and blue skies and white clouds that feel within reach. You can hear the rustling of the pines and the wind blowing through the leaves, and there's a panoramic view of Yalong Bay, where the sea and sky blend seamlessly. It's perfect for those looking for a quiet getaway and a close connection with nature.

The Sheraton's service and quality are consistently excellent. There's a concierge at the entrance, and the hotel staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel's environment and facilities are also fantastic. I'm not sure why some reviews mentioned it being old; the facilities seemed quite new to me. The pool was clean and clear, the beach was uncrowded, and there were plenty of towels. Breakfast offered a wide variety of Western and Chinese options. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit. After checking out, the front desk called to ask if I had received a gift, as it seemed the hotel had forgotten to provide it. They even offered to mail it to my home, which was a very thoughtful gesture.

My bestie and I specifically chose Sanya for a photo op, and the MGM Grand has tons of picture-perfect spots inside. There's a seaside lawn, a coconut grove beach – all sorts of backdrops you could ask for. On a sunny day, every shot you take has that full island vibe, with the turquoise sea and coconut trees creating a stunning backdrop. After snapping photos, we could head straight back to our room to refresh. The room had excellent lighting, which was super convenient for fixing our makeup and outfits. The hotel has everything you need for dining, entertainment, and fun, so besides taking pictures, we could also fully enjoy our vacation time, traveling and documenting our journey. It was a very fulfilling trip overall.

During leisure time, I enjoyed the breeze by the pool, took a nap, feeling leisurely and comfortable. The view was exceptionally beautiful, and every shot I took was a healing scene, allowing me to completely shed my fatigue. The entire check-in process was very smooth. The staff's arrangements were meticulous and well-executed, and the check-in衔接 was efficient and hassle-free, with no complicated procedures. The overall service experience was very pleasant. I especially want to commend staff member Xiao Die. Her service attitude was gentle and thoughtful, meticulous and thorough throughout, and she answered all my questions. Whether it was check-in guidance or responding to daily needs, she was incredibly prompt, treated guests with sincerity and patience, and paid great attention to detail. The three bedrooms and one living room offered ample space, and it was fully equipped with appliances and kitchenware, making it convenient for both travel and daily living. This was my first stay at the Yalong Bay Metropark Villa Resort. The day before my arrival, our butler, Xiao Zhao, proactively contacted me via WeChat to confirm my itinerary and inquire about any special requests. The hotel is located next to Yalong Bay Golf Course, boasting a beautiful environment with rivers winding through lush greenery. Our room had one bedroom, one living room, and one bathroom with a bathtub and kitchen. The courtyard also featured a small separate room with a sofa, air conditioning, and a double bed, comfortably accommodating two people, along with a small tea room. The private pool in the courtyard was a hit with both adults and children. The room attendant, Wang Xiaoyan, brought us water and fresh towels several times a day – excellent service! We dined at the hotel restaurant, enjoying a set meal of coconut chicken and the buffet. Restaurant manager Xu Xiaoling personally greeted us, showing genuine care and even giving a gift to our child – truly thoughtful. Breakfast was served until 11 AM and the food was quite good. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the main road, from where it's about a ten-minute walk to the Yalong Bay public beach. The beach is beautiful, but the jet ski vendors there were quite aggressive, often using megaphones to tell tourists to leave, claiming that area was exclusively for their business and telling people to go play elsewhere.

Although the Mangrove Tree Resort is an older hotel, its facilities are still excellent, clean, and tidy. The staff are enthusiastic and offer service with a smile. The hotel is situated on the picturesque Yalong Bay coastline, with coconut groves, lawns, and beach loungers, all designed to help guests relax and unwind. The Chinese restaurant offers delicious food, and the Thai restaurant is also quite good. If you're coming to Yalong Bay in Sanya, this is 100% my top choice. This year, they've introduced a new butler service, which gives you a warm, 'home-like' feeling. For anything you need, just ask your butler!

The room was amazing, very large with a huge amount of space, including a living room area and a lovely balcony. I had a beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony. The swimming pool was also great and very refreshing to use, especially in the heat. The location is good as well, with the beach only around a 5-minute walk away. However, Donghai Beach was closed during my visit, so I ended up going to other nearby beaches instead. There are a few areas where the hotel could improve. It felt very geared towards Russian tourists, and at times it seemed like they were prioritised more than others (I travelled from the UK). Also, while the pool itself was lovely, the lifeguards were not very friendly and were often sitting around smoking or on their phones, which didn’t give the best impression. The hotel is also missing a great opportunity with the bar area in the middle of the pool, which wasn’t being used at all. It would be a perfect spot to serve drinks and cocktails and really elevate the experience. Overall, it’s a nice hotel with a beautiful, spacious room and good facilities. With a few improvements to customer service and better use of its amenities, it could easily feel like a strong 4 star hotel.
