"I chose this hotel for my business trip to Shanghai because it was relatively close to my meeting location. It exceeded my expectations! The transportation is convenient, being close to the subway station, and the room was comfortable, clean, and tidy. I urgently needed to print some drawings, and the front desk staff patiently helped me find a print shop. I was really touched! 😹"

Hotel near Yu Garden Area,Shanghai
The hotel is located in the main entrance of the Yuyuan Garden archway, 1 intersection from the City God Temple, the Bund and the Old Street of the City God Temple near of the hotel, the 16 shops , the Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street , 3 minutes walk to Yuyuan Subway Station of Line 14, 8 minutes to Yuyuan Subway Station of Line 10, Lujiazui of Line 14, Line 10 of the Great World to Nanjing East Road, Xintiandi, Hongqiao Airport Railway Station, 17 minutes by car to Pudong International Convention and Exhibition Center, 25 minutes to Shanghai Stadium, 43 minutes to Pudong Airport, 47 minutes to the National Convention and Exhibition Center

"Location is very central, but the tradeoff is that it's very touristy and you can expect hawker harassment as soon as you leave the hotel. Staff was nice, but they don't offer service to your room if you need more water or delivery brought to you. Maybe they were understaffed, but for a hotel that calls itself ”luxury” you'd think they'd have a robot to deliver water/food which has become kind of the standard now in China (aren't we spoiled!). We had a balcony, but unfortunately could not go out on it. Reasonably priced place very close to the Bund, comfortable bed, decent but not anything special."

MM653749****I booked this hotel by chance and I'm really satisfied. The check-in experience was incredibly smooth and rich, with all staff members being very proactive and service-oriented. As soon as I arrived, one staff member took my luggage, while another immediately offered tea. Everything felt very organized and efficient. Staff also proactively asked if I was going to Disneyland and introduced the hotel's services, which was a very thoughtful touch. The room rates are also very reasonable and a good value. The room fee even includes supper and breakfast. The breakfast is a Western and Chinese buffet with a wide variety of choices – wontons, noodles, congee, and even many types of condiments for the congee, as well as stir-fries, cold dishes, and a good selection of bread. The variety is extensive, and the food tastes delicious. You can tell the chef is very considerate in catering to guests' different tastes. Their 'late-night bowl of noodles' is essentially the evening supper, offering wontons, noodles, and congee. Although the variety isn't huge, it was perfectly sufficient for us in the evening. My digestive system isn't great, so a bowl of congee with some small dishes and wontons at night was truly wonderful and very satisfying. The pricing is also very reasonable. I heard from the staff that there's also a shuttle service to Disneyland and Zhoupu Metro Station, which is fantastic. This makes getting around incredibly convenient and it's perfect for families with children, as there's a kids' play area in the lobby. It's really great, offers excellent value for money, and is highly recommended.

MM361034****This hotel is the absolute pinnacle, I can't even put it into words. Everything, from the facilities to the service, was a top-tier experience! They even gave us a special little gift on Christmas Eve, and the custom design on the room key card was exactly what I had hoped for – I'll cherish it forever! The food was nutritious, healthy, and delicious, and the drinks menu offered both Western and Chinese options. Celebrating Christmas here, I took so many amazing photos. This whole experience was precisely what I had envisioned for Shanghai! Every single staff member had a smile on their face and made eye contact. The foreign female manager at the Italian restaurant, in her red suit, was so chic and beautiful, and on top of that, her Chinese was incredibly fluent and authentic! When she started speaking, I actually questioned my own nationality!

DdyhxBeautiful hotel, particularly the lobby, with a classy luxury charm. Room is a good size and comfortable, clean and well maintained. Bed is firm, pillow was also comfy. Service is excellent, especially the bellboys who were very helpful with the luggage from alighting and bringing it up all the way to the room and even lifting my heaviest one onto the rack. Front Desk was also very accommodating to my requests for a room near the lifts and an extended late check out till 2pm. The water pressure in the shower is a little weak. Location is probably their biggest flaw. The nearest metro station (Line 10) is 11 mins walk away.

MM270941****Came for a relaxing vacation, and in winter, Banyan Tree's special rooms with the 'Yuexin Pool' are a top choice! The room has a heated private pool which is super comfortable. As soon as you enter the hotel, you're greeted by the scent of cinnamon essential oil; the Christmas atmosphere is really strong, and they even have craft activities. I'd definitely go back to experience it again if I get the chance. Cynthia called to check on us during check-out, which was very thoughtful. I'll choose this place again next time.

__WeChat16918****An Urban Luxury Journey Exceeding All Expectations My recent stay at the Pullman Shanghai Jing An truly made me understand the full meaning of ”five-star service.” From the moment I stepped into the hotel, every detail exuded quality and attentiveness. Unbeatable Location The hotel is ideally situated in the heart of Jing'an District, just a 5-minute walk from Shanghai Railway Station, with Metro Lines 1, 3, and 4 practically at its doorstep. This makes it incredibly convenient for reaching The Bund, the Jing'an Temple commercial area, or even the Hongqiao transportation hub. What's even more remarkable is that despite its central location, the guest rooms maintained a surprising tranquility, with double-glazed windows perfectly sealing off the city's hustle and bustle. Thoughtful Room Experience The Executive Deluxe Room I stayed in flawlessly blended modern design with practical comfort: · Floor-to-ceiling windows offered views of bustling traffic by day and dazzling neon lights by night. · The custom Sealy mattress paired with high-quality linens provided the best sleep I've had in years. · The spacious and smart bathroom featured a powerful rainforest shower and botanical scents from premium Australian toiletries, which were incredibly relaxing. · Thoughtful amenities like an air purifier and multi-functional charging ports catered to the true needs of modern travelers. Delightful Dining Experience Breakfast was unbelievably lavish: freshly made local noodles with various toppings, authentic French croissants, a fresh seafood station… The coffee quality was particularly commendable, easily on par with a professional café. The evening happy hour at the Executive Lounge not only offered a professional selection of beverages but also showcased impressive culinary skills with its exquisite snacks. Heartwarming Service Details The staff demonstrated a perfect balance of professionalism and warmth: · The front desk quickly recognized my membership status, efficiently handled check-in, and thoroughly explained the hotel's facilities. · Room service was incredibly prompt, and the turndown service not only tidied the room but also thoughtfully left a weather forecast card. · The concierge provided precise and practical recommendations for local dining and transportation, even helping me secure a reservation at a popular local restaurant. Comprehensive and Thoughtful Facilities · The 24-hour fitness center was meticulously maintained. · The constant-temperature swimming pool had crystal-clear water, and the experience was especially pleasant during less crowded times. · The business center was well-equipped, and its quiet environment was perfect for urgent work. What impressed me most was on the day of checkout. Due to a late flight, the hotel proactively extended my checkout time until the afternoon and offered luggage storage service. This kind of service mentality, where the guest's needs are genuinely prioritized, is truly rare among luxury hotels today. The Pullman Shanghai Jing An is more than just a place to stay; it feels like ”another home” for me in Shanghai. It combines the standards and quality of an international brand with a deep understanding of local guest needs. For business travelers seeking efficiency or tourists hoping to deeply experience Shanghai, this is an impeccable choice. I am already planning my next stay and will not hesitate to recommend this hotel to all my friends visiting Shanghai.

RRussellinSGLoved the service here and attention to detail. Staff were all so friendly and made us so welcome. Really outstanding! From the time we stepped out the car, all the staff made us feel so welcome. The concierge even helped me to book a late night snack on ******* then paid for it on his app when mine wouldn’t work. Really superb service! Location was great too. Short walk of maybe 8 minutes to the Dapuqiao (Line 9) station inside the Sun Moon shopping centre with lots of eateries. Very near to Tianzifang which is 15 minutes walk. Great specialty coffee cafe called Danro Coffee within 10 minutes walk. And within 5km to many major sights in Shanghai within the Huangpu area.

AAnonymous UserThanks to the front desk for upgrading us to the Grand Suite! This old building has a story to tell, with exquisite and tasteful decor that's very well maintained, making you feel like you're in an ancient European hotel suite. On the service side, the Chinese restaurant tastes good, but breakfast is too simple. Besides vegetable salad, fruit, and bread, there's just a noodle station and a few à la carte items from a menu. The quality of the breakfast definitely doesn't match the room rate, especially considering it was during the New Year's Day holiday. There were few staff members, but they were still enthusiastic. It's clear that the hotel management has declined significantly compared to over ten years ago; everything seems to be about cutting costs. For instance, in the suite, tissue paper is only available in the bathroom, not on the living room table. You barely see any housekeeping staff in the corridors, and I won't even mention many other small details. Service is the soul of a five-star hotel, and at some point, it seems to have shifted from providing a 'home away from home' experience to a simple landlord-tenant relationship. Perhaps this is the current reality for five-star hotels in China.

DDengmamaThe package deal I got was excellent value for money. The room decor was stylish and modern, and the lobby layout was quite innovative. Plus, it was super convenient to access Xintiandi directly from the hotel's entrance/exit. The breakfast spread was incredibly generous, and the local snacks tasted great. The free happy hour for guests on the first floor (6:00 PM - 7:30 PM) was fantastic, with a wide selection and excellent service 👍 I'll definitely be back for another stay! 😍

SSununhungI would have given this hotel full 5 stars if the was an unfortunate security incident. On 26 Dec, a middle aged local Chinese man followed me into the lift and looked suspicious. He didn’t tap his keycard and we out the same floor. I asked him to produce his keycard and he couldn’t and I brought him down to the reception to ask for security. When lift stopped at level 5, he tried to rush out to escape but I pulled his arm and he couldn’t. While we were waiting for someone to attend me as everyone was busy, he quickly walked briskly away. I went to look for him with hotel staff but couldn’t find him. Hotel needs to beef up their security. I would have given the hotel 1 star in service but i would to commend Allesandro Hao as he allowed us to extend our checkout time free of charge due to our flight delay of 11 hours. As such his act of good service earn the hotel an additional star.

BBaishuimuThe hotel's location is very convenient, with easy access to transportation. The rooms are clean, and the lounge team provides excellent service. It was a very pleasant stay. I booked this stay because my child had an exam and we needed a hotel close to the test center. I also specifically requested a quiet room, and the hotel was very accommodating. During our stay, the room was cleaned promptly, and the housekeeping staff were all very friendly and attentive to our needs. The hotel's 38th-floor lounge is definitely worth a visit. It offers great views and timely, attentive service. The afternoon tea selection was also very good. The ambiance is elegant, making it perfect for a casual drink or a business meeting.
