Jiming Temple in Nanjing is a treasure trove that blends the ancient charm of a thousand-year-old temple with the romance of spring. As the first of the 480 temples of the Southern Dynasties, its yellow walls and black tiles exude a profound sense of history. The entrance fee is only ten yuan, including three sticks of incense, making it excellent value. In spring, the cherry blossom avenue in front of the temple is like a cloud of rosy clouds, with fallen petals carpeting the path – every snapshot is a masterpiece of atmosphere. Climbing the Medicine Buddha Pagoda offers a panoramic view of Xuanwu Lake. Inside the temple, the wafting incense and melodious chanting create a tranquil atmosphere. However, it gets very crowded during cherry blossom season, so it's recommended to visit during off-peak times.

The entrance fee to the 鸡鸣寺 is only 10 yuan. There are a lot of people and it's very beautiful. There are a lot of statues for us to worship and there's also a place to throw incense. I forgot what it's called. 😅 P.S. The actual place is very beautiful (the day we took the picture, the sky was very cloudy and rainy).

One of the must-see attractions in Nanjing ~ There are crowds of people. It's a pity that it's too late. The cherry blossoms in front of Jiming Temple must be more beautiful in March. Now there are only a few flowers.

Although my WeChat reservation didn't work well, as a foreigner, I showed my passport and purchased my ticket on-site. This is the Presidential Palace, where Chiang Kai-shek of the Kuomintang stayed, followed by the Wang Jingwei government, and later taken over by the Communist Party. Seeing the Five-Starred Red Flag hanging at the entrance, it seemed this place also served as a victory monument for the Communist Party after winning the Chinese Civil War. I looked around every nook and cranny, spending a long time gazing at Sun Yat-sen's plaque inscribed "The World Belongs to the Public." I mainly identified traces of Sun Yat-sen and Chiang Kai-shek. Although I was sweating profusely—perhaps because the weather is still hot—the sky was clear and the photos turned out well.

Staying in a small fishing village by the sea is most enjoyable when listening to the waves at night. There are no city neon lights, only the crashing waves against the shore. Strolling through the village, the wind carries the salty moisture of the sea, and stalls selling freshly grilled seafood line the roadside. Buy some and savor it slowly, looking up at the starry sky. Sitting on the rocks, lost in thought, listening to the waves, all anxieties are washed away, and the heart calms down, moving at an unnatural pace.

If you don't like traveling by tourist attractions, rent a bicycle and ride slowly along the road. The wind blows past your ears, and fields or forests recede on both sides. When you get tired, stop by the roadside to rest; when you see a beautiful view, stop to take pictures. There's no need to rush, no need to think about where to go next, just follow the wind. This aimless freedom is something you can never get from squeezing onto the subway or sitting in the office. Every meter the wheels roll is a moment of personal joy.

What I love most about traveling is aimlessly wandering around, without a checklist, without time constraints. When I get tired, I find a small teahouse by the street, order a cup of local tea, and watch the pedestrians stroll by. The cats in the shop curl up on the windowsill, basking in the sun. The wooden boardwalk stretches deep into the wetlands, where swathes of reeds float on the water, their white fluff swaying in the wind. Waterbirds flap their wings and fly out from the reeds, skimming the water and creating ripples. Looking through binoculars, flocks of migratory birds land on the mudflats, tilting their heads to preen their feathers, occasionally letting out a clear call. The wind, carrying cool, damp air, blows by, and all is quiet except for the sounds of birds and the wind. My heart slows down, filled with a relaxed joy.

The Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum in Nanjing moved me far beyond what I expected. Climbing the 392 steps, I felt as if each one carried the weight of Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s lifelong struggle for a better China. Every time I return from a trip, I'm filled with a soft spot in my heart. I didn't buy many expensive souvenirs, just pretty stones I picked up by the roadside, extra candies given to me by vendors, a bunch of unedited photos on my phone, and a bellyful of heartwarming encounters. These small, beautiful moments will surface during those later days when I'm working overtime to the point of collapse. Thinking back to the wind I felt and the candies I ate, I can gather my strength again and keep going.

The hotel's location is superb, close to Xinjiekou and directly opposite Deji Plaza, making it incredibly convenient for getting around by taxi, dining, and taking the subway. During our National Day stay, it felt like the entire hotel management team was mobilized, responding quickly and kindly, without any sense of chaos. In the restaurant, the staff were quick to clear and set tables for breakfast, and on both mornings, we received special meal accommodations. Auntie Dong Chunhong from the restaurant even proactively asked if we needed anything, making us feel incredibly welcome. Everyone agreed that we would choose this hotel again on our next visit to Nanjing.

The Jinling Hotel Asia Pacific Tower is located in the heart of Xinjiekou. Deji Plaza is right outside, and it's very convenient to take the subway. It's not far from the Presidential Palace and Nanjing Museum, about a 20-yuan taxi ride, making sightseeing very easy. The hotel has a more classic design, with warm yellow lighting and wooden interiors. From the high-floor, floor-to-ceiling windows, you can overlook the city. The bedding is comfortable, and the soundproofing in the rooms is good. As an established five-star hotel, the service is excellent. Check-in at the front desk was efficient. Staff escorted us from the Jinling Tower to the Asia Pacific Tower and thoughtfully introduced us to the dining options around the hotel. Breakfast is on the 56th floor and includes their signature Jinling steamed buns and duck blood vermicelli soup. On the 4th floor, there's a pool and gym, both free to use. I needed a firm pillow, and the hotel provided one upon request. When housekeeping cleaned the room, they specifically arranged our skincare products neatly on a small towel. Any requests were responded to quickly.

The hotel's location is excellent; it's a three-minute walk right after exiting the subway station. I chose this hotel because I wanted to visit the Deji Art Museum, which is also very close, less than a 15-minute walk away. Plus, it's located within the Golden Eagle shopping mall, making dining and shopping very convenient. The room facilities are quite new, and the bedding is comfortable. The front desk staff who checked us in were very friendly. However, I felt it might have been due to the summer holiday and a weekend, making them quite busy. It seemed like there were some issues with their operational flow. After dropping off our luggage in the room, we went out. Since I had water in my bag, I didn't notice that there was no complimentary water in the room. We returned to the hotel at 9:40 PM and discovered the room had no water. We called the front desk, and it wasn't delivered until just after 10 PM. I originally planned to give my child a bath in the tub. While scrubbing the bathtub, I found a few body hairs from a previous guest. I endured the disgust to finish scrubbing, only to find that the water wouldn't drain. After removing the stopper, it took almost half an hour for even the small amount of water from scrubbing to drain. I mentioned it to the floor staff, who said she was busy and could have a maintenance person look at it. Considering it was already past 10 PM, I decided to just let it go and not give my child a bath. The breakfast selection was a bit limited, which was a little surprising.

The front desk then explained that the photos on Ctrip were of non-executive floor rooms that had been renovated, and that my room was on an executive floor with executive lounge access. I still don't quite understand the discrepancy. Room facilities: The lack of a luggage rack was inconvenient, and no power outlets by the bedside table was also a bit bothersome. Hygiene: There was a squashed mosquito from a previous guest on the wardrobe glass, and some leftover liquid on the hand soap bottle.

For my two-day, one-night trip to Nanjing, I stayed on the Executive Floor of the Westin Nanjing Xuanwu Lake, and overall, I had a great experience. The hotel's location is excellent; Xuanwu Lake is right across the street, and since the rooms are on the 23rd floor and above, it feels like most rooms offer lake views. There's a shopping mall and a subway station downstairs, making it very convenient for sightseeing and dining. I heard the hotel hasn't been renovated in nearly 20 years, but the rooms are exceptionally well-maintained, so it doesn't feel old at all. The Basque cheesecake at the Executive Lounge's happy hour was truly delicious and left a deep impression on me. I'd like to specially thank customer manager Sunnie. She proactively contacted me before my check-in to understand my needs in advance. After checking in, when I asked if children's dental kits could be provided, her response was incredibly fast – almost instantaneous. She even provided extra children's toiletries, which was a very thoughtful service. The only slight drawback is that there aren't many seats in the Executive Lounge, so during holidays when it's busy, you might have to queue. However, the hotel is quite considerate in this regard; they allow you to take your food back to your room, which effectively solves the seating crunch. Overall, this stay was a great experience. The service was excellent, the lake view was a big plus, and getting around was convenient. I would definitely consider this hotel again on my next visit to Nanjing.

Let's start with the hotel's praiseworthy aspects: 1) The environment is truly exceptional. Situated within Laoshu Mountain Forest Park, it's pristine, embracing nature with birds singing and flowers blooming, and dense vegetation. You feel instantly relaxed upon entering! 2) The hotel space is very large and boasts a fantastic design – it's beautiful! 3) The room is very quiet, and the bedding is comfortable and conducive to sleep. 4) The staff are warm, friendly, patient, and attentive! Now for the areas that need improvement: 1) As shown in Figure 8, there are too many sharp corners on the countertop in the shower room. This space isn't very large to begin with, and these sharp corners are a clear safety hazard. I hope this can be addressed and rectified as soon as possible. 2) As shown in Figure 9, the vanity is a bit small. There's no suitable place to put skincare products or cosmetics, so they end up getting splashed with water near the faucet. I suggest adding a shelf above the faucet. 3) Breakfast was a bit disappointing. I understand that the hotel might not have many guests, but if they could improve either the quantity or quality of the dishes, it would definitely boost their reputation.

The air conditioning in the room was central AC and a bit too cold. Since it couldn't be adjusted, I asked the staff for an extra blanket. Luckily, the weather wasn't too hot, so turning off the AC before bed made the temperature just right. Special thanks to our butler, Xiao Xia, for her thoughtful and attentive service. She coordinated our itinerary in advance and provided a detailed introduction to the hotel and surrounding area. Check-in was efficient upon arrival. We booked the Misty Rain Twin Room package, which was very convenient and close to the lobby. The hotel is located within a Jiangnan garden, far from the city's hustle and bustle. The environment is superb, with the sounds of insects and birds, and fresh air. The shuttle service into the scenic area was incredibly convenient. The room was spacious, with two 1.35m beds that we could push together, so we didn't have to worry about the child falling off. The separate wet and dry bathroom, the scenic floor-to-ceiling windows, and the balcony were particularly impressive. Watching the scenery from the room on a rainy day truly lived up to the name ”Misty Rain Room.” Whether it was borrowing items, booking the shuttle, or requesting a late check-out, our butler Xiao Xia handled everything quickly and properly. She was reliable in her work and genuinely kind to guests. We used the dinner included in the package; the vegetables were very fresh, suitable for both the elderly and children, and the fruit was exceptionally delicious. Breakfast offered a rich variety, and parking in the underground garage was convenient, making our travels stress-free. The children's playground was spacious, and the pool was very clean, making the little ones incredibly happy. The noodles from Hu Ji Noodle House, included in the package, were also delicious. The stir-fried shredded pork with green peppers, freshly made by the auntie, was so fragrant that my child and I ate every last bit. Our butler, Xiao Xia, provided meticulous care throughout our stay. Her service was delicate and warm, perfectly embodying a five-star service standard. This vacation was relaxed and pleasant, without any unpleasant incidents. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. The hotel is about a 7-8 minute walk from the subway station. We didn't take the subway, but there's a bus stop nearby, not far from the hotel entrance. A taxi to Nanjing South Station wasn't expensive, under 20 RMB for a 20-minute ride, so pretty affordable. Xiao Gao at the front desk was very diligent and responsible. We arrived at the hotel around 3 PM, and she promptly checked if our room was ready, upgraded our room type, and even gave us free breakfast for signing up as a member – we really appreciated that. The room was quite spacious. Although it faced a street, it was surprisingly quiet with the windows closed, so the soundproofing of the windows and doors was quite good. The washing machines and gym are on the 9th floor. You have to take the elevator to the 8th floor, walk through some guest rooms, and then take the stairs up, which is a little inconvenient. Also, the air conditioning on the 9th floor wasn't on, and washing clothes seemed to take 30 minutes. There were quite a few guests doing laundry in the evening, so waiting in that stuffy environment was a bit uncomfortable. The complimentary breakfast was good, with plenty of choices. On the second morning, I remembered that coffee was included and they made me a fresh-ground coffee, which was really nice and tasted much better than coffee from an automatic machine. The only downside was that there were some small mosquitoes or flies hovering around and even landing on the cold dishes, fruits, and bread. I feel this is an area for improvement. I stayed at five other hotels of similar or even slightly lower quality on this trip and never encountered this issue. However, I did see a staff member diligently taking photos of the restaurant and food, so I hope they're monitoring the situation and will pay attention to this in the future, as my family really likes your hotel and we hope to stay again. Additionally, there's an Old City South restaurant downstairs that serves good food. Across from the hotel, there's also a takeaway shop where you can buy Qingtuan and other snacks, which is very convenient.

Overall, it offers great value for money with no major complaints. When traveling, feeling safe and comfortable is paramount, and this hotel is worth recommending. I would consider staying here again on future visits.

Extremely satisfied with this trip. Facilities: The room was very clean, practically dust-free. The shower room was also spotless, with no water stains. The suite had two toilets and two sinks, one shower and one bathtub. The facilities were comprehensive. (It would have been perfect with a shoehorn!) Service: Excellent. Requests for water or blankets were responded to very quickly. The view from the window was half lake and half city, with large floor-to-ceiling windows offering a superb vista. The afternoon tea desserts at the executive lounge were exquisite, and the evening snacks were also delicious. Breakfast was a semi-buffet, semi-à la carte style, and the lounge directly overlooked Xuanwu Lake, making for a great experience. This hotel is definitely worth experiencing! I'll come again next time.

First, the advantages: the villa area has a fantastic environment, lush and green, very comfortable. Even in summer, there weren't many mosquitoes (probably because mosquito coils were lit at the entrance). The shuttle bus was also quite punctual, and they delivered anything we needed promptly after a phone call. I especially want to mention that the children's toothbrushes provided were quite good, not the cheap, disposable kind, because we had a child with us. The staff, whether from the restaurant, the front desk, or the driver, were all very friendly. Then, there are a few things I was more concerned about and less satisfied with. One is the lack of laundry facilities; there was no laundry room (I called to inquire and found out there wasn't one), and the villa itself didn't have a washer or dryer, which was quite strange—it's the first time I've encountered a resort hotel without such facilities. Secondly, the small balcony seemed to have been neglected for a long time. Because there was nowhere else to hang clothes, I hung them on the balcony railing, and when I touched it, it was covered in rust and dust. I think when staying in a hotel, you should just throw away clothes you're not sure you'll wear, so these things are quite necessary.

I came to Nanjing for Jay Chou's concert and decided to stay at this hotel. Its location is great, close to the subway station, and the Qinhuai River is within walking distance. The hotel is connected to the Aqua City shopping mall and even has a heated swimming pool, which was perfect for passing the time during the heavy rain these past two days. Although the hotel has been open for quite a while, it's still well-maintained. The staff are very friendly; the front desk even upgraded my room, and the service staff delivered towels and bottled water quickly. I didn't try the breakfast, so I can't comment on it. Overall, it's excellent value for money and definitely worth staying at.

The hotel's exterior design is very stylish. The unique concave and convex marble walls in the lobby are quite striking. The rooms are incredibly spacious, and the food at the 40th-floor restaurant is delicious. It's only about a 100-meter walk from the Poly Theatre, which is extremely convenient if you're catching a show. The front desk staff were also very helpful and provided excellent service.

Staying at the Golden Eagle International Hotel in Nanjing consistently delivers high-quality service, making it my fixed first choice for accommodation whenever I'm in Nanjing. Its location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Xinjiekou, very close to the interchange station for Metro Lines 1 and 2, saving time and effort when commuting to the train station and major attractions. The shopping mall downstairs covers all daily necessities. Room hygiene is always consistent; whether it's peak or off-peak season, the cleaning standards never drop. The bedding is soft, and the bathroom is clean and sparkling. After multiple stays, I can feel the staff's dedication; the cleaning auntie always neatly arranges my personal belongings. Late at night, any requests are patiently handled by customer service. The high-floor city views are endlessly captivating, and the service is genuinely sincere and not commercialized, without any tricks, just thoughtful and attentive. When I accidentally spilled a drink on the sheets, the auntie promptly helped clean it up. I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Nanjing.

The air conditioning was great, really cooled the room down. Plus, the room had its own power-on card, and the front desk staff were very friendly. The sheets were also clean; at some hotels, you can see hair on the mattress through the sheets, but I checked here and there wasn't any 🙂↔️ The only downside was the shower area, which was a bit small and made it hard to turn around, but everything else was fine.

Overall, the location is excellent. It's right next to Exit 1 and Exit 2 of Xuanwu Lake Station on Line 1. Exit 1 feels a bit closer. Walking a few minutes down the road directly opposite the hotel leads you to the entrance of Xuanwu Lake Scenic Area. You can enjoy beautiful views from the hotel's 20th-floor restaurant. The hotel is said to be the second one built in Nanjing after the founding of New China, so it has a long history. The room decor definitely feels dated, and the showerhead is quite old-fashioned. The staff also have a strong state-run enterprise vibe. Some of the restaurant staff are, frankly, a bit below industry standards in appearance, and their service enthusiasm is low (though it might be due to the hot weather). However, the room service response time is decent, and they offer late check-out. Now for the good parts: the breakfast truly exceeded expectations. They even had stewed pork trotters and salted pig trotters. Although it's advertised as a revolving restaurant, only the inner circle rotates; the outer seats are fixed. And about the complimentary afternoon tea, don't get your hopes up. It's very mediocre, just something to have while resting your feet (the last picture is the afternoon tea, for one person). Also, a twin room with breakfast on a summer weekend cost nearly 770 RMB, which isn't exactly economical.
