"This was my first time travelling solo, this hotel not only surpassed all expectations in terms of all the things a high class hotel should offer, but the staff at the front door and in the lobby always greeted me with smiles and welcomed me 👍🏾. The location was great too, close to the bund and very walkable, there are pharmacies and convenience stores nearby if you need anything. "The location is an absolute banger! Beside nanjing road, major stores, plenty of attractions close by. You can walk to the bund in 10 mins. The hotel itself is decently good. The room is clean and amenities are available. Breakfast was decent, you get what you pay for. Then again, there are many other food choices outside. Getting halal was very easy."

Intercity Hotel Shanghai Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street The Bund
"Our stay at this hotel was absolutely amazing. The rooms were exceptionally clean, brand new, and incredibly functional with impressive modern technology - from automated lighting controls to opening and closing the curtains, everything felt smart, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. It truly felt like we were staying in a very new hotel, possibly not even a year old yet. We especially loved the beautiful interior design, which created such a fresh and elegant atmosphere throughout our entire stay. What truly made this experience exceptional, however, was the outstanding professionalism of the staff. Even compared to many five-star hotels, the level of service here was remarkable. Every team member was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. A very special thank you to Manager Jade for her kindness, friendliness, and incredible support with every question we had. She made our stay even more comfortable and memorable. We stayed for 5 days, and every single day we genuinely enjoyed the cleanliness, professionalism, and overall high standards of this hotel. We would also like to specially highlight the breakfasts - served in a beautiful bright space with a wonderful atmosphere. The variety of European breakfast options was excellent, the products were fresh and high quality, and the breakfast staff were consistently warm and welcoming. We are truly happy that we chose to stay here and would absolutely recommend this hotel to others."
Pujing Waiting Hotel (Shanghai People'S Square Xinzha Road Subway Station)
"The whole family had took really long time to sort out which hotel to stay and finally came down to this one which was located in a quiet area, but came with many many convenient stores and eateries. Most importantly, it’s just walking distance to the train station and some of the shopping areas. Not to mention, the hotel staffs were helpful and easy to communicate with, cleaners were well mannered and helpful too. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, nothing to complain about."

Atour Hotel Shanghai Bund Landmark Plaza
"Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel’s location is excellent, and most of the staff were warm, helpful, and hospitable. We checked in on 31 May during what appeared to be a peak period. There was one young lady and two young gentlemen at the reception. We understand that busy check-in periods can be challenging, but the young lady who assisted us came across as rather unfriendly. We also noticed some inconsistency in guest service during check-in—some guests were offered welcome drinks, others received bottled water, while we were not offered either. This was not a major issue for us, but consistency in service would help ensure all guests have a similar experience. On a positive note, the tall young gentleman who helped us locate our packages was exceptionally kind, polite, patient, and professional. His assistance was greatly appreciated and left a very positive impression. During check-out on 2 June, there was a minor incident involving a gift box we were carrying. The staff member handling our luggage accidentally knocked the box against the edge of the reception counter, resulting in a small chip to the box. She apologised and kindly offered two small gifts as compensation, which we declined as the box was intended as a gift for someone else. We appreciated the apology, but it would be beneficial for staff to exercise greater care when handling guests’ belongings. This review is not intended as a complaint but as constructive feedback. With a little more consistency in service standards and attentiveness, the guest experience could be even better. Thank you for an otherwise pleasant stay, and we look forward to returning in the future."
Atour Hotel Shanghai Bund Yuyuan Subway Station
"High-tech meets efficiency and comfort! What impressed me most about this stay was how 'fast' and 'thoughtful' everything was, especially the robot delivery service – truly futuristic. **Location & Transportation:** The hotel is conveniently located right across the street from the subway exit. There are plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, and a shopping mall nearby. **Room & Environment:** The front desk staff were also excellent! The room was even brighter than in the photos, instantly making me feel relaxed. The mattress provided great support without sinking in, and the soundproofing was good, ensuring a very deep sleep. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and both water temperature and pressure were consistently stable. **Service Highlight: Robot Delivery:** The robot calls your room to announce its arrival, and its screen displays your room number and a "Please collect your order" message. No need to wait for human staff, it's incredibly fast. I saw several robots scurrying down the hallway, making it feel like a hotel of the future – fun and efficient. I even had a charging cable and extra slippers delivered by a robot when I needed them, so I wasn't worried about getting hungry in the middle of the night. The room comfort was top-notch, and the robot delivery was both fast and novel, completely eliminating any waiting anxiety. The price wasn't expensive, but the experience felt very advanced. I'd definitely choose this hotel again when I bring friends, so they can also experience the joy of being served by robots. Highly recommended for anyone who values efficiency and a fresh, new experience – you won't be disappointed!"
Shanghai SK Lusso Hotel (People's Square, Nanjing Road Walkway)
A modern hotel in central Shanghai, offering comfortable, contemporary rooms with easy access to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and The Bund, making it the perfect home base for shopping, dining, and sightseeing.
Yun He Ye Bo Hotel (Shanghai Wuning Road Global Harbor)
"Overall, the stay was excellent. The hotel was clean, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. It’s a great choice for travellers looking to avoid crowded and noisy areas while still enjoying a truly relaxing stay. Getting around was convenient with DIDI, making it easy to travel anywhere in Shanghai. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Shanghai."
UrCove by Hyatt Shanghai on the Bund
"The Urcove by Hyatt shanghai on the Bund is an absolute gem for travelers looking for a perfect blend of comfort and convenience. The rooms are modern, immaculately clean. I was particularly impressed by the professional and welcoming staff who went above and beyond to ensure a seamless stay. Its prime location makes exploring the Bund and nearby attractions incredibly easy, saving plenty of travel time."
MaxX By Steigenberger on the Bund Shanghai
"First, the positives: the view was excellent, the bedding comfortable, and it offered good value for money. The service was also prompt in responding to issues. Now for the negatives: the hygiene was really poor. There was a visible, thick layer of dust on the floor, next to the bathtub, and on the cabinets. It felt like the room hadn't been cleaned in two weeks. Luckily, after I reported it, they immediately moved me to a new room, which was much cleaner. Secondly, the wallpaper on the TV wall had a long, unsightly wrinkle, which made it look a bit cheap. Also, the showerhead in the bathroom was fixed and couldn't be adjusted, making showering very uncomfortable. There's a clear difference compared to a Waldorf Astoria, but then again, the price reflects that. Overall, it was an average stay, neither outstanding nor terrible."
SAVHE Hotel North Bund Shanghai
"The service was excellent, and the staff were very polite and helpful. Is located at north bund and requires crossing a bridge to The bund, but overall the stay was comfortable and pleasant."
Hengshan Garden Hotel
"The location is excellent, nestled in the historic Hengfu district, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. The International Protestant Church is just to the front left, Xujiahui Park is diagonally opposite, and the EMI building, where the national anthem was first recorded, is right here. The executive floor facilities are a bit dated, but generally well-maintained. Dining is convenient with a Chinese restaurant, buffet, Shanghainese dim sum, and self-service afternoon tea available within the hotel – no need to venture out for food if you're not planning to visit attractions. The hotel also boasts extensive gardens and green spaces. The neighboring VIP building has a very stylish decor, and on the 8th floor, there's a 'Modern Pictures' postcard art exhibition worth visiting."
JOYA Hotel Shanghai Lujiazui
"Overall, a pretty good hotel experience! We booked the Songya River View Room and added an extra bed; the view was lovely! Lucie proactively contacted us the day before to confirm details and requests. She arranged for two complimentary breakfasts for the child, had the extra bed set up in the room beforehand, and there were welcome fruits too! Very thoughtful and considerate! Thank you, Lucie!"
Shanghai Garden Rezen Hotel
"Fantastic, family-friendly hotel with exceptional amenities and service! We had a highly pleasant and happy stay at the Shanghai Rezen Garden Hotel from May 31st to June 3rd. It is an incredibly convenient and family-friendly place to stay, especially for foreign travelers. The Room: Our room was very large, spotlessly clean, and featured convenient automatic curtains and toilets. It also included a comfortable sofa bed, which easily accommodated our family. The hotel thoughtfully provided kid-sized slippers and toothbrushes, which was a lovely touch. The main bed was quite spacious, though the mattress comfort level could be slightly improved. Additionally, the shower head spray was a bit too strong for young children, so a softer pressure option would be a great upgrade. The Food: The breakfast buffet offers a wonderful spread of both traditional Chinese and international options. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the menu, and a huge plus for families is that breakfast is free for children under 1.3 meters! I personally highly recommend the cream puffs and fresh soy milk—they were absolutely delicious. The Amenities (A Huge Plus!): The amenities here are superb! Having a supermarket right inside the hotel was a major highlight for us as foreigners; it quickly became our go-to spot for daily breads, drinks, and snacks. On top of that, there is a great souvenir shop on Level 1 that sells Disney merchandise (perfect if you want to grab a Disney hat or last-minute gifts) and they even provide stroller rentals, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel also features an indoor playground with unlimited access for the kids. This gave us a much-needed breather to relax in the lobby and organize our daily itinerary while the children were happily entertained. Furthermore, the lobby hosts a helpful tour agent and coordinates multi-destination shuttles that make us want to return on our next trip to Shanghai. To top it off, the 24-hour Chinese restaurant serves delicious food delivered right to your room by a robot, which the kids absolutely loved. The Service: Truly awesome. The coordination for the airport, Disney, and zoo shuttles was seamless. The cleaning auntie was incredibly kind and proactively provided extra bottled water for our family. A special shout-out to the front desk team: I forgot my vitamins, and they went above and beyond by helping me purchase them via ******* and delivering them to my room-door in less than 45mins. I appreciated this so much! Overall, we had a fantastic experience and highly recommend this hotel to families visiting Shanghai!"
Holiday Inn Shanghai International Resort by IHG
"Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The room was spotless and very clean, and the surrounding scenery was lovely. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious. We also really enjoyed the mini hotpot in the evening – it was a unique touch!"
Radisson Collection Hotel,Xing Guo Shanghai
"The super king-sized bed was incredibly comfortable, especially the mattress – I loved it. The hotel is housed in an old building with beautiful grounds, offering picturesque views everywhere you look, including several large lawns where you often stumble upon weddings. The dining hub is about a 20-minute walk away, and the popular Wukang Road, a trendy spot for photos, is less than 10 minutes from here. If you're a repeat visitor to Shanghai and are tired of staying by the Huangpu River, this place is a must-try – it has a very distinct 'Shanghai vibe'."
Shanghai Xujiahui A.T.HOUSE Jia Di Hotel
"Excellent hotel! Spacious lobby, good location and superb service. Hotel is also very clean and modern. Top choice hotel in Shanghai!"

"everything was great,i arrived there on my birthday and they provided a piece of a cheesecake, staff is friendly and there’s even a robot deliverer in the hotel, definitely would love to stay there again ❤️"

MGM Shanghai West Bund
"Stayed here for a business trip, and the whole experience was hassle-free. The hotel facilities are well-maintained and feel new, and the room's soundproofing is excellent, allowing me to get a good rest after a busy day. Cici confirmed my check-in time in advance, making the process very smooth. She also patiently answered all my questions. The service was thoughtful and professional, making for a very pleasant stay."
JOYA Hotel Shanghai Gubei
"Booked this last minute last night and had a great experience! The bed was really comfortable, the room was bright and spacious. The front desk staff were very friendly and understanding, and they even upgraded my room last night – what a pleasant surprise!"
IntercityHotel Shanghai Xujiahui
"The room was actually quite small and cramped, and there was dust on the hangers. It's very convenient as it's close to the subway station. However, during my two-night stay, the road downstairs was being repaved, which was incredibly noisy. Being close to the elevated highway also added to the noise. On the positive side, the breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes and styles. My biggest complaint, by far, is the incredibly long wait for the elevators. I've never encountered such slow elevators in a hotel before. This definitely warrants a negative review."
