RR.TeoLocation is a big plus here — right next to the convention center, a shopping mall with tons of dining and shopping options, and DiDaDi outdoor theme park is literally just outside the hotel. The kids loved it and kept themselves busy the whole time.
Rooms were great and the outdoor bathtub was a nice bonus. We had a minor hiccup with the AC going out overnight, but the manager was super responsive and got us moved to a new room without any hassle since the technician wasn’t around over the weekend. Really appreciated that.
Free breakfast and supper are both included, and honestly both were really good — plenty of variety and everything tasted great.
Oh, and don’t sleep on the hotel’s rooftop photo shoot. The views up there are stunning and it’s a proper must-do during your stay.
All in all, a really enjoyable stay. Highly recommend!

XXianggenのshanはtianxiaのxianThe biggest pleasant surprise of my Kunming trip was definitely the Dianyu Healing Hotel. It's conveniently located near Daguan Park and boasts excellent facilities: a clean outdoor pool, a gym, and complimentary self-service laundry and drying. They even offer daily sound bowl healing sessions and morning yoga. The front desk staff, especially one young man, provided meticulous service; check-in was efficient, and he proactively shared sightseeing routes for Dianchi Lake. Even food deliveries were brought to the room by a robot! The breakfast spread was a rich mix of Western and Chinese options. The lobby has a serene, Zen-like atmosphere, and cleanliness was impeccable everywhere. The self-service laundry and sound bowl healing were incredibly relaxing for both body and mind. Plus, parking was convenient, and the room had excellent soundproofing, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. Overall, my stay was comfortable and relaxing from start to finish. I highly recommend this place for anyone vacationing in Kunming!

AAnonymous UserPerfect location in a walkable tree-lined neighborhood, where there are lots of upscale restaurants and bars and cafes. The hotel isn’t the newest and could use a touch-up in places but very interesting design, cool artwork in the lobby, huge rooms. A couple machines for laundry and gym on top floor. Service at the reception was super helpful. Breakfast is in a restaurant that is a German beer place during the day and night. Selection is modest but sausages and delicious broth and noodles, the bread could have been more fresh. Would stay here again.

PPowaluodichideguoThis newly opened downtown hotel, built in 2025, is a gem! It's just a 3-minute walk to Kunming Old Street, Shuncheng, and Jinma Biji Archway. Plus, there are tons of amazing food options nearby, making it the perfect base for any food-loving adventurer.
The entire room features smart controls, and the bedding is incredibly comfortable. While the hairdryer isn't a Dyson, the Laifen is still excellent. We even received complimentary welcome fruit upon arrival, and the minibar is entirely free.
The concierge was proactive in helping with our luggage, and the views from our 28th-floor room, overlooking the city lights at night, were stunning. The 24-hour gym is a huge plus, allowing me to work out whenever I wanted – a truly thoughtful amenity.
Many star-rated hotels are still stuck with traditional satellite TV, so it was a delight to find that this one offers screen mirroring that works seamlessly. The smart entertainment system is a standout feature, and I give it a big thumbs up! (*≧∪≦)👍🏻
Now, let's talk about breakfast: The selection of Chinese and Western dishes is extensive, including many authentic Yunnan specialties. The rare pea flour, kumiss, five-color glutinous rice, and flower cakes were all outstanding and delicious. My only regret is not getting to try the Eggs Benedict – a slight disappointment.
The restaurant service was exceptional. The staff were friendly and attentive, proactively guiding us to our table. They even offered coffee to go, cleared plates promptly, and provided warm and thorough service throughout. This truly enhanced my experience.
Justin Liu deserves a special mention for his proactive enthusiasm and prompt responses. Five stars!

IirisThe hotel is conveniently located near Haigeng Dam, and as soon as you step in, it feels like a Banyan Tree resort, with lush tropical plants, fountain courtyards, and especially the stunning large palm trees. The room is very spacious, and the decor has a great sense of quality. The bedding is comfortable, and the toiletries are Byredo Blanche, which shows excellent taste. The breakfast is rich, especially the delicious rice noodles – just make sure to go early as it gets crowded. The service is exceptional, especially Nina, who, knowing we were traveling with a child, installed two bed rails and prepared many baby essentials for us. It was incredibly thoughtful, and we are very grateful. The rice noodles at Xiangdao Xuan Chinese restaurant are so authentic; both the chicken soup and ingredients are excellent. This was a truly satisfying stay, and InterContinental will definitely be my first choice when I return to Kunming.

The lighting and ventilation were excellent, and the mattress had just the right firmness, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. The staff were all very polite and gentle, and both check-in and check-out were handled very efficiently. It's conveniently located near dining and shopping options, and the soundproofing was good, so it was quiet and peaceful at night. We couldn't find any faults with the hygiene, service, or environment, and it was also convenient for our child to do homework. We had a comfortable stay and highly recommend it.

GGuest UserThe hotel environment is fantastic, right next to Yulongwan Park. There's a small path leading to the back entrance of the park, and it's lush with greenery, making the air really fresh. The front desk staff (especially the young lady) was super friendly and provided excellent service. The room was spacious, and all the drinks in the minibar were complimentary. It also had a balcony, perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying a cup of tea – super relaxing!

GGuest UserThis hostel in Kunming offers incredible value for money! The common areas are huge, and the terrace view is absolutely stunning. It's so comfortable to sunbathe during the day and enjoy the breeze at night. The place is cleaned very diligently, and the bedding is fresh and odorless. The staff at the front desk are all super enthusiastic and proactively recommend local snacks and travel routes. As a solo traveler, I felt completely safe and secure here!
