Kunming Hotels with Bars

This time I stayed here after being at the convention center branch, and the difference is truly stark. While the Wanda Xishan store has good hardware, the soft services and management approach are frankly incomprehensible. There was construction going on downstairs, and they started working before 8 AM, making so much noise that it was impossible to rest. The front desk kept emphasizing that they had given us a free room upgrade during check-in. But what's the point of such an 'upgrade' if the upgraded room is still incredibly noisy? If there were quiet rooms facing other directions, even if it meant paying a difference, the front desk should have proactively explained and offered options, instead of using a supposed 'upgrade' to gloss over the core accommodation experience. The concierge service was also completely unnoticeable, a far cry from the convention center branch where the concierge recognized my room at a glance and proactively resolved issues with attention to detail. The soft services at the Wanda store are truly disappointing; the experience was extremely poor.

This is an excellent hotel. Though located in a commercial area, it's a tranquil oasis, giving off a secluded vibe. Every corner of the hotel is picturesque, and there are shared tea rooms everywhere, making it perfect for two or more families to stay together. After dinner, you can gather in the tea room for tea or cards. The room amenities are also top-notch, with complimentary makeup remover wipes and face masks, and the shampoo and shower gel are great. Breakfast is available until 1 PM with unlimited refills, afternoon tea until 6 PM, and late-night snacks after 9 PM. If you don't feel like leaving the hotel, there's always food available, and it's all delicious. The coffee at afternoon tea is especially fantastic! Very satisfied.

This is a really great hotel. Both the room facilities and the hotel amenities are excellent, and the breakfast is good too. The pool is very clean and beautiful. I participated in both the yoga and meditation classes, and I highly recommend them. It was a perfect start to my trip. Yuyuan Garden is right across the street. I suggest going for a walk there in the morning before the tourists arrive; it's very peaceful. Given all the services the hotel offers, the price offers incredibly good value for money. The only thing that needs improvement is the complimentary afternoon tea; it didn't come with any tea or coffee, just a plate of fruits and pastries that seemed like they belonged to breakfast. That was a bit disappointing.

The hotel has a very stylish interior. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was super comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent. The 6th-floor rooftop pool is definitely the highlight, and luckily my room was on the same floor—great vibes and very kid-friendly. The gym and laundry room on the 7th floor were also very clean. The location is convenient, close to both the train station and the subway, making it easy to get around. The service was attentive, breakfast was good, and it offers great value for money. Overall, highly recommended!

The hotel environment is quite good, right near Dianchi Lake (part of the reason I booked this hotel). During the National Day holiday, it wasn't overly crowded, and both breakfast and the dinner buffet were delicious. The housekeeping auntie was extremely, extremely responsible! Her service was top-notch. The concierge staff were also excellent; they could deliver meals to the room. Because I caught a cold due to the temperature drop in Yunnan these past two days, they even sent ginger tea. And since my flight was a bit later, they accommodated our request for a late check-out. Overall, besides the TV being a bit small, there's really nothing else to complain about. I've stayed in many good hotels, some even more expensive and with more prominent brands, but they weren't as good as this one. This hotel truly impressed me, please keep up the great work!

Exiting the hotel and turning left, walking down the slope past a traffic light, it's less than a five-minute walk to the east gate of Cuihu Lake – super convenient! The front desk staff were very welcoming, offering freshly made flower cakes upon check-in, and there were welcome fruits in the room. The twin room was clean and spacious, with a separate wet and dry area, and a powerful shower. The room curtains were quite thick, which is great for light sleepers. From the window, you could even catch a glimpse of Cuihu Lake, which was a pleasant surprise. Many of Kunming's important attractions are located around Cuihu Lake, making it very easy to explore. There are also plenty of dining options nearby – I loved it! I stayed for three days, went for a five-kilometer run around Cuihu Lake, and visited the Zhuanxin Farmers' Market, Yunnan University, Southwest Associated University, and the old streets. Unfortunately, I went on a Monday, so several memorial halls were closed, which was a shame. Overall, apart from the hotel breakfast needing some improvement in food quality, the other services and room size were excellent. In particular, the hotel offers great value for money and is definitely worth revisiting!

Overall, the hotel was great – a true all-in-one spot for dining, entertainment, and relaxation. It’s perfect for spending a few days unwinding. The facilities like the pool and gym were excellent. Everything you need is right here! Plus, the three meals a day offered by the hotel were quite tasty. On a different note, I needed to arrange dinner for my family and called twice in advance to book a restaurant. The front desk said the F&B department would contact me, but they never did, even after I checked out… a bit frustrating. When I checked in, the front desk told me our standard room was on the first floor. I acknowledged it, and then they repeated it, “first floor, okay?” I didn't quite understand why they emphasized it twice. It wasn’t until I got to the room that I realized the cafe’s outdoor terrace offers a direct view into the room. (The front desk could have just said that directly instead of being so vague; how would I know, being a first-time guest?) Three areas for improvement: 1. The non-slip mat in the shower was very dirty. 2. The coordination among the F&B staff needs to be better. 3. The front desk should be more direct. Repeating that the standard room was on the first floor in such a roundabout way completely confused me as a first-time visitor about what they were trying to convey!

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The hotel room was clean, the service was excellent, and it offered great value for money – we were very comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding; everything was freshly made, not pre-prepared. The pastries and buns were handmade and absolutely delicious – it's rare to find such homemade quality at a hotel. Right next to the hotel is a large, beautiful golf course. A big plus is the shuttle service to the cable car and subway station, and they even offer transfers to the Nationalities Park for sightseeing! I also have to commend the hotel's partnered photography service; photographer Xiao Xiao was professional and patient, with a great eye for composition and aesthetics. The photo shoot was efficient, and the final pictures exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend!

I chose this hostel for my solo trip, and the overall experience was surprisingly good. The room was very clean, and the bed had a privacy curtain and a bedside charging port, so you have your own small space when you pull the curtain. The bathroom and shower were clean, with plenty of hot water 24/7. The common areas had a great atmosphere for relaxing and chatting, where you can meet travelers from all over. The front desk service was attentive and even offered simple tips for local sightseeing routes. The location is excellent, convenient for dining, drinking, and getting around. It's fantastic value for money, a top choice for solo travelers, and I genuinely recommend it.
