The hotel, an ancient school with temple, has been expertly renovated (it won a design award in Milan) and every room has delightful details, the terrace with bells has an incredible view of the most important square of the old city is very relaxing.Our room had a view of the beautiful mountain at sunrise. The most beautiful thing about our stay, however, was the attention towards us from all the staff, the delicious breakfast and dinner were personalized according to our tastes and we recived all possible support continously. We participated to tea ceremonies, one of which was officiated by a ”tea master” and also afternoon tea with pastries. It should be noted that everything was included in the cost of the room, together with a course to learn how to cook the typical flower sweets of Lijiang, as well other amenities. Special thanks to the entire butlers team with whom we were able to communicate via WeChat before and during the stay to organize transfers and trips and in particular to Miss Becky Wei who personally accompanied us by foot to see the famous garden outside the city and speaking English she provided us with many useful explanations about the tea ceremony.
