The room was spotless when we arrived and was cleaned to a really high standard throughout our stay, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re travelling. The hotel itself feels well looked after and comfortable, and everything worked exactly as it should. What really stood out was the staff. Every single person we dealt with was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and happy to help. Anytime we needed directions, recommendations, or help figuring out transport, they went out of their way to explain things clearly and make sure we were sorted. Nothing felt like a hassle, and they were always smiling and approachable. The location is also a big plus – very convenient for getting around Shanghai, with shops, food, and transport links nearby. It made exploring the city really easy. Overall, this hotel offers great value, excellent cleanliness, and outstanding service. "The location is fantastic!! Cannot beat this location right on nanjing road. Popular eats such as lailai xlb 2 mins walk away. One consideration tho, for people with accessibility challenges the set up of this hotel is a bit strange. Within the same floor, somehow it’s separated into two levels. You need to climb up a narrow staircase to get up to your room for some rooms. This was a bit challenging with the suitcases. Other than that, can’t complain with this location."

"We had an outstanding and truly unforgettable stay at this hotel. Every member of staff was wonderful, and the manager, Shirley, went above and beyond to make sure we were completely comfortable throughout our visit. We were staying during my partner’s birthday, and the team made a genuine effort to turn it into a very special occasion. When renovations in the neighboring room caused some noise, Shirley kindly upgraded us to another room at no extra charge and even surprised us with a bottle of wine to celebrate the birthday. The rooms were perfect, with a stunning view from the window overlooking the famous and beautiful Shanghai skyline. This level of care and attention truly made our stay memorable."

Love the wonton and the aunty! After staying here for three days because we wanted to be near Disneyland, we moved to a five-star hotel on the Bund. "As a picky person who pays attention to every detail, I honestly couldn't find a single fault with this hotel! The environment is unbelievably quiet; once you close the door, it's your own little world, completely free from the sound of traffic downstairs. The service was impeccable. When I wanted some hot water at night, I called the front desk, and a staff member brought it up in just a few minutes, even thoughtfully including two paper cups. As for the facilities, the smart toilet, high-speed WiFi, and blackout curtains – every single one was a delight. Plus, the hygiene was top-notch; all the glassware was sealed with cling film, which made me feel incredibly reassured."

"Highly recommended! The front desk staff provided excellent service – they were very friendly, helpful, and always ready to answer any questions we had. They even assisted with parcel collection. The overall environment is comfortable, and the location is incredibly convenient. It's within walking distance to Nanjing Road, and about a 10-minute walk to Joy City Jing'an. We stayed in a suite, which was very new and incredibly quiet, making it ideal for families with children. As two adults with two kids, we found the space to be ample and very comfortable. The housekeeping staff were also very kind and friendly, which was a thoughtful touch. Overall, we had a very satisfying stay and would strongly recommend it!"

The hotel's location is superb, just a 10-minute drive from Pudong Airport and 18 minutes from Disneyland. They offer a 24-hour free shuttle service, which you can book in advance. The drivers are warm and reliable, so even with a late-night arrival, there's no need to worry. The room was spacious and bright, with a simple yet elegant design that felt warm and inviting. The Cloud Series bedding was soft and skin-friendly, with options for down or cotton pillows. The soundproofing was excellent, providing a sleep experience comparable to a five-star hotel. The bathroom had a wet/dry separation, and the full set of essential oil herbal toiletries felt high-quality. Thoughtful amenities like electric curtains and smart door locks were a nice touch, and a fresh fruit platter was delivered daily – attention to detail was top-notch. The service was absolutely impeccable! As soon as I got out of the car, staff members proactively helped with my luggage. Check-in was swift and efficient, and I was even offered hot rose tea. On the return trip from Disneyland, complimentary iced drinks were available by the shuttle, and upon returning to the hotel, I could request a foot bath, which instantly melted away fatigue. The family-friendly facilities were comprehensive, with a children's play area, baby bathtub, and kids' tableware all readily available, making it worry-free for families with kids. The dining was full of pleasant surprises. The buffet breakfast offered a mix of Western and Chinese options, with hot dishes, fruit, and freshly made noodles. Free late-night snacks were also provided. The hotel's surroundings offer convenient dining options, with a commercial area within walking distance and food delivery available to your room. MM653749****I booked this hotel by chance and I'm really satisfied. The check-in experience was incredibly smooth and rich, with all staff members being very proactive and service-oriented. As soon as I arrived, one staff member took my luggage, while another immediately offered tea. Everything felt very organized and efficient. Staff also proactively asked if I was going to Disneyland and introduced the hotel's services, which was a very thoughtful touch. The room rates are also very reasonable and a good value. The room fee even includes supper and breakfast. The breakfast is a Western and Chinese buffet with a wide variety of choices – wontons, noodles, congee, and even many types of condiments for the congee, as well as stir-fries, cold dishes, and a good selection of bread. The variety is extensive, and the food tastes delicious. You can tell the chef is very considerate in catering to guests' different tastes. Their 'late-night bowl of noodles' is essentially the evening supper, offering wontons, noodles, and congee. Although the variety isn't huge, it was perfectly sufficient for us in the evening. My digestive system isn't great, so a bowl of congee with some small dishes and wontons at night was truly wonderful and very satisfying. The pricing is also very reasonable. I heard from the staff that there's also a shuttle service to Disneyland and Zhoupu Metro Station, which is fantastic. This makes getting around incredibly convenient and it's perfect for families with children, as there's a kids' play area in the lobby. It's really great, offers excellent value for money, and is highly recommended.

GGuest UserWe have been traveling across China with 2 families for 5+ days (in this hotel 5 days). What I would like to admit is how the service is good (like the reception people are literally so friendly and welcoming, they always greeted us, helped us all the time and did everything they could) and the breakfast is amazing! (So many international people, multiculturalism). About the hotel: it was amazing too. The rooms are very cozy, nice, warm (they have a/c). The view was especially good, we had a nice view at the calm life of Shanghai and palm trees lol. The beds are comfy, warm. They do laundry by themselves, have free fruits from 15:00-16:00, foot massage. The reception helps with anything, I asked them for a latte coffee and pair of chopsticks at 3 am (they found it). The location is nice too, there is a subway station nearby (I had rode rent bikes every morning to subway). Overall, the hotel is very nice, with the best service from staff.

MM270941****Came for a relaxing vacation, and in winter, Banyan Tree's special rooms with the 'Yuexin Pool' are a top choice! The room has a heated private pool which is super comfortable. As soon as you enter the hotel, you're greeted by the scent of cinnamon essential oil; the Christmas atmosphere is really strong, and they even have craft activities. I'd definitely go back to experience it again if I get the chance. Cynthia called to check on us during check-out, which was very thoughtful. I'll choose this place again next time.

YYangblueaixinxinWe chose this hotel for a weekend staycation with our kids. Having read some reviews beforehand, my expectations were met. It's an older five-star hotel, and some facilities, like the automatic toilet and hairdryer, could use an update. On the positive side, any issues we had during our stay were addressed promptly. The room was clean, and the view was good. The hotel also called me before check-in to confirm my itinerary. My main complaint is with the complimentary fruit upon check-in. The quality was poor. If you're going to offer fruit, it should be good quality, especially since it's something edible, right? After I complained, they quickly replaced it with fresh fruit. But honestly, guests shouldn't have to point these things out. If I hadn't said anything, would we have just had to rely on rotten fruit? Don't they check these things before guests arrive? Or is it just a robotic process of putting it in the room and calling it a day? The homemade yogurt and strawberry milkshake at the executive lounge for breakfast were delicious, but the dessert section, particularly the cakes and juice, wasn't great. The soup dumplings (xiaolongbao) were also unremarkable. However, it's clear the hotel values service. Amanda, who assisted us when we checked out, was very warm and enthusiastic.

We stayed for two nights, and on the first morning, we rushed out to queue for cosmetics, leaving the bathroom counter cluttered. When we returned, everything was incredibly tidy and organized. They even thoughtfully placed our items on a non-woven fabric, and our charging cables were neatly tied and left on the table. The attention to detail was just incredible! They even left us a note—I was so touched! The overall cleanliness was excellent, and the room felt very cozy. I really love this design! My experience was 10/10! I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Shanghai Disneyland!!

The room facing the residential area had great natural light, and the room itself was very nice. After checking out, I could just send my information directly to Jiaojiao to get the invoice, and she would send me the e-invoice, which was very convenient. Jiaojiao also informed me that the hotel offers a free shuttle service to Tangzhen Metro Station every hour. She even helped me with my luggage onto the shuttle, which was great service. I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next business trip; it offers great value for money and excellent service.
